So weird, just came across this video, I was in the first year to move into st Thomas court when it was built (2004!) great room tour, it’s changed a lot since then, we had key cards rather than fobs. And the post got delivered to each flat. I was in B102, so had a view right onto the junction outside... the bottles in the window started from the first year by the way... it was in the local newspaper!
Hey man I am going to Plymouth University this year hopefully. I have been told to pick accomodation. I was wondering whether you had any tips or secret knowledge about which is the best residence at the Univeristy? Any tips would be very useful as I'm finding it quite tough to decide :/
Ian Gordon What's important to know wherever you go, you're gonna have fun. Id recommend avoiding Alexandra Works as everyone there complains about how far away it is from everything. People also don't like Robbins as they say it feels like a prison, but it is incredibly cheap and I've had pre drinks there before and enjoyed myself. St Thomas court is really good value as you get a double bed, huge kitchens and it's minutes from the shopping center.
All the main uni ones on campus, francis drake,Mary newman and the neighbouring ones on the uni site and them the bougier and more of campus you go like asto house which is beautiful the less people there are to get to know basically
Hey I just applied for my accommodation at Plymouth. I put the Old Dairy as my first choice- just wondering if you've ever been over there and what you think of it?
Eimear Lawlor Gilwell is known as the cheap halls in Plymouth uni. From what I've heard from friends who live there, the quality of the beds are quite poor. But honestly I think you'll have fun in any uni halls. Plus you can change halls if you're really unhappy with it.
Which kind of accommodation in Plymouth uni that you think is the best choice for me ? I'm international student in Plymouth uni . I don't know whether this question is weird, but i really want to know , hahahaha
Katherine Zeng This is a good question, and I think being an international student it can be scary because you'll probably never seen the university let alone the halls. Any of the halls including Francis Drake, St Thomas, Robbins, Alexandria Works, Mary Newman will all provide suitable accommodation for student life in the city. I think getting accommodation on campus is the best thing I can recommend.
Thank you for answer my question ! Actually , I want to pick one apartment which the price is reasonable and the environment is good , do you have any suggestions that would be appreciated. I want en-suite room too ! You know , poor international student , hahahaha
I LOVE Plymouth. Wish I could live there. Hoping to go to uni there to do adult nursing. I won't be going for another two years yet buts it's on my list. How are you liking Plymouth. my favourite area is the barbican.
Nursing is quite a popular course at Plymouth uni. I really like the city as it's not too big or small. If you know where to look, going out can be really cheap, and there are some really nice parts like The Hoe and Mount Batten.
Angus Davidson I love the hoe and mount batten. we always go there when we visit. one of the reasons I want to study at Plymouth is because my mum and dad got married there and most of my family have lived there at some point.
Aww your room is amazing!! So creative! Thanks for sharing :D I just uploaded my first minimalism video and i'd love some feedback if you have time? :) Keep the brilliant videos coming! So glad i subbed - can't wait for more! :D xx
This is so helpful! Just got an unconditional for Plymouth and I'm now looking for the right halls :) thanks a lot! X
Eleanor Lilly Daniels Glad to hear this helped. Any halls you go in you're gonna enjoy yourself!

I haven't been there, but walked past it many times. It looks like nice accommodation from the outside.
What was discovery heights like? Got an unconditional so I'm looking to go at the end of this year and I don't know which halls to go for 😂
Georgina Gerry where have you ended up, I just got accepted through clearing but so unsure what’s the best option
@@KeiranPlays well I would be happy if you can tell me where you ended up. I am holding an offer and looking into accommodations. Any advice?

Katherine Zeng It sounds like your looking for a 'studio' apartment. Most halls offer studios so possibly go for one in St Thomas Court.
Angus Davidson ok , thx a lot !
