I always say team work makes the dream work. When you have a saw mill you always have slabes to deal with. Using the slabs for cooking down you syrup is a sweet Idea. Here in Alaska we have birch for syrup making. Ive always wanted to try making some but am always so busy qith everything else I haven't done it yet.good job and wishing you good luck with the syrup.
Just found your channel got a new sub here. love your chopsaw set up for salvaging your slab wood. You’re right it definitely takes a lot of firewood when making maple syrup. Good luck with your channel!
I got to make s stop like yours so my wood ends up all the same length. I been just eye balling it and make a mess that way. Too many long pieces the way Ido it. A stop to slide the slabs against is great idea!
Thanks so much for subscribing. I built the roller table with lumber We sawed. I got the $40 ms261from the junk pile and put an after marked top end on it. I'm glad you liked the video, come back and visit again. Brent
I live in the maple syrup capital of the province I live in and love the stuff. You chopped up a nice load of wood to make your syrup. It looked like your chainsaw needs a minor idle adjustment to keep the chain from spinning or a clutch issue if idle can't be set. Have a great day!
@@JelenOutDoors Thanks for checking in Paul. The $40 still is a work horse.I think it's little idle and a little low adjustment. I'll get around to adjusting it some day. Thanks again Brent

Thanks for stopping in. We store a lot of wood in IBC tote cages so, we cut it all to fit them. It makes our wood shed stacks even too.

Glad your wife switched to working on the same side as the saw cutting, much safer.
She's a pretty safe worker. When she saw the wood was making her reach under the saw she changed sides.
Thanks for stopping by
