In times of hardship, I simply ask myself, “Is this thought that I am having… of light or of darkness? Of Jesus or of Satan? If it is Satan whispering to me, I dismiss it out of hand, sometimes telling him to get behind me angrily, when he is relentless. He has no right. Now the thoughts of Jesus? I express gratitude and continued guidance. “Thank you, I’ll talk more!” I say to the good stuff.

There is no such thing as Satan, the devil, or hell. Take those concepts out of your thinking and the rest of your thoughts make sense.

Another good question to ask is "What would love do now?" or "How does perfect unconditional love see this person and what does it feel for this person?" If someone is behaving negatively or harmfullly it will have compassion and caring and goodwill and it will help if this is possible. The consciousness of love and peace.
