i’m a senior this year planning on going to fiu. literally everything about this school was appealing to me, this kinda solidified it! this was really helpful thank u bestie
Current FIU Onlinr student, I used to live in Orlando but had never been to Miami. My whole life school spirit and being involved has been important to me, so thank you for giving me insight to the campus and what the vibe is like
I live in NY, I’m moving to Miami and I just got my esthetician license in NY but I’m thinking of becoming a Aesthetic Nurse , so I’m looking at schools in Miami , very helpful ! ❤️
I have an 4.2 GPA and 1020 SAT ( I’m taking it again in august since it was my first time ) do you think I have a chance? I’ve taken dual Enrollment classes and IB classes as well Update: I GOT IN even though I retested and scored an 1070
Hannah. This is a great video. Socialization is a big problem. Hannah do you think that an international student will have more opportunities to socialize if they live on campus?
It is hotter in Miami period. When u said 4 hours north I was like OFC. u go north it gets colder. U can go to Orlando and it be 75 while its 89 in Miami
Do you think going to UCF is better or to FIU? I wanted to go to UCF but I was admitted for summer term not fall as I requested. I want to study either medicine or computer science. I was also considering USF. I am so lost
This is MEEE right now. Contemplating between FIU and UCF. But FIU is offering me more money and Miami just has more than orlando in general. I also live in Miami so I think it’ll be better for me but I’m confuseddd
heyy, for my exchange program (1 semester) I wanna go to FIU but I’m a bit worried about transportation, do you have any idea how most exchange students at FIU get around the city..?
Hey this is a topic that I'm pretty passionate about, the public transportation here pretty much sucks, but it is improving. You can get all your necessities by just walking across the street from campus (like restaurants pharmacies and grocery stores) but other than that you might have to use ubers taxis or the school bus system.
I was looking to migrate from my current university in india to Fiu cauz they have tie up with them, im currently pursuing my bachelors in business administration and llb, so is it worth to take a shift
Lmao yes! I had no idea how many Russian speakers they have here, yeah i did only online classes for a semester and they were pretty good. Definitely recommend it
Don’t worry it’s nothing like an actually competitive school like harvard, but i think every year it gets a little bit more competitive. So if you have an over 3.2 gpa and an sat score above 1200 you will make it in 💓
I’ll be transferring in fall! Most of my classes is at the BBC campus. I’m currently signed up for the university apartments in modesto. You think I’ll be fine commuting or should I look for a closer place?😅
Forget how the buildings look. You will have the worst experience at FIU. There is no such thing as a college experience at FIU. Unless you plan on staying on campus 24/7 good luck. As soon as you leave be ready to deal with the Miami people’s ignorance. All that aside, the classes are a joke. I coasted through all of my dual finance/economics with a minor in math degree classes without even a sweat. The school is a big joke. Do not get suckered in.
This school seems amazing! I want to try and apply from Mcc, a community college in nj next fall but I don't know what they look for in students? Any reccomendations.
Hmm I honestly am not to sure but if you meet the requirements and are apart of any outside programs like sports teams internships ect i bet u will have a great chance of making it in 😁
Am I allowed to ride my own bicycle anywhere? I'm looking at Biscayne Bay, but if you only know about Modesto, that's ok. Any information is appreciated.
You’re so right FIU Is soo underrated and there’s not a lot of vlogs on it! I’m starting this summer so I hope to see you around you seem really cool!
Lmao thank you 💓💓💓

Thank you for this video. As a Miami native I wanted to go FIU to avoid rent costs. But this video made me excited to go. 😊

i got into fiu with like a 3.2 1200 SAT out of state 💀 i’m sure you did fine
i got in w a below 3.0 GPA & a 20 on the ACT 😭. but im contemplating between FIU or GSU
Hannah. This is a great video. Socialization is a big problem. Hannah do you think that an international student will have more opportunities to socialize if they live on campus?
Yes! 100% I honestly want to move back to campus because the social life was so great so many international students there
I’m going to fiu in the summer and I’m super excited
I think ive actually seen you in school before while recording lol. You are gorgeous
Lmaoo that is so funny! I probably look so weird when i am recording, but thank u anyways haha 😂
@@HannahKosoff Nah, you looked beautiful, I almost walked up to you to say hi but didnt feel like bothering while you were recording

hey, i may be attending fiu! how is the student life? is there parties and lots to do around campus?
Heyooo tbh my social life at fiu has been the best its ever been, so yeah there’s always some stuff going on around campus

Uhmmm am so confused can anyone tell me the part she is talking about like is it good or not

Is it interesting? And is there computer engineering department?
i have a weighted 4.8 and a sat score of 1060... what are my chances for fall? im so nervous
unweighted 3.75
i think your chances are really good, idk much about sat scores but the lowest gpa they accept is 3.3 so your at least good on that
@@no-ht2fj i got in with a GPA below 3.0 🙃

Does the university offer scholarships to students?

it was like 100 degrees 3 days straight here smh
Wtf, thats terrible 😂
⭐️🏄♀️
Is fiu a bike friendly campus?
YES! The sidewalks r perfect for bikes and skateboards
hey i was wondering what your gpa was? im going into my sophomore year i want an idea of what I need to get in?
Unweighted it was 3.6 :)
@@HannahKosoff oh thank god! i was concerned about my gpa because i was told that the average was 4.0, but if i keep my gpa i should be fine (3.7)
I am an alumnae BA in International Relations if anyone has any questions.
Hi! I know this comment is old but I am a sophomore IR student considering transferring to FIU. How was your experience in that program?!
How much scholarship does fiu provide to international students and how to apply for these scholarships?🙂
Lol I guess you have lots of students who speak Russian, btw I wanna apply for an online bachelor program, do you think it's good?
Lmao yes! I had no idea how many Russian speakers they have here, yeah i did only online classes for a semester and they were pretty good. Definitely recommend it

i want to go here bc its close to home but my gpa is only 2.8 :'( my weighted is 4.0 but i heard they dont care abt weighted aghhh

It depends, do you have a car?
You've probably figured everything out by now but the fiu shuttle is a good option to take between campuses
great video keep it up!
i am such fan of fiu i am going to commit Seppuku
Nioceee
what would be the requirements to get accepted to fiu with a good scholarship?
What about the jon opportunities for new students especially international

Is it safe in Miami or near the campus ground ?
Yep yep, idk about some parts of miami but around campus is super safe
Are the classes mostly lecture halls or smaller classrooms?
A combo of both
From an alumni. DON’T DO IT!
Why?

Tell me more about this. Were the classes just dumbed down or did you not have to do much or what?
Tell us more on this.

I'm going there for summer school I'm 13 years old on July 6
Soooo correct. Usually I am bad at making friends but I have such great friends now at FIU from joining clubs. Great advice.
Omg im so happy for you! And thank youuu 💓💓💓
Does FIU provide scholarship for international students?
Yep it has soo many
I am international aspirant for fiu from india to do masters, how is the cost of living there is it too expensive or how to live there affordable??
In Miami an average 1 bedroom apartment is about $1700-2700, gas is about $3.20-3.70 a gallon and grocery isn’t bad
When I was there people were say FI Who?
😂

Yeah you can the school is super bike friendly :)
Do they do online class for software engineer at fiu
I’m sure they do, they have so many options for online classes
Good school, just don't believe that it is "urban". Miami is totally deceptive. Hopefully things will get better for Florida without Desantis!
If you’re a chem major stay away
