Thank you for this video! I realized after watching it that I made the right decision in buying the tactix delta. That touch screen you had seemed quite annoying!
I just got my watch yesterday. So far I love it. Just wish it came with that other strap. Mine only came with the silicone one. But I love it. Thought it might be too big for my wrist but it was not. It fit perfect.
I was in naval aviation, green light is the primary color we would use at night for our equipment, it's better on the eyes than red is, they designed the watch for people in aviation specifically because alot of the people in naval aviation wear Garmin fenix line watches.
@fenner do you think this would be a better option than the Garmin D2 air X10 or delta mach1? I'm not in the military, but just a corporate pilot and I'm interested in the solar
Honestly we used it for survival purposes, ie; the aircraft crashed and we needed location data and advanced mapping in order to best leverage our situation, another major use is for PT, intense workouts that we do daily, I used it quite often on the fenix 7 on the flight line because of the flashlight, alot of flashlights are old and don't work too well and we can't bring phones out to the line because of FOD risk. I honestly think that it's a nice to have, not a need to have and that other Garmin aviation devices are just as suited as the tactix is. I chose the fenix 7xss because I just got out of the military and no longer really have the need for the tactix because the green LED and aviation features don't sell me on the extra price tag, obviously pilot skill is absolutely triumphant over any piece of equipment.
I’m hoping that one day there will be a Garmin watch with inreach abilities! I use my watch both for work in the military but also back country canoe and hiking trips, we carry a InReach device but it would be nice to be able to have the feature imbedded into the watch even if the normal texting is not including just the SOS 👍
The problem with the Epix display is that’s not visible at all times. You either have to press something or have it on “always on” mode which will drain the battery even faster. On the other hand, Fenix/Tactix display is Memory In Pixel type which is always on by default and is perfectly visible even in direct sunlight. And for low light situations you have the backlight, which again is not that eye soaring in complete darknes like Amoled. These are two very different display types serving different purposes and cannot be compared on such superficial level like “it’s more beautiful”. Yes, it is more beautiful but at the price.
Have you try it? The way you express yourself is exactly what I tought about it before I try it. It is so well done that I can say without a doupt that the amoled display looks better and is easier to read in ANY environement. Period. So not only it's more beautiful but it's also more conviniant. But still I have the tactix on my wrist as a everyday watch because of the flashlight.
Hello I have question regarding ABC widget. Are you able to set units (feet or meters) in Altimeter? In mine Garmin Tactix 7 Pro Im not able to set units in ABC widget, it is possible only in settings- system-format-units. Its not possible to set units directly in ABC widget if I change the units for example from meters to feet nothing will happen the units will be same as I set in system option. I remember in Tactix delta it was possible to set units directly via ABC widget
Do both the Tactix 7 pro and Tactix Delta have sapphire glass, I do not see the option to choose for those models? Are both cases and bezels titanium - And are both cases and bezels scratch resistant!? Is the Tactix 7 pro larger solar ring worth it to pay 400,- more and or what features or sensors can be considered better for the higher price point compared with the Tactix Delta?
You cannot have a tactix without sapphire. Both have the same titanium back and the fron DLC look similar to me. The extra price you pay on the new Tactix 7 over the Delta come with way more than just a solar ring. The watch is way faster, get a flash light and stronguer battery.
All Tactix 7 come with sapphire glass. The Tactix standard gives you Sapphire glass without the solar. Some prefer without solar for a slightly better screen calrity. The Tactix 7 Pro has Sapphire Solar and comes with an additional "tactical" nylon strap.
Are the bezels the same material on both? I have the Tactix Delta and the bezel chips extremely easy. DLC coating. Definitely not "diamond like coating". I bumped it a few times on a door frame and have a few noticeable chips on it.
It look the same to me. Maybe a small difference but I think it is caused by ageing. My delta was knock few time on some things but still look brand new.
I had the Tactix delta and just upgraded to the Tactix 7 pro. Holding both of them the Tactix 7 seemed much lighter. The delta felt more solid and possibly more of a metal feel compare to more of a plastic feel of the Tactix 7. . Did you notice that? Also the buttons seemed more clicky on the delta compared to the Tactix 7. Thanks for your advice!
I have Tactix Delta as well but I have tried the new version in the shop, and I felt the same, and it’s because the titanium case of the new model. However I think it would be a waste of money to buy the new model, it’s not give enought new feature for me.
@@gilberttiborjakub9890 yeah after I wrote my post I called Garmin and talked to them. It is lighter because of the titanium bezel and titanium rear cover. The delta is a steel bezel and rear case which why it’s heavier. Honestly, I have the delta for about 3 months and having the new Tactix 7 it is worth it. It’s a lot faster, a lot more info on the watch, flash light feature is cool and navigating through the maps is so much faster. Also I noticed during activity my HR records much faster then the delta and the O2 sensor during sleep records a lot more.

They really are the same... Except if you for with fenix 7X I would at least add the sapphire option. If you are not on a budget, simply go with the one that please you the most. Good day, Your opinion is very important which will be the best choice for the soldier. Is tactix delta or tactix 7 better. How do you find the price difference? Thank you from now.🙏🙋♂️
Ahah!! Thank you for your comment. Definitively the Tactix is the first choice for military. Now if you had the Delta, I would say keep it that way, this watch is fantastic. However, now that you are looking for a new one, I would go for sure for the 7. You will get the flashlight, more battery, faster processing, touch screen witch is awesome on map. I currently have tactix delta and I'm using it. Is it worth switching to tactix 7 due to the price difference or is tactix delta enough. Also, do you think the delta is more robust because the case is made of delta steel and tactix 7 titanium.🙏🙋♂️
Trying to buy 2 watches. Have 2 ideas. First is enduro 2 + marq aviator 2 gen Second is tactix 7 pro balistics + marq athlete 2 gen What do you think which duet is better?
I don't get why you want 2 of these watch. They all do the same thing. But if you really want to go for one for look and one for adventure I would get the enduro 2 for it's battery lifespan and stronger flashlight and the marq of your choice for the look. You can get the enduro here : geni.us/Enduro2Garmin 😉
The buttons on the Tactix 7 are much better than the Delta. The screen/lens is superior. While many will say you don't need it, however getting a screen saver is recommended.
Great video. I was on the edge to upgrade my Fenix 5X plus for Fenix 7x or even a Epix 2 for his amazing AMOLED screen but the limited battery life and the lack of flashlight makes me think twice. But with a tactix 7, I got a Fenix 7x with aviation capabilities like METAR (airport weather forecast) and TAF (predictions for weather forecast), moving map with radio navaids and airports, everything I need as a student pilot. Great back up if the flying instruments shut down. peace of mind. I learned from my military background that « 2 is 1 and 1 is nothing ». Thanks for sharing great content

Well it depend of what you are looking for. MARQ series are Fenix in fashion cases. But the actual MARQ series is to be updated as they are from 6 series.
From my point of view - no, the Tactix7 Pro is even better, (multi-frequency positioning & endurance for +1 month) ... but i you want fancy cases and colors ... any of the marq is nice looking
To be clear, there is a significant difference in battery lifespan between the fenix and tactix (22 vs 37 days solar in smart watch mode respectively) so, when you say they have the same battery, that’s wrong. That battery alone seems justifiable alone in the price increase.. ignoring the mil features.
i bought the Fenix 7 Sapphire, and returned it to get the non-Sapphire version, as the Sapp was too reflective for my taste and comapred to my old 6X PRO. Very happy with the Solar non Sapphire 7X now. Will the Tactix 7X Solar be the same as the one I returned, I wonder?
Sorry but the Fenix and the Tactics is not the same watch. If you are unable to use or just do not want the extra Features it is okay...but NOT the same watch.
The Tactix is a Fenix with few military feature. It have the same menu, the same water resistance, the same screen, the same battery... The tactix is just a fenix in a way better looking case with few extra feature that's it. Sure it might do a huge difference for military personal in mission, but still, it's around 99% the same thing.

It's about the Fenix 7 that is almost the same thing. You will see a lot of comparasion with the tactix delta.
@@PascalMarquisUnbox Thank you, Pascal.
Can I ask you please in amazon its nit found tactix 7 pro just in ebay and am not trust this website can tell me please where u buying garmin tactix 7 pro top one
Sure. You can get it right here : geni.us/GarminTactix7
Tactix Delta or Fenix7X? In my country both cost the same, which should I choose?
I would go with the 7X in a heart beat even if I think the Tactix Delta look the best.
But you got better battery, software and a flashlight with the Fenix 7X...
Hum. Just get sure you got the Fenix 7X with sapphire.
geni.us/GarminFenix7X
Hi Pascal. Great video. I have a question. The Delta Bravo. Which model in the Fenix line does it reassemble?
Hi peter. The Tactix Delta is in line with Fenix 6.
Charlie - 5
Bravro - 4
@@PascalMarquisUnbox But they did not release a Fenix 4. I can only find Chronos?
I would a tactix with the amoled! It’s so hard for garmin?????
Tactix is a model made for militarry. Amoled screen would be a bad idea for that kind of watch as it make you more vissible in the dark.
@@PascalMarquisUnbox I agree but for military ther’s also brands like luminox and other more officials than Garmin, it’s not Garmin the official Watch for military dept I think, it’s for people who want to appear military (and I agree 💪🏼) but it’s necessary for me a vision more usable. Your video are amazing! Greetings from Milan (Italy)
Hello Brother! Which one should i buy fenxi 7x or tactic 7 pro? Can you help me decide? I am not soldier. Thanks
They really are the same... Except if you for with fenix 7X I would at least add the sapphire option. If you are not on a budget, simply go with the one that please you the most.
Note however that the tactix buttons are better to me and I love the nylon band that come with it.
Get the tactix here : geni.us/GarminTactix7
However if you want to save a bit of money and still have the very same amazing experience, go with the fenix. And you can still buy an other band if you want to replace it. I will have a video about in in the next few months.
Get your fenix here : geni.us/GarminFenix7X
@@PascalMarquisUnbox Thanks
Can you put the Tactix style band on the Fenix? I like the styling of the Tactix but need the red light of the Fenix.
Yes of course. As long you get the Fenix X you can get it's band seperatly and easely change it.
Get it here : geni.us/GarminTactixNylonBand
Great video. Thanks. Flashlight looks a little weak. Do you know the lumen output?
Well it's not a super strong flash light for sure. It is comparable to what you may find on a phone... Maybe a bit less. But it is for sure the flash light I use the most just because it's always on me. I use it many time every day and I would not want a watch without it anymore.
Its a watch....not a FLASHLIGHT it's designed for in a pinch use.....wtf
@@XeroFailGames well said! used mine last night and worked in a pinch perfectly
Tactix 7pro or D2 mach 1 pro? Great review!❤
Yea, both tactix are insane watch, but the new 7 is better. You can get it here : geni.us/GarminTactix7

Enjoy! :)
First is enduro 2 + marq aviator 2 gen
Second is tactix 7 pro balistics + marq athlete 2 gen
What do you think which duet is better?
I don't get why you want 2 of these watch. They all do the same thing.
But if you really want to go for one for look and one for adventure I would get the enduro 2 for it's battery lifespan and stronger flashlight and the marq of your choice for the look.
You can get the enduro here : geni.us/Enduro2Garmin 😉
@@PascalMarquisUnbox Thanks! this is exact my point, you are right, one for trainings, and another one for look.
@@PascalMarquisUnbox what would choose?
Tactix 7 pro
Or
Marq Gen 2 Athlete?
i hope you can give your tactix delta to me as a gift hahaha!!! 😂😂😂 nice video brother
I don't have it anymore but thank you. ;)
The buttons on the Tactix 7 are much better than the Delta. The screen/lens is superior. While many will say you don't need it, however getting a screen saver is recommended.
Why is screen superior? I thought that by adding additional touch layer it makes display contrast worse?
Has anybody tried the AB mobile app on an android smart watch?
I can get a tactix delta for 450 or a 7x solar for 500. I can’t decide, thoughts? Love your channel!
Fenix by far. Just for the flashlight it worth it. The watch it also faster.
The tactix only get the a better look.
Hi antoine. Seams like the Tactix is a great choice for you then. That is the one that finally ended up to be always on my wrist. I love it.
Get it here : geni.us/GarminTactix7 😉

@@PascalMarquisUnbox why are you always wearing your Tactix7 as your everyday watch, having the Epix 2 with its amazing AMOLED screen.I still think the Epix 2 looks like a bit too toy. I’m running super early in the morning, the Tactix 7 with the flashlight is a great option.
The 3 main reasons why I stick to the tactix is the Size, the Flashlight and the battery life. 😉
What does the fish mode/face look like or show??
I never saw a fish mode. I really don't know what this is.
@@PascalMarquisUnbox it was between bouldering and hunt. It said fish….
Ahah!! I find it. Well it seam to have a timer, a graph with sun time of the day and a fish counter.
@@PascalMarquisUnbox awesome ! Thanks for this
Does compass freeze on your 7X or Tactix 7?
Nope. I had some rebooting issue in the first weeks but everything as been solved with updates.
black watches and black background do not go well together 😂. Nice vid. Maybe a video about the size of these tactix vs normal 47mm models would be nice to see from a person like you.
Thanks. Well they are pretty much the same with a smaller screen and a smaller battery. 😉 But you will surely enjoy this new purchase guide I put online las week : ua-cam.com/video/-3uI_AB7lDE/v-deo.html
Which one do you think I should buy Fenix 7x or epix?
Well actually, I would take a look at the Enduro 2. See that video : ua-cam.com/video/dvmb4rp9uBg/v-deo.html
Also take a look at my complete review : ua-cam.com/video/1FpYb5mfAEI/v-deo.html
Is it better than the marq commander??
Well it depend of what you are looking for. MARQ series are Fenix in fashion cases. But the actual MARQ series is to be updated as they are from 6 series.
From my point of view - no, the Tactix7 Pro is even better, (multi-frequency positioning & endurance for +1 month) ... but i you want fancy cases and colors ... any of the marq is nice looking
Do any of the reviewed Garmin watches display the wearer's latitude and longitude? If they don't, they should.
They display actual location weather based on your phone location. You can see the city in the widget.
To be clear, there is a significant difference in battery lifespan between the fenix and tactix (22 vs 37 days solar in smart watch mode respectively) so, when you say they have the same battery, that’s wrong. That battery alone seems justifiable alone in the price increase.. ignoring the mil features.
You proably compare tactix with a simple fenix.
You must compare tactix with Fenix X.
Then it's the same.
I don’t agree I have used delta solar and now am using tacix 7 I can tell significant improvements and new features
Yes... The tactix 7 is an improvement... I don't know what I said that can make you think otherwise.
i bought the Fenix 7 Sapphire, and returned it to get the non-Sapphire version, as the Sapp was too reflective for my taste and comapred to my old 6X PRO. Very happy with the Solar non Sapphire 7X now. Will the Tactix 7X Solar be the same as the one I returned, I wonder?
Hi Dan. Yes it will be the same. The sapphire glass is more reflective than your gorilla glass. Howerver, you will probably never scratch it. 😉
@@PascalMarquisUnbox Thanks! Will keep that in mind!
Очень хороший обзор! Спасибо за информацию!
Any chance you would sell your older Tactix?
Hey man don’t know if you’ll see this but I’m selling my old Tactix delta as I’m looking to upgrade
Top das galáxias
At 9 minutes Fenix watch indicates your table has a heart rate which it keeps tracking...
Yea I don't know why they almost all do it on that mat.
Awesome
So I can get the Fenix with the 51 mm and have the nicer bands with the cheaper model…😎
Yes you can change the band, but I still recommand at least the sapphire model.

hello pascal, good work, sorry i keep bothering you.
I will order, I can't decide. Can you please help? I'm stuck between garmin tactix 7 pro and garmin tactix 7 pro series is solar, the screen glass is brighter, the interior is smaller than garmin tactix 7, how is the screen readability compared to the flat tactix 7, is the world's first amoled screen epix 2 series reliable? Makes me think it could be screen burns after 1 year. Samsung amoled screens have screen burns after 1.5-2 years, thanks in advance
Do you think tactix 7 or tactix 7 pro?
For example, in this video, the internal screen of the garmin tactix 7 seems larger than the pro series, or it seems to me that it is more prominent.

?
garmin tactix 7 pro vs garmin tactix 7 ?
Hi Yusuf. About the Tactix, I would definitively go with the pro and they are the same but the pro come with solar and the nylon band. The screen is the very same.
About the epix, the screen is just so beautifull. I can't say about overtime marking but yet it's the most beautifull watch screen I ever saw. But still, it's the tactix that I keep on my wrist because of it's size and the flashlight.

What’s this watch face?
I never had download a watch face. So all you see is always built in.
I know this is old but it's 4:20 goddamnit
man, epix 2 series include sapphire,u can not choose)
I have double check and yes there is a Gorilla Glass model of the Epix 2.
@@PascalMarquisUnbox yep. the basic one - silver ;)
If you do not have a scratch on your Garmin tactical watch, you are not using the watch right.
😂
lol he just made up an extra item to show the 7 has more on the face than the Delta 🤣😅 no it has 7 and the delta has 6.
IMO, I think thr Delta is the pinacle of durability and features. The new Fenix 7 have too many advanced stuff and physical features that are to me just more ways to break
There is not much more new feature... Appart the flashlight... That is amazing. Rest is just a little redesign with a much quicker watch. I don't think it give more chances to break.
@@PascalMarquisUnbox flashlight, touch screen, bezel difference, all things that really bum me up a bit, on extended field periods (14-24 days)
