Loved every single one of these! When I saw the spindles, I thought how cute they would be made up to look like old fashioned gas lit street lamps. Different minds, different directions! All so cute! Saved this video for future inspiration. Thank you!
You're so refreshing to watch! Calm, not loud, or flinging your hair from side to side AND you don't use the word "GUYS" 24 times in a 13 minute video!😱.... Please keep up the great video's, they are trying enjoying to watch!☺️
My favorite was the tray with the candles and ornaments. My decorating theme this year will be an old fashion snowy Christmas in blues and silvers. I'm also decorating my kitchen area in a gingerbread theme. Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful ideas, now I'm excited to get started on my diy projects for Christmas.
Sabra S Hello! I change my theme up every year too. I’m doing Blue Plaid Nutcracker Christmas. I found nut crackers at dollar tree a couple weeks ago. I was totally thrilled! I just started painting my large DIY pieces this morning. I’m excited too🎄🎄🎄
My tree is done with white and silver. I add pops of blue into white and silver around the house. I have a winter woodland vibe around my fireplace with the deer, fox and squirrels made of natural materials. I just love it.
Hi, this year I have a “3 golds” theme... white gold, yellow gold and rose gold. Have plenty of gold and silver ornaments, but made most of the rose gold ornaments myself w/ spray paint, glitter, pearls, ribbons and more...
I just love shopping at thrift stores and the restore in my area. It's such an inexpensive way to pick up previously loved or used for other things products and totally making them into unique, beautiful new things all together. Repurposing is just fun to do! Your items all turned out so nice. Although they were inexpensive and not very labor intensive they turned out looking so high end and will be beautiful in your home for years to come. This is a perfect example of what I say, which is that you really don't have to have a lot of money to have beautiful things or a gorgeous home! TFS Liz!
Hi Liz, The christmas tree looks really nice. A little goes a long way. I am going to go to my thrift store & look for some xmas goodies. Thanks for sharing and have a great day !
Lovely, easy and creative decor ideas, Liz. My favs were the sleigh, burlap sacks (on my list to look for some) and the Christmas tree brought to new life. My theme this year is Woodland in white with woodland decorations and animals in wood, silver, and a hint of blush pink, large blush pink cabbage roses tucked between the branches and a huge spray of sparkling white dripping florals with silver branches around a soft glittery star at the top. Also tucked around the tree are several large white feather owls. I have some tall lighted birch trees from Home Goods that I place around my living room as well, and add silver metal stags and lanterns. I wrap a soft plush white throw blanket with big white pompoms that looks like snowballs around the tree to give the illusion of snow. I tend to change the theme of my decor about every year. Such a fun time of year. Looking forward to your next projects! ❤🎄❤
Where do I begin? Liz, these CHRISTmas decorations are absolutely STUNNING, ALL of them!! Seriously!! Let’s see, the spindles GORGEOUS! The let it snow tray, I want one! The print, I love it!! Everything turned out so pretty! I’m ready for CHRISTmas now!! You are so talented and you have such a magic touch
i have to say "I LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO!!!" I an downsizing and I hate it but oh well. Need to reinvent my things for my new place. you give me awesome ideas. THANK YOU! Keep it up girl
L E - I went from a 3,000 sq.ft. house to a 900 sq.ft. apartment, so I understand! BUT - once I really got into the idea of "being freed" from so much "stuff", I embraced what I really loved and sold/donated everything else! It has been five years now and I can honestly say that I don't miss the merchandise or the space. I enjoy the two crafts/projects that I kept tools etc. for and absolutely love my apartment - it is so easy and quick to keep spotless that I have more time for family, friends, crafting, reading, music etc. etc.! Added bonus: More money for travel from saving on utility bills, paying for weekly yard service, blah, blah, blah!! I hope you can be happy and comfortable in your new space.
Loved the candle tray and the thrift Christmas tree. I gave away my tree and 90% of my ornaments last year to a family who had lost everything in a house fire. Now I am going out looking for a small tree to rescue and jazz up with loads of lights. Happy creating. Cheers Marie ‘downunder’ 🌲🎄🌲
The blue frame you painted black and used the Let It Snow sign, was a frame to put a calendar in. It would come out every time you changed the month or even a new calendar....I love what you did with it!!
Hello Liz...great projects!!! AWESOME loved the painted wood presents 🎁 and the tray with candles i will make these for sure! As always TYFS take care Liz🎄❄🎄❄🎄
I use the same colors and family ornaments every year. I also have a craft business so I add items each year that I’ve made. I’m obsessed with snowmen! My colors are traditional, reds and greens and some natural burlap thrown in certain areas.
I've got 2 Xmas trees. A white one for my dresser...all whites, golds, silvers and pearls. My living room one's atop a buffet....green with tinsel, white lights and mostly teal, purple and green ornaments...some silver and gold, too. The colors look like a peacock.
I always decorate with red, green & silver. Love your ideas and description on how to get it done. My favorite project was the tree! Great tree it was small enough to fit in so many places.
Renewing the life of an old Christmas tree made me so happy. It makes me sad to see them tossed away...they have so many happy memories to share with us!
Loved the sleigh and the updated winter print. Decorating this year like usual with lots of rustic like deer pinecone and handmade ornaments, burlap and buffalo check.
I haven't even thought about Christmas yet bc I love Halloween so much but the Let it snow sign and the updated tree were my favorites! When you rubbed the paint on the spindles was that cloth wet or dry?
My two favorites were the tree at the end and the winter picture where you painted the frame. For that picture, it looked like there was a little bit of green tint in the picture, so I might have chosen to paint the frame a subtle green and then drybrush on the white, leaving a little of the green showing. I think it would help tie the two together. I have one other question/suggestion: When you are covering something with paper, like you did with the sled, is there a reason you don't just apply the Mod Podge to the sled, press the paper on and let it dry, and then cut away the excess paper as opposed to trying to make a template? It just seems to me like it would save a step. I loved the idea of cutting the spindles up and bundling them as well. I was a little sad that a lot of the detail at the center of the spindles was hidden by the picks and the ribbon, but I really couldn't see a better way to do it. The picks and ribbon really finished it off. Your projects are always very creative!
Do people really change colors annually? I stick with traditional red/green/gold colors and then just update accents. My tree is not themed either. I change the ribbon every year though
I am always amazed by your creativity and resolve to turn something someone discarded into something beautiful and useful. My favorite was the redone winter print. Blessings to you and yours.
I’m actually doing traditional country Christmas , red, some navy and white this yr , pulling out some things I haven’t used in a while ,so many pretty red thing in the stores ... These turned out amazing, love every single one of them , thank you sharing 👍🏻🤗💕. Love the spindle s
Loved them all but candle tray and the Christmas tree were my favorites, I decided to decorate with teal and silver this year. I also love the re-store and thrift stores, always looking to re-purpose.. You did great.
All the items are so cute! I am going with traditional red and green this year. I don’t do a theme on my tree. I always use ornaments that were given to us as gifts, things that my kids and I have made through the years.
Love your looks. So simple. I seem to go into a store and look got inspiration and pray something hit me. I’m into the buffalo check just a little. So simple and heart warming.thank you!
I loved the tray with the silver balls and candles and the Christmas tree when you sprayed snow on it. Loved them all. I have been going thrifting for a while and getting some great finds. Can't wait to put them all to use. Thanks for the great ideas.
What wonderful ideas. You are able to visualize beauty where I would surely miss it. I’m learning a lot from you! Thank you. My Christmas colors are black, gold, silver, copper, bronze, with accents of red.
I'm going for a shabby chic theme - silver and gold with a mix of some burlap textures. My faves are the santa sack and upcycled Christmas tree! Love how neat you flocked the tree.😍 Thanks Liz for making our day!💕💕💕
I loved the sleigh and the candle center piece. My tree this year is going to be red and white and also decorated with some red trucks and several greenery. I love putting the green color as an accent pieces.
I decorate my tree in red and gold primarily. In addition to the Christmas balls (which are all glass in differing sizes and shapes), I use clip on large poinsettias from Kirklands and Pier One. I add some ice cycles that are glittery and sparkling. Many of them have been collected over the years. Finally, I incorporate whatever is current for a particular year. As I get older, I find I’m not so militant about how it should be decorated. Now I use memorable items, or things that remind me of times with my children when they were little, and things that I just like to look at.
At my home we are doing a vintage/elegant/thrifted style. I have been buying up non-breakable silver ornaments at the thrift stores and I plan to use them in bowls and such. I do have greens for the mantle and I would love to work in some mercury glass. My oldest son will go away to college this coming year. These last four years, I have been recovering from cancer and the negative effects of my immunotherapy. This year I am feeling better and I really want to make this Christmas great. 😁👍💖
I loved the little tree that you added snow to. It's adorable. My main Christmas tree is very 'classic' and I never get tired of it during the holidays, plus it carries over well into the NY. All of the ornaments & garland are clear. When the tree lights are on, the tree appears to be covered in ice. It's gorgeous.
I am planning to go with the black and white check along with red and black check again this year. I still love it! Although I am going to do my fireplace in a frosty green theme...🎄Loved all the projects!
Lovely items, Liz!! You always find great thrift treasures! Loved the burlap bags under the tree!! The candle tray with ornaments was so pretty! I love silver!! Your sled came out nice, but I cringed when I saw you paint that beautiful wood piece!! I know you wanted to make it farmhouse, but it was lovely as is, also! The tree really looked good after your daughter helped it out!! This year I will be using a lodge theme on my Christmas tree in my great room. Buffalo checks, red, and some silver! I do a gingerbread one in my kitchen, and a few others with different themes. Tyfs!!
I'm thinking about adding rose gold ornaments to my all natural tree decorations. Don't really want to spend any more $ than I have to for the tree! I LOVED the diy on the tree you did!
I am using light blue, navy blue and silver this christmas with some grey and white accents. My family owns an online ribbon store so I have some very pretty bows! Thanks for the santa sleigh redo! I’ll be doing the same but in navy!!
I have never DIYd anything because I convinced myself am not crafty. You make it look like any and fun. So inspired ... and I need something to get out of pandemic funk!
Hi Liz. Watching this after the holidays but who cares. 🎄🥰 Your pieces are timeless. Love the Santa Sack the most. Brilliant ideas once again. Those 2 red wrapped gifts on wood project was fantastic. Neat idea on using the leftover letters for its outline to still stencil. Nifty sunshine. Thanks again. 💜
I love, Love your videos. This is exactly what I needed to inspire me with great Christmas ideas. This year has been a little depressing with so much stay-at-home time. I love that your ideas are thrifty and easy to do. Thanks so much. A senior citizen from Arizona.
You have a good eye. Love the sleigh and gifts. I never find nice items like you do at my thrift shops. The spindles would make great cancel stick. This year in my main room I will be using red green and gold to decorate.
My fav today - It's the most wonderful time sign. I always decorate with red, green, and gold. It's the only time of year I can. And I love trees with multicolor lights - such sweet memories.
I'm doing gold, rose gold and silver. Actually doing some DIY cone trees using thin cardboard, paints, sequins and glitter too. Will also make xmas ornaments in the same colors. Thank you for the inspiration, they all looked great!
Good morning Liz! We have a brand new addition on our home and in it, a huge great room. A blank canvas for the holidays! I love your videos for ideas! I’m not sure what Christmas colors yet but the room is a variety of sage greens!
All were so clever and cute! I would have left the tray black with the white candles. Just a personal preference. You have a terrific thrift store. I rarely see prices like you quoted!
I could not possibly pick a favorite Liz!! You've out done yourself! I love all of them!! I love the music you're playing too🤗👍👍🌲!! I'm a sucker for traditional Christmas, and I'm stickin to it😁!! Thanks do much for the awesome inspiration! ❤
I liked them all. The picture sign, "Let it snow". was very cute and I especially like the idea of giving that old winter scene picture some new life. IT Looked so nice when it was completed. I would have to say that the wooden presents were my favorite of all!
luv the gift that was sitting by your fireplace and the little christmas tree. I love them all.... you always do cutest things and your home is beautiful... My favorite color is blue but last year I did silver n royal blue for christmas. This year I probably go with the same color scheme but will add little black n white buffalo check in the mix
loved every single project you created, gave me alot of wonderful ideas, my absolute favorite was the last one, that tree was gorgeous after your sprucing it up, thank you for sharing!!!
You have such an eye to see something that's old and rugged and turn it into a elegant and beautiful masterpiece! Great job on all of it but the renewed snowy pine tree was just Gorgeous! ❄🌲🎁
My daughters and I love to watch your videos together!! We are getting a ton of great Christmas craft ideas and can't wait to get started! We like the candle tray and the spindle bundle best! We are sticking with red, green and white this year. We think it would be pretty to use green and red ornaments in the candle tray to go with our theme.

This year I’m doing natural woods, whites and greens with some dried orange slices. Going Scandinavian!

Love this video. This year I am going with a mostly white christmas tree, but accents of red in our family room with our bookshelves.

The Christmas tree
Loved the burlap bags under the tree idea. Nothing under mine either and it looks so bare. Great idea for stencils on them too.
would like to see some "pop" of other colors-- not just white for holiday decor ideas. I liked the snow added to the Christmas tree
I've got 2 Xmas trees. A white one for my dresser...all whites, golds, silvers and pearls. My living room one's atop a buffet....green with tinsel, white lights and mostly teal, purple and green ornaments...some silver and gold, too. The colors look like a peacock.

Hi Elise Vautour. I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you for watching my videos. 😍
I just found you! I liked the white candles and silver ornaments. & the refurbished Christmas tree! SAWEET!! Thanks, Liz!
Loved the red christmas boxes and the jar with candle. The Christmas tree looks fabulous. Thank you for the video.
I love, Love your videos. This is exactly what I needed to inspire me with great Christmas ideas. This year has been a little depressing with so much stay-at-home time. I love that your ideas are thrifty and easy to do. Thanks so much. A senior citizen from Arizona.
Hi Bonnie Hillis. I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you for watching my videos. 😍
The christmas picture but also the spindle bundles. Great job thanks for all the inspiration. TFS
Those spindles would be beautiful candlesticks!!
I loved what you did with the simple pieces of wood! Wow!!!!
Good morning Liz! We have a brand new addition on our home and in it, a huge great room. A blank canvas for the holidays! I love your videos for ideas! I’m not sure what Christmas colors yet but the room is a variety of sage greens!

I'm so glad you liked it, Paula Flatt! Stay tuned for more fun videos. 😊
All were so clever and cute! I would have left the tray black with the white candles. Just a personal preference. You have a terrific thrift store. I rarely see prices like you quoted!
Hi Beverly Knight. Yeah! Isn't it cute? Thanks for sharing your choice!
Hi Matildarose. Thanks for letting me know!💕
luv the gift that was sitting by your fireplace and the little christmas tree. I love them all.... you always do cutest things and your home is beautiful... My favorite color is blue but last year I did silver n royal blue for christmas. This year I probably go with the same color scheme but will add little black n white buffalo check in the mix
Loved the spindles, but the sleigh was my favorite 😍. The tissue paper was genius!

This Christmas I plan on using copper, brown, green and white. Love the wooden gifts.
You have such an eye to see something that's old and rugged and turn it into a elegant and beautiful masterpiece! Great job on all of it but the renewed snowy pine tree was just Gorgeous! ❄🌲🎁

Oh, thank you, Viola Alley. Stay safe. ❤️
My colors for Christmas are navy blue, cream and white with a tiny bit of silver. Going for the very elegant look
You have prodigious hands, all beautiful! thank you very much.
I use a lot if dusty rose and teal at Christmas. Matches the rest of my home.
