I haven't done the new one, but I have done the old one twice. Glad to hear that they fixed the printing issue and the pieces fitting in multiple spots. The sorting process is actually my least favorite part of all puzzles, so after I did the puzzle the first time I put it away in four sections... made the process a lot more enjoyable the second time! I find gradient puzzles to be so relaxing and surprisingly easy. It's funny to hear that you have an easier time with the lightest pieces over the darkest pieces, I'm the exact opposite!

It's funny how our minds classify things sometimes:
"Nobody is going to see it, so it's okay." *Proceeds to put it on the internet for tens of thousands of people to see.
Yet if she goes to the store dressed the same way, she'd feel more concerned over the potential judgement of the couple dozen other strangers that might see her during the trip?
And I do the same kind of thing. I'm easily comfortable making a comment in front of all of you, but doing the same in front of a live crowd that I have no expectation of ever seeing again (so just as impersonal and risk-free) would be extremely stressful. It makes me wonder if it's the lack of seeing the other people's faces that makes internet socialization easier or if it's the ability to tweak our exposure to our satisfaction before making it live that makes it easier.

Very interesting thought. I think it's a bit of both for me. Though I do stress about comments once I've posted them but mostly about grammar and spelling rather than content

Shirt. And a challenge you may consider. Take 2 puzzles, of similar difficulty, and piece number. Puzzle one of them like you ordinarily do, and puzzle the other one completely without any sorting of pieces. That is, not sorting out edge pieces, not sorting pieces by color or shape, and all puzzle pieces must remain in the box of the puzzle, while you puzzle the puzzle. In other words, you would have to pick a piece, find the place of that spesific piece, then pick another piece, and find the place of that piece, and so forth until the puzzle is finished. Then compare how much time you have to use for each of the puzzles. Would be interesting to see how you would do on a puzzle were you are not allowed to use such «speed-hacks» as sorting the puzzle beforehand.
By the way. The latter way of puzzling is the method I use. It takes me a lot of time, but I like the task of finding that spesific piece that I am looking for, and then placing it at its place. Many times I can even pick a spesific piece of the puzzle, and know exactly where it is supposed to be because I have, during my puzzling, studied the puzzle motive to that extent that I can do that.
But for the record, I usually puzzle 500-1500 piece puzzles. But it would be interesting to see how much time can be saved by sorting, before starting on some of my bigger puzzles.
