  • To install this Intex ultraframe 732x366x132 pool I took advantage of the unevenness of the ground.
    I tried to make the support surface at a height as precise as possible to have the perfect meeting between the pool and the sidewalk.
    Under the pool I put 3 cm high polystyrene panels.
    The wood used is in an autoclave and in the wettest areas it has been protected with a special paint.
    It took me about 2 months to complete the project. The cost was around € 5,000.

    This is one of the best above ground pool decks I've seen. I love how seamlessly the deck blends in with the pool, can't really see the plastic framing. And takes advantage of the slope to make the front side level with the house. Well done

    So how do you deal with the changing the liner? I love the look the execution everything is great .

    • @pooldiy6674
      @pooldiy6674  2 роки тому +2

      Hello! thank you! to change the liner you start by emptying the pool and then you go down inside and change it. If you do not manage to position the new liner perfectly identical to the old one, it is not a problem because the edge of the intex pool, through a system of crick belts, can be aligned with the structure.

  • @GershyRapp
    @GershyRapp 2 роки тому +9

    Would love to know what you do during winter? I've seen some reviews of people having intex pools last for as much as 15 years! Do you expect that?

      Also, What's ur filter set up? How do you access it? Just regular sand filter, or you doing salt?

    • @driven2a
      @driven2a Рік тому +1

      @@GershyRapp stay away from salt IMO, its a pain in the ass and you end up accelerating corrosion on all of your steel poles. The liners are thick, the poles are powder coated, however not on the inside and you will get corrosion on the corners and bits that pool salt water can get to

    Hi.
    Can you please tell me what are those boards you are placing on the ground under the pool at 1:07?
    I was thinking of putting concrete under it, but if that does the job it would save me lots of money.

    • @LKYme
      @LKYme Рік тому

      I'm no expert (no experience whatsoever), but have watched dozens of these videos recently. I wouldn't recommend concrete for this situation because of the potential for flooding, water being trapped in the space around pool and rusting out the pool's metal support beams. However, you could possibly use a pump to remove water build up.
      Keep watching other videos with detailed guidance! There's plenty of informative videos out there! 😉

      "We put in a pool just like this about 7 years ago.All worked well until a few days ago when the legs collapsed from internal corrosion. We used a saltwater system and the water had leached into the legs. Unfortunately, INTEX doesn't have any parts to repair it with now. We did get a lot of use from the pool. It was only partially sunk into the ground with a large deck built around." ----Concrete underneath would make this scenario even more likely.

      Hello,
      responding to your concerns:
      the cost is at least 1/5 of an inground pool. I spent a total of € 5k, with the same money you only buy the kit for an inground pool and concrete, iron, excavations and surveyor are not included.
      I would like to point out that in the second year the pool is still in perfect condition, in winter it is not disassembled but is closed and treated properly, this greatly reduces the wear of the liner. In any case, it is perfectly removable and replaceable. If you think you can do better with 5k € I'm waiting for your video.

    • @jimeagle1155
      @jimeagle1155 2 роки тому

      @@pooldiy6674 don't take offense. My point was that you put a ton of money and effort into the project and it looks great. My concern is if there is an easy way to replace the pool while leaving the rest intact because a steel frame pool will only last 2 or 3 years..4 at most...and if it's replaceable then awesome. I personally wouldn't put 5k of any money into a project like that unless I could easily replace the pool every few years.
