In this video I am showing you insects, which I collected at my kitchen during one year period. My friends from "Entomology" group on Facebook, identified them for me (see Contents below for scientific names).

00:41 Dermestidae, Attagenus cyphonoides Reitter, 1881, male. Identified by Jirka Háva. Commonly known as a "carpet beetle" or "skin beetle";
01:06 Thomisidae, Pistius truncatus. ID by Simeon Indzhov. Common name is a "crab spider";
01:20 Male Lesser Stag Beetle, Lucanidae. Dorcus parallelipipedus, Identified by Oliver Keller.
01:30 Mouth details, bottom view;
01:37 Eye up close, bottom view;
01:42 Antennae close up;
01:47 Leg joint-torso connecting area zoom;
01:51 Claws of a front leg;
All of them originated from Zhytomyr, Ukraine, where i live.

Wondering why it's "shaking"? The movement was added on purpose, to improve viewers depth and form perception. Both camera and subject stays still during the shooting. Combining different angles of view in one makes that moving effect, aka Wiggle Stereoscopy.

Danke für Ihr Interesse. Hier geht es mehr um die Focus-Stacking-Technik als um die Kamera. Das ist es, was Makrofotografen tun. Und ich verwende auch eine andere Technik namens Wiggling-Stereoskopie. Googeln Sie diese Begriffe, lernen Sie, und eines Tages können Sie es auch tun.

Which microscope shoots so great ?
I am using custom setup based on Nikon MRL00102 microscope objective attached to Canon M3 through Canon 100mm 2.8L.
