Thanks for showing off the Pigment Sticks. Nice Work!
I actually really liked it at the point you hated it! The big gray square with a few small marks juxtaposed over the bright border with big marks had looked pretty cool to me.
Hi Pam…loving your art 👍❤️… I have a question: I‘m panting with acrylics and want to make marks with oilsticks. I bought a schminckemedium to lay it on the marks…but I don‘t like it. The next product I will use is galcyd lite from gamblin…drying in twelve hours. Can I lay an acrylicbased coat over the marks? Sorry…my english is not the best…left school in 82 😅… whish you all the best…greatings from germany Petra (Petruschka)
Thank you for your videos, but the sound is SO hard to hear. Sounds like a fountain running in the background.
Yes- this was a very early video before I knew I needed a microphone. As the studio is always cold, there was also a heater running ;)
Pamela, I am new to your channel and loving it! one question I have is I noticed your studio doesn’t have a lot of natural light (nor does mine) so I’m wondering what supplemental light you have or recommend?
Hi Lainy! Yes my studio is below ground level-all daylight corrected fluorescent bulbs!
Can I also us canvas? How would I seal this afterwards? Beautiful piece by the way!
complimenti, brava!!
Hi Francesca - thank you very much! Best, Pam
Hi Pamela, I have a little question.... in one of your videos you transfer acrylic coloured paper with gel medium. I love doing this but find That the paint crumbels at one point..... how can you avoid this?????
Great video but it's really hard to hear you
Where I can buy the pigments sticks? thank you?
is it just me in France or is everyone having trouble with the sound ?
Sorry for the poor sound quality - I was just learning how to record videos so this is an older video :)
very beautiful. would buy some oil sticks... if i coulld afford it
Just found you and subscribed. Love the idea of taking risks and not being too precious. When writing fiction, we’re advised to “Kill your darlings”. Same concept! I’m off to find the next video. 😊
LV your openness and candor. I have painted over a good number of paintings and enjoy the evolution of the journey. It isn’t always clear when to stop and step away from the painting. Tk you
Wow. I wanted info on pigment sticks and was thinking of getting R and F. You have decided me! What size were those sticks, please? I believe they come in different sizes. Really enjoy your vids and always admire your bravery. Best R
Ohhhhhh!!!! Eu amei suas cores!!! Muito alegre e única suas inspirações e toda sua ousadia de movimentos e harmonia!! Amei!!!😍🤗👏👏👏
Nancy Kane Chapman.....so exciting!! Beautiful work, Pamela!! Thanks so much!
Pamela, do you sand down the board once it's dry to get rid of the ridges/high points between layers after gouging in lines? Thanks!
Look s like some great work Pam but you lost me with the poor audio.
Hi Pamela! I wondered if you have a video (or series) on your handmade supplies?
I would be very interested in the process of making your pigment sticks and any other supplies you might have created by harvesting what you already have in your studio.
Sincerely, a small scale mixed media artist😉❤
I wish I had more handmade items-I only make handmade brushes 😊
Love your videos, but the audio on this one is not good and hard to understand.
You need better sound. I could not hear you.
I agree - one of my earliest videos; no microphone.
Wonderful work. Please edit audio, especially using TV. - volume is on high, yet can’t understand the topic.
More power to you and your work.
not audible. So frustrating.
Pamela.. if we have old ruff enamel coated canvas and we want to paint over it just like you, in cold wax /oil..
-- tell me is it possible ?
-- glazing more ? due to enamel coated.
Most difficult to hear you. The sound echoes.
so daring... this video is fabulous for teaching (i teach young children) for showing the transformation process. you make it look easy. love this new direction in your palette! yummy rf sticks... $$ cha ching!!!
Hi Susan! How wonderful that you teach young children - my favorite artists of all :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the video and yes I agree, the RF pigment sticks are very yummy - I love their gestural quality and that's what attracts me the most ;) Thank you for your comment!
Thank you for sharing valuable tips and your wisdom.
AWESOME!! Thank you so much for sharing. What is the "glaze" recipe you use?
Hi Shilo - my glaze is really just a little more cold wax medium plus the oil paint - so the oil paint is pretty diluted :) Thanks for your question!
You really know your stuff and are a delight to listen to but the sound is so bad....
Love , love your work ....... do you exhibit any where or sell ..😊
Like the teaching. The sound needs help. Difficult to hear and understand without straining.
fabulous Susan your paintings are inspiring and magical. however the sound is not so good, can barely hear you. never mind, great work.
Hi Laurel! I really appreciate your feedback. This was a tough one as I had my vents on and didn't know it until I heard the audio. Yikes! I am working on getting a microphone and will hopefully remember to turn the vents off! Thank you again! Best, Pam :)
Also, one thing I did in order to hear this video better was listen through an external speaker. I know not everyone has one, but if you do, it made a huge difference since I could increase the volume :)
so sorry I meant Pamela. silly me.😐
Querida, o que são essas "bastões" coloridos que vc utilizou em seus trabalhos?? Amei seus trabalhos!!!!!! 🤗👏👏❤❤❤❤ Obrigada!!! Cono é evidenciada à Arte em seu país???? Obrigada!

What is pigment sticks?
often your sound is tooooolow. Sounds like your mike is across the room
Yes- this was not a good video because I didn't have a microphone. So sorry!
Amazing artwork
It looks like an interesting video, but the sound is horrible. I will try again when I have fresh ears.
Bravo
C- for effort
Hi Pamela, you did an amazing job. I too was having a bit of trouble with the audio, but I am very interested in what you called pigment sticks.
Were you saying that you make them?
Could you tell me how you make them? Or are they oil pastels?
I was wondering what the heck you could do with that piece and you blew me away.
🌈🇨🇦🌈
Soo...essentially expensive doodling...
Sound makes this a waste of time, sorry.
It was lovely, then you wrecked it😔
Voice quality made video unpleasant to listen to
