- NIFTY Weekly Expiry Strategy is based on the fact to take advantage of the fast time decay. Normally, the traders consider the weekly options as loss-making propositions for the retail investors. Initially, the derivatives segment i.e. futures and options were launched as hedging tools but they are now used as trading instruments. The USP of NIFTY Weekly Expiry is cheap premium and quick results i.e. it provides more no of trading opportunities compared to monthly NIFTY Weekly.
However, the odds are against if you buy or long the put/call options. In the NIFTY Weekly Expiry Strategy, the odds favor the options writers if you short the put/call options.
In the case of option writing, the time decay is your biggest strength. The best part is that time decay is factored in option premium even on holidays. Therefore, there are two NIFTY Weekly Expiry Strategies that can be followed
1. You can write out of the money option outside the expected movement or volatility range of nifty during the trading week.
2. A trader can take advantage of long term support and resistance. You can short the call option just above the resistance thus you will short near at the money contract and can make more profit. Similarly, put writing can be done below support thus will get max profit through premium.
Also, confirm your trade on reliable trading systems like Fibonacci and candlestick. The nifty in a strong trend can provide risk-free NIFTY Weekly Expiry Strategy.

He did not speak about the cons of writing naked option writing. Call writing is so powerful that if your analysis goes wrong and you have a huge gap up/down on Monday due to market event your entire capital can blow away at the 9:15 tick and you have no opportunity to put stop loss. People with large capital and experience can fight through it by adjusting their position. ATM option should be completely avoided if you are a newbie to option writing.

option writing is not a game for beginners, you can lose entire money if you are not aware of the market's movement. and as Mr. Saorabh rai said, huge amount required to sell an option contract.

To sell options, need 1-2 lakh capital. Can we use mis to sell nifty? In this case it would be for same day only.

If I buy option call at smaller premium and later sell it at higher premium gaining profit , would I be consider as option seller? Is there any obligation to deliver stock if buyer exercise his right ? Or I have nothing to do with strike price once I closed my position ?

sir, Please make a video on quaterly results that are comming for different companies. For example TCS.will this dividend in the form of bonus shares? What will happen to the market price of each share? Why there is fall in TCS share price on 11th Jan etc. these type of questions? If i know in advanse that a company is going to declare huge profits then shall I buy its shares before the declaration of results or after?

Sir what to so when one buys or sells a stock in intraday and the trade has wide SL and TGT and the stock gives another better buying/selling opportunity without hitting the SL. Should one add on to his position and adjust the R:R in favour or hold on to the existing position?

What do you think will be the margin required for writing one lot of NIFTY CE in weekly?
If you go too much OTM, you will hardly get 100 rupees per lot or even less than that.
NIFTY weekly options will be priced at less than 10 rupees, 200 points OTM when IV is around 17. I doubt option writers will earn much with 1 or 2 lots. I mean, talking about retail traders who will have less capital to take a CE sell overnight!!
