I gave Buyee a shot, but unfortunately one of the Tamas I purchased wasn’t as described - it doesn’t actually work. Buyee told me that no matter what plan I purchased, they won’t do anything about it because they don’t take action on non-working electronics. Seems like an important note for any collectors.
Oh so sorry that happened to you!! This had happened to me once - I bought a +Color that was battery corroded and with the Standard Insurance plan I bought with it, I was eventually refunded the item price, since the toy was described as perfect brand new condition on the listing. The refund did take a while though because I believe they have to go through an insurance claim process, but it went through eventually. They were strict about me keeping the original packaging and everything as evidence though I wonder if that was what impacted your refund!
@@TheForestMori It is both funny and sad that it was a +Color with battery corrosion making it inoperable that I had difficulties with. The corrosion inside is so bad that the battery wires are detached and I think I’ll have to replace the crystal resonator too. But here’s hoping I can learn to solder well enough to at least get gameplay out of it - I was so excited to try the +Color!

After watching this video I am fully tamagotchipilled and cannot stop thinking about this thing. I had a knockoff cat tama as a kid and have considered buying a proper one for years, but have been put off by certain features or lack of certain features - I think this one solves basically every problem. Also, the absurd form factor of this as a wristwatch is not at all off-putting to me but is in fact a selling point. I want the huge colourful egg watch 🤩

Not sure if anyone answered your question but they are doing short usb cables now because the longer ones are strangling hazards for little kids. Also less e-waste.
Saw this one in a local store which is huge because in all the years living here we never had the modern ones on shelves here! I also never had a modern tama and I'm excited to make this one my birthday gift to myself this month
I have the Uni, which I upgraded from the ON version. I like them both for different reasons, but my main gripe with the Uni is that the battery does not hold at all. I have to charge it every day, which is not at all convenient. Regardless, I do like it because of the sitter option. The new DLC for the uni came out (Sanrio, Monster, and Angel), and they're all pretty fun to use; however, you can only download one and use one DLC at a time. For example, I downloaded the sanrio one first, when I went to switch and use the angel DLC, it had to delete the sanrio items and furniture. The DLC is still downloaded and won't delete completely unless you reset the Uni. Each DLC download is good for 3 uses so be careful. Each DLC is 6-7 USD.
I hope bandai fully takes advantage of the wifi capabilities!! need some more games! a way to turn the tama off; maybe C button animations; they're so much they can do i really hope they do not abandon this model in 2 years! 😅 very informative video I was perfectly looking for something like Buyee for ordering the Bonus Japanese preorder Uni!
I totally agree the off button + C button animations are what’s missing!! Hopefully a system update via wifi can add both features onto the device in the future 🥹
i think it's really interesting that they wrapped it up as a christmas gift since it's nowhere near christmas... - i wonder if it's to avoid paying customs/taxes since gifts are treated as non-commercial.....
Hello! Very late to the party, but my country just now got a hold of A LOT of Tamagochi's Uni and Pix. I am thorn between them to play. I only have the gen 1 and really want to upgrade! I am very tempted to go with Uni because of the wifi features (skipped part of the vlog so I don't get much spoilers). I only have budget for one (they are the same price here). Which one would you recomment? Thank you for your time!
The fluffy wallpaper was on the tamagotchi pix available if you downloaded it from a QR code. For yours, it seemed a little more vibrant than the one on the tamagotchi pix
Charging overnight shouldn't affect the battery, the charging controller on the tamagotchi should stop charging automatically once the battery reaches 100%
I have a few G2s and really would love getting a Uni. I really wish Tamas could be connected via Bluetooth headphones for sound. My husband can be watching the TV and I could be playing with my Tama sitting next to him, not having to mute it. Also do you have to connect to the wifi?

Mine is supposed to get here tomorrow, to replace my Gen 2! I want to go in blind, so thanks for adding chapters - it makes it easier to avoid spoiling it for myself. I've only played the Connection V1 as a kid and didn't know the difference when I got my Gen 2, so I was a little disappointed by how simple it is. I can't wait to see what the latest Tama has to offer!
Gen 1&2s aren’t my fav either! I get very bored easily playing those. The Uni is definitely a massive upgrade - still so much new DLC being released monthly it is amazing!

My only question is do you think at this time it would still be worth it getting the tamagotchi pix? I didn't get it when it came out but now I want it for my birthday, and I love the camera and the button at the top but I also just wondering if this version has more features when it comes to the gameplay, like I don't really care for a wifi connection cause i kind of like it without it cause it feels like a digital detox, and of course there is no camera on this one, but I love the stuff like the animations are smooth there's like furniture and more accessories im just wondering if its worth it without the camera and stuff, like if its worth waiting until it releases in other countries if it will?

I bought a tamagotchi on a long time ago, but hated how slow it was to do anything on it, so went back to using my og Tama or my Digimon x. This one seems fast, is it snappy to use? From your video it looks really quick! I might get one.
I find that because there’s quite a lot you can do with the Uni, the gameplay does feel more fast paced! When it comes to marrying your adult characters off, you can do it at anytime you please and begin raising a new generation, which saves you a lot of time compared to the older models where you’d have to spend hours building bonds between characters / wait days for a matchmaker to come. I’m really enjoying the Uni and am still running mine!!
If your Tama has died, hold A and C button! Otherwise there’s a tiny reset button on the back of the Uni - press that with a toothpick and you’ll be taken to the game reset screen.

The last tamagotchi I bought were the Kingdom Hearts nanos. I was interested in the Tamagotchi Smart, but I'm glad I waited til Uni was released. I really want one now - it's adorable and looks very fun! Thanks for sharing!

If you walk it, will it register the walk if its on a lanyard and not the wrist band?
As long as it detects some kind of movement, it’ll start counting your ‘steps’
