    Which Jack boot fits your style of skating best the Jack 1 or the Jack 2? Or do you prefer a different Moxi skate?

    I’m not even gonna lie. I was so aggravated when after waiting forever to order a Jack setup, the day after I received the shipping notification I received the announcement email for the Jack 2. However, after trying out my new GORGEOUS Jack Estro package skates, I feel that the Jack 2 boots would have been too much stiffness for my needs. The OG Jacks feel so comfortable and supportive for the type of skating that I do. I’m glad now that I have the OG Jacks! I got the black boots with a yellow toe stop and the 4 color 57mm bowl bombers. The look is so 1980s colorful that I ended up using my neon green Derby Core laces to keep the look bright instead of the black laces that came with the setup. I may not have awesome skating skills, but I’ll damn sure look awesome while I’m working on getting those awesome skate skills! ✌🏼💜🛼

    I really want a jack boot but I’ve only been skating for three months so I’m not really sure what I want or need. I really am thinking the Jack 2 but I really just like the way it looks 😭 I don’t know what to do!

    How would you compare the stiffness to the suede Riedell 336?

    What is the support rating number for the boot? I am trying to see if the boot support is strong, like an artistic boot, that can handle artistic skate moves such as Salchows, Toe Loops and Axels. Right now I have Edea boots that are a 35 support rated, are these similar? Are they stiff like hockey skates? I really love Moxi skates but need that stiffness for artistic skating. Can you please let us know? Thank you and lots of love!

      Just from the looks I don’t think the jack 2 is stiffer than a 25 support rating I would similar to the esordios for artistic I would definitely stick to edea/risport

      There’s almost no way that Moxi will ever release a boot suitable for artistic skating.

    I have OG Lolly’s and am definitely in need for an upgrade. And while I do skate ramps and bowls I’ve been taking some figure skating classes at the rink as well. Which boot would you say is more like a classic figure skating boot? I’ve been eyeing the Jack 1 for years now but I also want a boot I can take from street to ramp to rink. I am an intermediate skater. I have years of experience on wheels and I do grind smaller rails, street skate, and drop in smaller bowls and ramps, but I’m not doing high impact moves like flips or jumping a large number of stairs.

      Following, because I've also been taking figure skating classes at the rink, I have OG Lolly's, too (love them!!) and would like an answer to this question.

      I think something like the Jack 2 or suede Riedell 336 would be good for those purposes since you want a stiff boot for figure but also rugged enough for outdoors

      @@ohkaygoplay I haven't skated on either but have spent hours trying both on (about to order some). I come from an artistic background and have skated on Edea and Harlick for artistic, and the Jack 2 is definitely the closest to the stiffness that artistic/figure skaters use.

    This might be a stupid question, but do you think one or the other may be better on your knees?

    Are the Jack 2 boots mainly for ramp skating or can they also be recommended for ham skating?

      VNLA a la mode skates are really really wide, and have a similar look to the moxis, if you're still looking for skates!

    How does the jack 2 compare to the moxi ice boot? Do you recommend heat moulding the jack 2 in a skate oven at a pro shop? Or is it like a “nice to have” situation?

    • @gloubeauty
      @gloubeauty 2 роки тому +4

      I emailed moxi, who reached out to riedell and this was their answer for those interested:
      Thank you for your patience, we have got some more information about the stiffness in these two boots. While they are both stiff, and supportive; the placement of the support is totally different. The Ice boot is double reinforced through the entirety of the boot where the Jack 2 is double reinforced in specific areas- like laterally up the sides of the ankle.
      The Jack 2 is missing double reinforcement in all the right places to allow you to hit different grinds and have some freedom of motion that you would not get in an Ice boot.
      They can't really compare, as they are made for different experiences. I hope this helps!! :)

    Do the Beach Bunnies compare in stiffness, and if so, can you make a video on it? And maybe they don't, just curious...
    And also, Estro, can you please do a video on your specific Jack 2? Maybe how it felt once it was broken in and skated in for a few years?

    • @MsEyelinered
      @MsEyelinered 2 роки тому +2

      No. Not at all. This is a $700 skate. The beach bunnies are a $150 skate. These have way more support.

    I have narrow feet and most skates are too wide. Would the jack 1 or jack 2 create a tighter fit for a narrow foot?
