- Stock EXIT Strategy should be based on sound logic and reasoning. Most of the retail investors select RIGHT Stock but EXIT too early either by booking small profit/loss or at no profit no loss. After some time the investors realize that they made a very big mistake and the share delivered spectacular returns.
Stock selection is very important but it is more crucial to hold on to the trade. In this two-part video series, I will discuss the 10 reasons for an early exit from the right trade i.e. wherein the stock selection is perfect.
1. Traditional Indian investment philosophy is based on the safety of capital. Therefore, we are always afraid of loss. However, experts are of the opinion that we should only invest that much that we afford to lose in the share market.
2. You should always check the expected volatility in the stock and should not be worried if the stock is trading in that volatility range.
3. The blind bet in stock market can give us sleepless nights as we are not confident in our trade. Only take trades with a very high probability of success or profit.
4. Constant monitoring is also responsible for the early exit from the stock. Therefore, we may choose non-volatile stocks. However, in volatile market, constant monitoring is required.
5. Confidence in a particular trade is directly proportional to our accuracy or success in the stock market.

I agree completely, retail trader psychology plays a very important role. I had shorted bharti airtel future at 340 but exited taking loss. If I would stayed on it would have given be a good profit. Retail traders is always lose due to fear..

no need to calculate anything. once u get 4-5% in short term say one week., take your profit and enter again if u think there is momentum.
In the present situation, for a few months now many analysts were advocating vigoruously caution and wait for 6000-7000 fall but have reversed their stance and advocating positions and swing trading etc as fall is unpredictable or they are tired of wait. However, I personally want to see the awaited great fall as economists gloabaly predict. My question is on your caution not to remain too greedy. And when I reflect that to await for great fall is also a kind of trap of highest greed. I would like to know what you think about it.

Sir,delivery stock me stoploss kaise lagaen.
Same thing happen recently to me.(may 2020).
1)Balkrishnaind Goes my direction came down exited with loss.. now my 2 target achieved.
2) Bharthforge also I bought, very next day,my analysis say I'm in wrong side exited, now 12% up. Goes as per 1st analysis.
3) the stock was on my radar, but not in my level, but traded on others oppion & level, initially goes against to me, it was not my analysis hence exited trade, with in 3 days hit target, came to my level but I'm fear to buy,since because of previous loss.(Havells)
My problem is accuracy is 80-90% but profitable 20-40% bcz I can't hold it... Sell k baad dekhne PR 4-5 day ya 1-2 week baad pta chlta h ki trade sahi tha but exit galat tha..
Non in the world, who know about peak price of a particulars stock within particular time....Only Its is just like expectation which will affected from internal as well as external factor.....
