I have been wanting to see this series again since it was first broadcasted back in (i think) 1986. I've been unsuccessful but I'm very grateful to see just this tiny clip!!! 😊 Thank you so very much for uploading 👍💖👏
I share your wish because its a brilliant drama. I'm fortunate to have a full episode on videotape. If it were possible I'd gladly send you a copy. It's the episode based on Carolyn Pickles being released from the German prison camp.
@@bigbreadeaterellis Thank you so much for the thought! That was so appreciated 😊 I'm sure this series has to be somwhere, if i ever find it i will let you know 💖

I don't remember this series, But I found an episode on an old tape from 1986 and I must say that I really enjoyed it. It's a pity there aren't any complete episodes on UA-cam.
I loved this show. I recorded the whole series and watched it again and again. Then I convinced myself in the early 90s that my videos tapes should be taped over as Star Trek The Next Generation was on BBC2😭😭😭. What an idiot! I’ve regretted it ever since! I regularly watch the snippets on here and keep hoping someone somewhere will download it again 😀😀 My favourite bits are Margaret Kelly giving the Nazi prison officer a ticking off when they arrest her and they let her go to have some piece and quiet. Another is when Margaret discovers that the woman who runs the hotel Marcelle (her Jewish husband) is in after escaping Auschwitz or ? doesn’t grass him up to the Nazis is due to her bringing eggs or a cake! Is that the cost of a human life? Sarah
how can we petition to get this series released on dvd???? I videotaped it from A&E station in the 80's and eventually made my own dvd's. But I WOULD like to see it released Commercially .
I wanted to tell you that you hurt are sadly mistaken this show came out in 1982 not 86 I remember watching the show with my mother who is now deceased and at the end of the show they they play AVI setting blood which is by patachou and I do remember the show and it was called Bluebell and it came out in 1982 not 86 and I just wanted to let you know that I would love to have this on DVD but unfortunately that the powers-that-be don't have it I don't know I don't know if they destroy the tapes and then just read tape over am after words but it's a crying shame that they don't have copies of this because I do like the show
..I too very much wish the BBC would release this serial on DVD as I have close family ties to the Jackson Family and would love it as a keepsake. But, incidently, the BBC didn't do a thorough enough job with their research into the background of some of the characters in the Bluebell serial. For instance, although Alfred Jackson had died in 1966, Tess Jackson - his widow, was still very much alive and living in Devon when the show was aired. She was extremely unhappy how certain so-called facts about her life & personna were portrayed particularly upset that the show dipicted her as having an affair with Alfred Jackson while his first wife (Ellie) was still alive. Tessie stated this was wholly untrue and that they (Ellie, Alfred and her) had all been friends for many years. She said - HAD she been contacted by BBC researchers, she could have provided first-hand facts & knowledge backed up, no doubt, with years of personal papers about herself, Alfred Jackson and Ellie and the errors, which were broadcast as facts, would never have aired. Her side of the story was reported in a lot of British newspapers at the time (1986) but, she said she didn't have the money to sue the BBC. Tessie survived until 2003. If anyone does know if any DVD is being/been released, please kindly leave a message. Many thanks.

is there some kind of legal hold up in re-releasing this? would LOVE to see it again.
I guess its due to standard copyright issues.
