The way I experience Michael’s approach is revealing. This is how I see it 🤔 To the naked eye looks is a stop, at the vibrational level is definitely not a stop, and we don’t know how to control it under, the old instructional “ loops concept “ forms of fly casting, it should be fly fisherman all over if the loops are the right path to drive people to fly fishing since this form of fishing started .!!! this needs to be fixed or this beautiful game is going to continue to be frustrating at beginning level and probably that’s why newcomers quitting rates are 7 of the 10 !! I was wrong, I was told wrongly and so I did to the next guy in line, to my instructors, friends and mentors, thank you all, but the secret to a good casting is not behind a good STOP. Thank you Michael!! Great work, do not stop sharing, it might take awhile but you are definitely in the right path!! Grant was definitely up to something 😇
the idea, that one should play with a fly rod, line, and leader is exactly how I've come to teach. I have created competitive games for my grandson with the goals of distance and accuracy. Start with a short line, and extend to the limits of ability... enjoyed this video..
A tiny fluff of wool seems far more effective and you will learn more from the mistakes you make. Watching how the end of my line and leader unrolled taught me a lot too, seems pretty important for a beginner. Also the rod does spot no matter how you cast.
Enjoyed the video Michael but please allow me to make some constructive criticism: the video is twice as long as it needs to be and there are too many distracting pop-ups. Just my opinion…
Thanks bro. I value your comment. Pls try the fixed line for me. I put up less pop ups next time if u feed me back on the fixed line, sir. I m only learning this and the footage was bad and dark in pieces, so I also.did that a bit to distract from my bad filming skills. Just a bit of fun too. Alexander grant was real though, as the fixed line is. Cheers man.
I’ve watched this twice now. At the 22:30 mark, aren’t you stopping the rod on the back cast? The fixed anchor seems great (haven’t had a chance to try it yet), but I’m confused on the “no rod stop”.
So was I my friend. Check out the video "the art of letting go with fly rod and line and the throwaway cast for how to understand not to stop very quick. Your mind will do it for you if you let her. Thanks for your comments and support, lad.
Thanks for the help. I look into it. Statistics of my yt channel though show unfortunately the opposite: ccc gets the better views , ctr and engagement. I also think that ff needs to unlearn a few toxic lessons and I got banned and bullied by toxic teachers who hinder the sport. They make more problems than they solve. I solve these problems. I hope u give the fixed line a rattle and I thank you for your time and advice. You re probably even right.... But why do the stats say different 🤔?
Yeah, I actually do see the rod stop. Which is causing those accursed loops you're throwing. Is this a 'believe me or believe your lying eyes test? Svengali fail.
Also just noticed the “pointer on top” grip. Nice!

Have you tried the fixed line anchor already?

Thank you Michael - I will certainly try the fixed line! 😊
Tried the fixed line in my garden yesterday 👌
and also confirmed that a “hard stop” isn’t necessary.

Your best work yet, Michael. Now just ditch the CCC, you don't need it!
Thanks, would you be so kind and explain to me what CCC is?
👍 Criticise, condemn & complain (Dale Carnegie term)

Brilliant, thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Cool video. But there comes a point where you need to stop talking shit and get on with what you mean to say.
Only warm up session.....

Irrelevant nonsense Michael like all the bling popping up on the screen
