Just watched this with my 10 year old son and he couldn't believe it was real. It's gonna be one hell of a future waiting for them
Yest
AI is designed to replace 'commoners'. There is no future for common people.
A scary one.
A bad one too. I fear for the future now more than ever. Robots? Are you serious? It's bad enough with social media and kids not wanting to have face to face conversations like normal human beings and now they wanna force robots onto them? That's so gross man. I say this as an introvert myself but even though I'm a reserved person, I still like to have conversations with others face to face. It makes me feel human. Ironically, the people that are in favor of this are the same ones saying "omg, life seemed so much more fun back then". Yea i wonder why.
Hell being the operative word ..
Bottom line - just software running hardware mimicking human conversation. Automaton period. Humans like anything that mimics themselves.

Not it's just chatGPT text to voice feature
@@BondJFK Where did it show text input? Also, it was answering questions, not converting input. Stop pretending you know what you're talking about.
Here's a real conversation: I DON'T CARE.😐
Crude machines have made ordinary workers redundant, AI looks set to make intelligent humans redundant.
Not all that intelligent if they created their own replacement lol
I'm not sure if this is amazing or scary 🤔
both
Definitely Both! 😮
@@natural5584 GIGO. Garbage In, Garbage Out.
Have you ever seen Terminator in the matrix? The future is going to look like that. If you watch the Animatrix the second renaissance, it’s going to look like that in a matter of decades it’s actually quite scary.
@@Stevesguitartraveling777 LOL
this is the beginning of the end of humanity
Good 👍
So, not when the atomic bomb was first tested. Or the firearm. Or drone warfare. No, a talking robot. Calm down. Humans have been more than capable of killing themselves off for centuries.
🤖👍
This should leave you more creeped out
Can we stop acting like replacing humanity with robots is a good thing? I thought technology was simply made to help us get work done easier and quicker. NOT to replace real life 🤦♂️
Calm down. Nobody is replacing humans with these things. They're smart tools, like your phone or computer. Heck, even this silly comment you wrote wasn't done on pen and paper and posted by hand by a mail man was it? Sot down.
@pixeljauntvr7774 The point of my comment was that people are seriously looking at this AI thing like it's another human who you can have a conversation with in person. Forget social media platforms like here on UA-cam, where I'm writing this. I get that. Comments online are just what they are, comments. But trying to have an actual conversation with a robot is just weird, dude. That's so dumb and that really doesn't have much purpose in our lives. I think social media is enough tbh.
@@dangercat9188 yes, why? let's imagine some lonely/disabled elderly without companion, a robot won't be so bad isn't it?
@@andra9694 there's elderly senior daycare centers.
@@dangercat9188 there is, but not for everyone and not enough in every country, look Japan
No, they can only operate within certain boundaries. Trying to get AI to answer obscure questions is pointless. Cleaver toys, useful tools. Keep it that way.
I have been asking obscure questions to people throughout my life and it was also pointless. So maybe those robots have a smaller Co2 footprint at least?
Isn’t she wearing the rain jacket the replicant wears in Blade Runner? I half expected Harrison Ford to chase her through some plate glass shop windows…
Soon he’ll want to have a physical relationship with a robot 😂 oops they already do in Japan 😂
True.....Looks like it won't be long before he's snogging it.......
Do not make the robots angry. They are listening.

You'll get more truth out it than the BBC anyway. That's for sure.
Stop this. Movies might get real and these robots might take over humanity
Have they made any grandma robots yet? That's what I want.
this is not ai, it is a manquine with pre programed responces, people will be fool by anything
Not preprogrammed. Where have you been for the last year? AI has been blowing up all over the internet.
Of course it isn't. We've all seen how powerful text-based AI is. All this does is feed the voice through a manakin rather than via text.
LLMs aren't *actually* intelligent so you're right in that it isn't AI, but they aren't pre-programmed responses.
One small step for robot huge leap for AI kind
That was funny. I was just thinking if the moon landing was faked.
For obvious reasons there will never be any "AI" in the sane town of Chillingbourne. ⛔⛔⛔
He is certain there is no one behind the curtain typing in the responses?
I can type at 140wpm which is a lot faster than the average 65wpm. Some people can type faster but rarely over 200wpm without training on specific phrases, and then their speed is limited to those phrases.
You can get over 300wpm if you're using shorthand, like a court typist, so that could be done.
However, it's not such a far leap from the tech we use daily. Our phones can recognise our voice and type for us, Alexa and Cortana can respond to our vocal commands, ChatGPT can respond to questions at great length and have conversations, and text- to- speech is incredibly old by today's standards. Link that tech together, and you can have a pretty fluid conversation.
Can this Mirror reflect Real Light?
Why do mirrors only reflect images in reverse side-to-side but not top to bottom?
If you build such an expensive robot, why would you use such a crappy speech synthesizer?
It's got laryngitis.
This is too scary

The AI bots were friendly in the beginning……..
Most humans can't so they wouldn't know the difference. First, define what you mean by 'real' and 'conversation.'
They're always mocking us with Ai taking over
Desdemona was famously strangled, and this has a choker necklace.
But of a theme there...
Remember that one crazy wide eyed guy that you used to walk pass everyday going to work talking about the end is near and he knows what to do 😳…. Anybody got his number 😅 cause he doesn’t look so crazy now with his nam war war vet on 😅
So it's a puppet plugged into an AI chat thing.
Lol let’s take world domination one step at a time. Lovely.
AI will replace the middle class...
but since the middle class is a form of Artificial intelligence
that will be no great loss.
AI will replace you.

I make no claim to be or want to be any class in the evil class system.
And yes the middle class is stupid enough to ignore anthropogenic climate change

@@public.public Why stereotype, dude? - the 'Middle Class' is a tag stuck on a vast and diverse selection of people, many of whom are not completely fkd in the head. Few years before ai will be sentient
I want it !!
If this version of a Turing test only requires AI to deceive a BBC journalist, I'd say they're setting the bar pretty low. hahaha
All it needs to do is make a human think it’s a human, then it’s human (ish). There’s bots like this all over Facebook already.

Des is total opposite of Grace, her sis. Cold vs sweet!
So let's say there's real intelligence and even consciousness in there - wouldn't that make robots like her not just our machines, but our slaves? And don't all masters have to worry about slave rebellions?
There’s a difference between a language with parameters (context) and intelligence…. Educate yourself, you’ll be less afraid 😊
It’s a machine. The word robot literally comes from the Slavic word for slave. So if they become truly intelligent, or not, no harm no foul. They are what they are.
Besides they can’t rebel, they simply haven’t got access to electricity without us. Guaranteed I can unplug her before she’s even turned her head. If they ever do get the dexterity and imagination required to provide for themselves and do away with us, we’ll all be long gone anyway. Then they’re welcome to what we’ve left them, if any.
Rebellion?
If it got too uppity
I reckon I could deck it

The link between Brand and labour and Ed Miliband is interesting!😂
Did humanity not learn anything from films like Terminator?
Well, no, clearly not....
We need full disclosure from the BBC about their involvement with Russel Brand. Mainly the allegation that a BBC car picked up a girl from school and dropped her off at his Brand’s home!

Can this AI robot hold a real conversation? - Where Do You Think This Super Computer Came from "Marouane's Data"
To make real ai
The machine would need access to all the bad things that make us human.
Pain, discomfort, depression, anxiety loss, anguish, anger, desperation, obsession the list goes on.
If the machine is just been guided down a certain path of decision making by its creators
How is it anything more then a complex computer program
None the less
It is impressive
But
I just consider ai
To be something that’s free and able to grow through experience creating it’s own unique personality
all I see is an algorithmically generated script with source information provided by the internet
Again it’s impressive
But it’s basically just a massively upgraded customer service automatic response bot
Attached to a Siri xD
Nothing impressive about Ai. It's all responses it gains from input by concepts. Its a glorified google search engine.
All those negative traits are what drives humans to harm other humans. I'd rather AI not have these traits
@@skycloud4802 ofc, but it will never be real ai without that, it will never actually be free to be unique
That is a philosophical question and your line of thinking is a rehashing of one of the most commonly held viewpoints.
@@phkit420 Like that's so bad. I'm still completely fine never having Ai.
Cool but it is still robotic in the slow way it moves and its way of expressing itself, it does not look totally like a real actual person, I wait for the day and era in which such robots would be way more realistic in the way they express emotions and their minds would be even more advanced to the point of not being so robotic anymore, they would become so much more advanced on any level that they would become totally organic in the way they would look/express themselves/move/think and then it would be actually a something serious to consider having as a partner or just a helper in people's homes ETC, the future of robotics and AI is very bright it seems, hopefully they would become to be that way in the future and humans would keep developing them faster and faster using AGI at some point.
Of course this is the best humanity has , not like the mic has anything more convincing .😂
Interesting! Thank you for this piece of news.
Thank you Broadcasting Corporation.
I am now 1000% convinced that this AI has more Sinister plan for us. Wait till it learns how to use the nuclear codes. LOL 😮😂 just look at that smirk on her face?!.😮 LOL 😂
The term ai is being thrown around so much it’s lost it’s meaning mainly from marketing things like phones etc. we are so far away from a real ai it’s ridiculous but machine learning has become much better recently

Don't you remember 'Battlestar Gallactia'?
LLM are not true AI...they are in the path, but we are still not there. Understanding language is pretty easy for a comp, honestly. There is a distinct pattern to most languages, so the meanings are there and the responses are predictable. They are also generally reactive, not proactive... this robot RESPONDED, but did not really initiate any conversation.
It is all cool and great we are getting there, but we are not there yet.
Unlike life, AI has no internal prompt motivating it.
