If you have Ford Focus your radio does not work or the radio does not turn on we will explain what often causes that on Ford Focus MK3 Third Generation. When the radio does not work or does not turn on always check the radio fuse first. Some Ford Focus models have multiple radio fuses. In this video we will demonstrate what to check if the radio is not working on a 2013 Ford Focus but the procedure should apply to the whole first generation Ford Focus.

You need to do a video on how to replace the whole radio, a lot people have the date and time display but nothing else works. A lot of people coming here for this exact issue and not getting any proper input for the real fix.
When this is your problem the only way to fix this is to replace the whole radio. If the date and time works, the issue is not the fuses, there is power so the fuses are fine.

🚨🚨🚨NO REPLACEMENT FIX: For my 2014 fiesta turbo, just had to remove and plug back in the #10 & #33 fuses behind the Glove Box. Alternatively, you could likely just disconnect your negative battery cable for 30 minutes to re-set your system.

I SEEMED TO HAVE FIXED POPPING FORD FOCUS RADIO PEOPLE HAVE. Clip off Amp chips retaining clips, they expand over time and prevent the chips from mating the surface properly. Just make sure the upper clips are remove, confirmed pops when antennae and front cover not plugged. I BET THIS FIX WILL WORK IF THE AMP CHIPS ARE NOT ALREADY DAMAGED. I was the side chip for me, loosen screws on side of housing that hold chips tight so you don't wipe off new cpu thermal paste when you put the circuit board back in. Sand and clean chips good on the one side.

so could the radio itself be ok but the front buttons be the issue? all my fuses are good radio buttons stopped working then but could control from steering wheel then the next day whole thing stopped. have tried a new radio and that also will not power up. cheers
On my ford focus titanium 2013 I used to have problem with Bluetooth connection so i removed fuse 7.5 and then i replaced back in, after i did that screen radio blacked out and stopped working. Somebody pls can tell me what happened?

I replaced my radio with one from a junk yard and Microsoft sync no longer speaks to me, but it can hear me. I can tell it commands and it works but I hear nothing back so if it doesn’t understand the command I can be sitting there wondering why it’s not working or while it’s “speaking” I try to speak. Very annoying. Wondering if you had any tips for this. Thanks
Tap the voice command button twice and itll skip straight to where its listening to your command. Then you wont have to guess when its done talking

Mine one is 2012se with same system you showing in video but it has no line in and aux port. It has only 12 volt port. What could I do to convert it into Bluetooth system?

In your case you will have to use a FM radio Bluetooth receiver.
What fuses were the problem
I replaced the fuse and still doesn’t work. The display screen shows the date, time and temperature but that’s it and radio doesn’t work
same with my focus 2013 it’s very annoying

If your fuse popped you wouldn't have anything showing on the display. No need to even look at fuse.

Hey mate! The issue im having is i cant play music using Bluetooth. My phone connects and I can make calls using the Bluetooth but music will not play at all. The radio works fine but thats it. Hope you can help!
Once your phone is paired by Bluetooth, You have just to change the media sync source on the menu.

Disconnect the battery first, it may be some glitch when you calling with bluetooth and starting the engine.
Use the voice comand "Bluetooth audio"

I am on disability so limited income. 2 weeks ago, I had keys in hand, opened car door and radio came on. Weird. Today radio not working. The little screen where temp time date etc is. Is also not working...the date, time, and temp shows up but rest of screen not working...could someone tell me things to look for so I can maybe fix myself and save some $. Thank you all in advance.

My radio has popping and crackling come from it. Would a bad fuse cause this?
Ours did the same! Sometimes the pops and crackling sounds would hurt your ears bc it was so loud! We haven't fixed ours yet but will definitely start with the fuses.

I hope someone can tell us what to do! The noise is so loud I’m driving down the road and nearly gives me a heart attack, I am getting so much different information and being told to fight with Ford on it but I’m afraid of the dealership, it should be a recall my mechanic says, he’s afraid to mess with the audio control module, and says if he takes out the radio fuse I will have no radio and that it will affect the trunk.
This is crazy, should I just get someone to install a new radio? Or take it to the dealership and let them screw me.

@shell daniel I haven't gotten mine fixed yet. I just have my radio turned off. I went and bought a bluetooth speaker that I hook my ipod or phone to when I want to listen to music. From what I have read the only way people got this to stop was to get an aftermarket radio put in. I decided to not mess with the fuse bc according to fords manual, that fuse is for the radio/auto locks and hazards lights if I remember correctly. I wouldn't go to the dealership bc I think they will charge a lot. Ive read a person just disconnected the radio and that worked. I'm going to eventually go to best buy and get a new radio installed. For now the bluetooth speaker is doing its purpose.

I did bring my Bluetooth speaker in one day when the radio wasn’t working.
Now even with the radio off I walk up to my car and it sounds like fireworks going off inside.
Yes it’s confusing about the fuses etc. and having to have the radio removed completely to stop the noises.
The radio isn’t even on and the car is possessed with deafening scary sound coming from the speakers.
I wish I knew what to do at this point I can’t drive since it’s happening all the time and less randomly than before.

This blogger is a con. U changed the fuse but did not say what fuse number it is...
Lousy video... fuses are in place for short circuits and overloads there purpose since you don’t know is to protect from a fire. Maybe tell the people that it could very well be a device issue and suggest replacing the radio. That is more common than a fuse.
