Brilliant real-time filming!
you can feel the love coming thru.. 😁
Indeed!
Nice job you two did, and now I learnd something new.
Cheers King Mike. 🥃
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm going to use this video as a reference. Land Rover couldn't do it this well, since these visors are going to last. Lovely job, and merry Christmas to you and Debs.
Glad I could help!
Good effort, lads! I think it was Happich Auto Trim that made them beauties first time around. I seem to remember visor coverings being sown inside out all the way round inside out except for the top seam. Then the wire with the foam/cardboard armature was inserted. Then the last seam stitched across the top as it was less visible. Also, the foam was on the outside of the card to give a soft feel.
Thanks for the info!
Nice job guys.
Glad you enjoyed it
nice job
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful work better than original! I bet that rebuild would look great with ultra suede.
That would be cool!
Cool video Mike nice bit of needle work 👍 👌 👏
Glad you enjoyed it
@@BritannicaRestorations always ♥️
a lovely job, well done to you both.
Thank you very much!
Undertakers have an easy commute - they work at the dead centre of town.
lol!
Hi Mike. You're gonna have to teach Jim to shout "Kaput" and kick a bucket under the table when he throws discards on the floor!🇻🇨
Lol!
What was the punch line for the stiffs ! Nice one anyways !
It's nice to hear a proper English accent for a change. 😉
I try!
Would it be possible to wrap the outside from the non hinging side? That way your long stitched side wouldn't be on show.
Not really as there is a metal frame inside wider at the front than the back - it would be difficult to make a pocket and fit it in
We did consider it - but found there was no one else doing that way - if the sun visor was oblong and parallel, then maybe
Pretty good finished product, British workmanship rules ok 🙊
Where do you find these guys? Great to be able to call upon local specialist skills. 👍
Here!
I think you guys earned a drink or 3
What a good idea!
Undertaking's a dying trade......I pity any non english native trying to follow all of your references!....the visors look good as well
Lol!
I bet the 100% bonus rate, was 2.4 minutes, on the production lines.
I hope i dont have to do that, lol.
It will end up with disco ones in it...or none ...
Part of the inspection here
Bloody Missus Gromley!
Oh my! What a story! I was driving all over town for 2 hours trying to find them a bloody water pump and belt. I back heeled the job.
Let the local garage do it. They expected me to fix it in their drive for next to nowt in the cold, as they didn't want to pay for a tow truck to bring it to my place - sod that for a game of soldiers
See why I do not fix domestic cars? I would have a yard full of lost causes!
And later I found out they drove the car with a busted belt and no waterpump until it would drive no more!
@@BritannicaRestorations Yep, some folk are dumb counts who f*&$ up all their lives then expect someone to bail them out!
Don't I know it! And they are all on welfare! That's my tax money!
@@BritannicaRestorations Bah, hah, ha….
It's great to see two skilled people working together but even better when they are obviously good friends who enjoy a bit of banter.
When you sent deb into the contianers, did she come back or are you looking for the box and deb? Is she safe.😊
I was wondering where she was...
@@BritannicaRestorations She's waiting for you Mike.
what about the mirror?
Glue a proper one on the back
