One of the best 6 strings basses on the planet!!! For the money, it's almost impossible to find a bass with the features and quality of this bass!!! I initially didn't understand why John switched from Ken Smith to Yamaha. However, the more I hear this bass, the more I understand why he did!!!
Excellent... I've watched and studied your playing in this video. Just listening too and watching your techniques and solo patterns are an inspiration. Very musical not just displaying chops. Makes me want to buy a TRB6 JP2.. Great review and video....
I so much like this Bass - it's string spacing, flat fret board plus tone & would love to have it cause I love John Patitucci style of playing but I can't afford the guitar 🎸 at the moment.
I will surely get it one day soon!
Yeah JP is one of my first inspirations on the six string.
May be expensive, but dang it's well worth it!
I am thinking seriously to get me one as a gift to meself very soon. Working hard and always helping others and the family why not pleasing myself... EBMM Bongo HH6 Stealth Black 4 Bands EQ sounds way better. Monster bass.

Nice one! It's a wonderful bass and you've got a great sound and groove. What pre-amp are you using?
Cheers! It's the on board preamp. As standard on this model. No external processing at all. Just the pure sound of that bass! It is sold now BTW. Happy new year!
The bass tone is very weak and the mid tone not sound balanced for my taste. I had to upgrade the preamp by a better quality more powerfull one.
I actually didn't like the glassiness of the tone personally. I have str 6 string instead with aguilar pre. Much better imo! But to each their own

@@BassJapanDirect I put OB3 with Volume Push/Pull - active/Passive but I didn't know about The master tone.
@@rhoodj yes that's just an added option. Not part of the preamp, it adds even more tonal scope. Works in passive mode too.
I hate 6 string basses but not this one
