Marcus kills me at 6:00! I love his comedic role in the quartet as the guy who is just happy to be there, so hilarious! The other three crack me up too, needless to say I love this quartet!
Jake's stanza was just hilarious!!! The gibberish would aost make you think he had forgotten his lines. "Drinking country beer, and giving whiskey to my beer."😂😂😂
A worthy substitute for the original nonsense, where the real boot morphed into a fake boot that morphed into a homicidal knife that exploded in flames, while Jake the dog morphed into the real boot (most of which they probably couldn't do on stage)
The absolute best moment that I'm really sad that they didn't get to show in this video was the truck went for way longer than I think they expected it to go. It would have been really funny to see the camera follow the truck all the way to the side of the stage where it ended up. I was up on the top left side of the audience, and just seeing it travel off was hilarious
Absolutely loving the new repertoire direction for NF4 where it's really weird and wacky music. So happy to see them finally get a well-deserved medal and I'm excited to see what they bring next year!
I know these guys make us laugh but it is special when they give us those glimpses of just how incredible they are vocally like during the final stanza of this song. So gifted vocally and that gets overshadowed by the comedy sometimes
especially since it was their least reliant on barbershop in-jokes. I love that kind of humour but I'm getting a bit tired of having to pause the video every 30 seconds to explain all the *deep LORE* when I try to show them to non barbershop nerds.

Similar for me. I enjoy the genre and do occasionally watch other group performances, but NF4's performances always keep my attention. They have a certain entertaining factor that makes them enjoyable to listen and watch.
Looks like a Schoeps CMXY 4V or 41V stereo mic. That particular mic has been discontinued but you can do the same thing with MK capsules, CMC6L preamps, and the SGXY stereo mic clip.
I found that at first, I pretty strongly disliked this performance. For some reason I really didn't like the lack of comedy. Don't get me wrong, there's tons of jokes and funny stuff in this performance but I just didn't find it funny. So I never watched this again. But then I realized... The arrangement is literally the best thing ever. 2:09 - 2:23 runs shivers up and down my spine and I can't thank each and every member of the NF4 enough for singing this. Every time I hear this song, my mood and my dopamine count immediately bump up by like a couple thousand points... whatever that means... I just am so happy that this song exists, and I cannot thank the arranger enough for creating this. And I'm starting to repeat myself but I just can't explain how much this song has changed my life in three weeks.
