I setup my dry tent to hold RH at between 59-61% and the temp in my basement ranges from 64-68F in winter and 66-70F in summer. My dry times have generally been anywhere from 7-10 days and so far the results have kept me from investing in a Cannatrol.
I made some charas a few weeks ago!😎 I was preserving this old guy's breeding work and had two fully seeded girls. So after running them until they were ugly, to help assure seed maturity, letting them dry,The easiest way to harvest them was to rub them between your two palms and let the seeds drop out! With letting them go so long to make sure the seeds would be mature, the trichomes were definitely AMBER! It was absolutely some sedative sativa, yeah I know those are not usually two words associated together! Just before bedtime, I hit a nice chunk and then listened to this podcast as I was going to sleep. Among the weird crap that came up in my dreams, was Scotty as the Kool Aid mascot! 🤣 Scotty busted through the wall and with a Smokey cannabis Exhale, he emitted the classic Scotty "Yeeeeeeeaaaaah!"🤣🤣🤣🤣That almost woke me up!🤣🤣🤣 And I got an absolute ton of seeds!😎🥰
Had a major heat wave, it was 36°C in Northern Alberta. Was growing in my garage and had a fully insulated room. Accidentally plugged my heater in instead of my extra exhaust fan and I COOKED my plants. Had an old thermometer🌡and it fucking exploded! Maxed out at 55°C. Label your random cord ends!!!! Double, triple check your electrical!!!!

"High" guys ! New to the channel. My 3rd ever grow, is Week 2 of flower. Taking the "easy" way at first, ~ learning with Auto's. (Banana Kush) Harvest #1 & #2 produced 14 & 14.5 oz from 3 plants each. (Dried & Cured) Just Small Auto plants , but im very happy ! 😉 4x2 tent Mars Hydro TSL2000 (300W) run@ 80% - 15" from canopy. Just bought a PAR Meter at long last ~ takes the guess work out of the equation . Much advice learned watchin you guys, thanks for the info. Party on dudes & dudetts !!!
i was running an old blurple led running in my 2x2 veg tent and my humidifier fucked up and kept making steam and it shorted the light out. it was Poppin like popcorn. it was almost midnight and i should have been in bed at least and hour prior. thank god i wasn't because my apartment could have burned down! i ordered a new light that night and replaced it with another blurple till it came in. then i tore the humidifier apart and cleaned it up so it wouldn't happen again but its getting replaced too.
On 2 occasions ... I've switched on my UVA/B fluro - just to check it was ok (it normally comes on for 2hrs when i'm asleep!) ..... then forgot to turn it off ....for 18hrs ......
70 degree F for dying isnt bad if you can control your humidity youll probably get a 8-10 day dry which is fine. 12-14 day dry is bext imo. if your drying room is stable at 58%rh 68F you can leave them in the dry room til you can get to them alway keep good airflow too!!
One thing you guys can talk about is I know back in the day a lot of the guys that I knew that grew would never share their tips and tricks. And now we can open our phones and get all of the tips and tricks at our fingertips.
My tip is too always pay attention too your environmentals. If you keep this in check you avoid alot of issues especially with mold and pm etc. my work has it alot and I’m the IPM lead and I tell them you wanna work less control your environment more. I keep mine in check and have 24/7 monitoring so I never have mold issues (8 years growing) 108 plant rotation at home lol biggest biggest tip is control your environment
Scottie’s insistent claim 68 F is too high to dry 🙄. Relative humidity is the key. Some of this bro stuff is a bit much. How 65 F be different without the critical part of humidity. 70/70 is the same as 60/60. Almost dew point, water can’t evaporate. Science. Unless you run a data logger on your dry. I have. You’re not at 60/60 on average

I'm smoking something I call USS which means unidentified Sativa dominant strain. I planted four different autos for my own stash. I labeled the pots then a month later I repotted when I was stoned. So I don't know what I'm smoking.
I have a story. I had plants in the ground since march & beginning of October right before harvest I was in Texas for a wedding and the person I had feeding the plants told me there was a detective's card in my front door. In the back yard i had massive plants. one taller than my house, I got pics. I said pull em. I call my lawyer & he tells me to call the cop and the cop tells me it was all about some evidence being sold frm an old case in my 20s. They had a $100 check for me! That's it! I call home in hopes to salvage a few of the girls. Not only are they all pulled but NOTHING got hung up. It all got dumped off a cliff into a river! 😭 11 pounds of my 2nd best buds EVER!
I have destroyed entire grow rooms from out of control spider mites. I once lost a room sized hydro table from root rot. It took me a long time to see actual success. Mistakes happen

I have had to deal with colder temperatures while drying. I make sure that the humidity though is much less. Vice versa if it’s high temperatures, I try to make sure there’s always enough humidity for sure to cover.
Wouldn't you want a lower humidity the high the temps get? I usually dry in my closet so the climate is whatever the house is at. Around 70F and 50-ish RH with swings. I can dry in about a week sometimes sooner but I've never had anything turn out smelling like hay. It's always smelt, tasted and smoked great. I wet trim though but I trim off almost everything. Once dried all I need to do really is manicure.
According to the cannatrol vids. A 53/54% dewpoint is what you want. You can use a dewpoint calculator to figure the RH for the temperature your using.
I truly been lucky enough with all my grows that every time I dried my I've always kept mine in the 60s and humidity 60s and I've put out some great cannabis this year is truly going be hunting good genetics the last year I just order from a few new places and seriously going back to the first places that I had bought from in the beginning definitely great genetics

The earth revolves around the sun on an elliptical orbit, not perfect circle. During the winter we are closer to the sun, during n hemisphere's summer we are farther (which is southern hemispheres winter) so it IS more natural to do that. Cheers!!❤❤❤
As far as veg schedule for myself i do 6 on 2 off instead of light stressing with too much DLI.. seemed that it save about a week depending on strain . If you have super high efficiency lighting such as Samsung lm301B/H class diodes the lights put off more light than the plant can handle... As far as using UV and IR its not as much for the increases but for the plant strength.. i use 4 foot agro max pure UV bulbs in 4 20 minute bursts
im in IL and ive had my medical card here for almost a year now and i got from my PTSD diagnosis. thats crazy to me that other states dont support PTSD under medical cannabis...wtf
i will say, they basically FORCED me to grow my own with my medical card though because at the end of 2023, all the medical dispensary licenses ended and IL refused to renew ANY, so now in IL we dont have ANNNYYYY medical dispensaries to buy clones or seeds from as medical patients. i have a medical marijuana grow store in my town i can get seeds and clones from now, but its insane the way they did IL medical patients from 2024 and beyond....

I dry outdoors for 2 days sometimes 3-4 depending temps then once snappy ill trim the shade leaves off cut the branches and lay them in a carboard container. No need to buy extra things, but put your money into lights and air. K.I.S.S. in everything when at home

Out of at least the 40 or so different auto flower genetics I've grown only one did the same thing consistently.. I wasn't always changing things either.. it was 420 fastbuds gorilla cookies auto ive grown a few that were decent from barneys and seedsman but autos seem to not be for me . I also do not like the fact you must start from seeds every time and can clone.. for outside in my area they would be great if I could find a consistent breeder . I'll never grow autos indoors again
about the cold in a lungroom as long as you have a heater backup and some humidity inside the lungroom you can survive winter temps of 30F. keep an eye out on the temp inside the tent and hit the heater when you need it aye? i would not recommend to put a heater inside your tent if you dont have the space. with the lights on you hit standard temps

A good grower makes mistakes and is able to fix them..
I have my ir lights come on 15 minutes before my lights go on to wake up my girls, than 15 minutes after the lights go off to put them to sleep. peace

13/11 can cause more leafy bud and could require more nitrogen during flower time! My experience.
