Star vs is very underrated from people that haven't watch it. And so is Brian H. Kim (the composer of the music)
People need to be in the right mindset when watching it though, if they wanted the full satisfaction of the ending. They need to watch it as a journey for its two main characters more than anything else, don't expect it to go too in depth with lore and magic and consider them as just stepping stones for the characters to grow. SVTFOE is a really character-driven show about people who aren't always perfect. Take S1, the lore didn't come until much later. But before that, there is this steady build up of Star and Marco getting closer and more understanding of each other. This is important and you better cherish every moments they had during these times, heck, ship them if you want to. That's even better. Prioritize Star's (and to an extent Marco's as well) growth over anything else such as the plot itself and you're in for a satisfying finale. And always remember the show is first and foremost a coming-of-age story and not just an epic fantasy adventure. Many people actually came expecting the wrong things and felt underwhelmed by everything by the end, but it's just a sign they missed the whole point.

Super sad to see the show gone.... but very happy for the both of them to finally be together. No other cartoon (besides gravity falls) will ever come close to SVTFOE. Thank you Daron Nefcy for such an amazing show. I hope we can see some kind of reboot in the near future, but for now, don’t cry cause it’s over, smile cause it happened.
I really hope a movie comes out, the ending honestly felt a little lacking.
Heyy, as someone who watches too much animation, I can recommend cartoons which actually do come close to SVTFOE, This is just my suggestion though:
Avatar: The Last Airbender - (pure perfection)
She-ra and The Princess of Power (2018) - (this is an emotional wreck, if you are not emotionally stable DON'T watch, you' ll get your heart broken way too many times, TRUST ME)
Steven Universe - ( * sigh * the show of my childhood :') you'll cry, but it's worth it ALSO incredible jazzy music, thank you Rebecca Sugar)

Btw the theme also plays back in Season 3 after Star and Marco fought each other and hugged. It also plays during Season 4 in Curse of the Blood Moon where Marco says he sees Star as his best friend.
I think he didn’t put them because those tracks haven’t been officially named yet.

Recently I finally watched svtfoe (I had known about it for a while but had nowhere to watch it). When I started watching it I got instantly hooked lol. Honestly I’m kinda amazed how quickly I got emotionally invested with this wonderful show. The ending hit me so hard in more than way. It may have only been recently when I finished watching but now whenever I hear the Starco theme(s) my heart gets so heavy. I am forever great full to Daron Nefcy and everyone else who helped bring this masterpiece of a show to life.

I watched every single episode on SVTFOE and I'm watching them all over again from the beginning. Seeing and remembering every single part from the day they met to the day they get together. I'm probably gonna cry again when it hits the end. Because there relationship is so precious and beautiful. It gives me hope for love one day and I'm grateful for it.. we love u star and Marco, forever u are together 😭💜💜

I am late to the party and i got disney plus recently so i started seeing it... I finished it and now i feel kinda miserable... I didnt realize how much i was missing out on this series... I never thought that the ending would hurt me this bad but it was a good series... I feel like nothing can compete with this series and i believe it doesnt need a movie or another season... It doesnt need anything else because the story is over but hey it was fun seeing all of this.
The reoccurring chords that play throughout scenes in the series always hit hard the different versions of the starco theme show how star and Marcos relationship progresses throughout the seasons and it warms my heart I miss them so much Brian h Kim is a great composer

Just finished the show a couple hours ago and this HURTS
Whenever i revisit this im both happy, sad and angry. This series man.
What I love most about this song is that from the very first episode there was a snippet of this song (when Marco smiles at Star and they go home together) and even in certain scenes from the four seasons. Showing that they would be together in the end.🥰
It’s like Marco created the show and intro because his voice actor also sings the intro 😭😭

I've never been too interested in osts but even as a kid, the soundtrack in this show really stood out to me. Particularly when it gets soft and chimey, it has a sentimental feel to it.
I fell madly in love with the show after revisiting it a while back, and I'm happy that some of the songs are out there for people to appreciate. Its super underrated!
Of course a big part of why I love the music is because of all the emotional weight starco has. Their relationship just always makes me incredibly happy and I love seeing the music bring out the beauty of it. From the happy stuff, to the darker emotional moments.
I'm getting emotional over starco and I'm not ashamed of it! 💕

This comment is to encourage people to rewatch the show, you'll pick up on a lot more, ( and recently watching it over I sorta accept the ending more )
Fun fact, the SVTFOE team was actually well okay and planning on making a 5th season and drawing out the story. But unfortunately their contract with Disney XD stated that a show can only contain a certain amount of episodes/ seasons. So they unfortunately couldn’t make it ):

And even so, they could’ve fixed the ending if they had just not switched over to season by season planning during season 3 instead of planning the whole story out ahead to set things up right. They could’ve had proper pacing, character development, and not had an incredible show fall from grace. (Btw I’m not here to just tell people to not like the ending, I’m just pointing out that they changed to a seasonal approach for seasons 3 and 4.)
