Kind of like using a calculator to get a answer to a math problem...calculators are great for getting the answer quickly, but it's important that you actually know how to do the work. Same for actions in Photoshop. Actions are great, especially in a time crunch, but it's always nice to actually know how to do something for yourself. Thanks for another great video. Amazing... I've been using Photoshop since v3.05, and I've got to say this is the best PS tutorial resource I've ever seen. Fantastic techniques, super clear explanation of the steps, and excellent production values too.. keep up the awesome work. :)
For anyone who bought the action & LUTs - if you want to 'install' the LUTs so they show up in the 3D LUTs drop-down menu, instead of loading them from the folder each time, copy them to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2018\Presets\3DLUTs ( *note that this requires Administrator privileges* ). I already had a LUT called candlelight in the menu, so I renamed Unmesh's to candlelight2 before copying them over. Obviously this is just for Windows. I don't own a Mac so maybe someone who does can help with the Mac equivalent?
never mind the glass, that hand is fucking awful, looks like a loaded gun. Great edit, great grading, bad photo. Irony here is that after you added the glass, that hand is even more prominent.
This works great for tight shot. Source texture is a little small for large images making the streaks look big. Could experiment with different texture files. Great work.
