Good catch! I have studied Wing Chun and Filipino Kali for many years now...funny how those motions just become parts of you after thousands of repetitions! :) Lyle
I am guilty need hatch struts . Amongst other items . Unfortunately have to wait to wait by life my wife has cancer stage 4 pancreas. I order several things when I can . Keep good work Lyle .
Hey Lyle. Good advertising sir. I enjoyed the intro a lot. I seriously thought this was a P.S.A video. LOL Thank you and I'm excited for the next video.
I ordered a set of these for my C5 trunk lid from you,on-line, April 14. Your website states they will ship within 2-3 business days, and that I will be notified when they ship. It’s April 25 and no word so far …………UPDATE……. The postal service assigned the wrong zip code to my delivery of the struts which caused them to be returned to C&S. Lyle contacted me right away and made arrangements to send them to me via FedEx for no additional cost. Thanks Lyle
I was curious about the same thing. I was wondering which brand he stocks. I have never seen an AC delco for sale, but there does seem to be two major brands, with one I believe, as the original OEM supplier
Not to be a pain but I changed mine for the tonneau and the trunk, not coming from you since this does not cross the ocean by post. The trunk popped up properly for 3months and then I had to pry with my fingers, or close the door. Once pried, the trunk lift up without effort. I will add a small compression spring on the strut to pop it up.
What is the manufacture of the brand that you sell? Are they direct GM replacements or are they aftermarket, like “Tuff”? Thanks Lyle for all the great Contant! As easy as these are to replace, just out of curiosity, is there a video on how to do these including the tonneau cover ones?
Hi I thank you do a great job educating and informing the Corvette community. My question is do you know the force of the stock hood and hatch struts of a 2010 C6?
I honestly don't. I know which part #'s are specifically designed for each location, but I have never tested them to see what the resistance is on each of them. Lyle

Great job again
Thanks Lyle, I will order some this week from you
Thanks Lyle. 👍
Keep you up better than a summer dress.
I had to change those on my Mustang. But I never had to change them on my C6 Corvette.
Man this guy! 💯
Are the struts you sell AC Delco gas struts or aftermarket?

@@richardelliott8352 That’s what I meant, GM direct replacement struts. It’s just that on RockAuto, they list the OEM struts as AC/Delco.

Thank you ….
What brand are you selling Lyle?
We carry Tuff Strut brand here at the shop. :)
Ironically, C6 needed to charge the Battery, opened hood and began to attach charge clamps, look-up and there's the hood slowly coming down on me.

Replaced my hatch struts in my 99 and it still does not pop up enough to get your fingers under.
What brand did you use, Chris?
@@csvette HI Lyle, the brand is Strong Arm, part # 4066.
Wow !! Those are cheap .
Very affordable.
I got a 2009 Toyota Camry and the hood lift supports cost 57 bucks for only one .
C4 coupes have 2 struts in the hatch, and there is 1 or 2 very small struts in the hood. I guess you don’t carry those.
I carry the hatch struts currently, but I don't have the little hood helpers. I will see about adding them to my inventory. Thanks for the suggestion! Lyle
The little blue pill of the strut world
