Such a informative video!! Thanks sooo much for all the advice and for sharing your portfolio :) 💘💘💘💘💘💘 I’m also interested in your Syd uni experience and work experience!! Please do more videos!!! X
wow this was really insightful, can u make more of these in the future. maybe even like progress videos of how u tackle ur projects, they seem really interesting 😆😁. love ur eyes btw 🙈❤️
I loved your portfolio and your style💯 What do you think a portfolio should look like? Are Monochromatic and simple portfolios acceptable? Or whatever works?
Thank youuuu, honestly don’t feel pressured to do a portfolio similar to those featured online etc. I feel like ur portfolio should really showcase your individuality. So whatever works fine! But I would suggest to keep things clear and easy to read. Not too much text as they wouldn’t be too bothered to read it. 👌
My works are not this massive like yours, was thinking of way to make it look good though and I want detailed list of informations that need to be explained in a portfolio designs like site analysis and the rest🙏🏾
Wow this work is outstanding 👏 I'm scare for my portfolio I'm about to send for my MA architecture here in London. Please give some details on the software you are using for your rendering. Can you also have a Tutorial on you mappings looks amazing 👏 Thanks 😊
Thank you!! In the video I used vray and photoshop for my renders, but now I have switched to lumion instead as it is faster and easier to render! I’ll make some videos on rendering and mapping techniques in the future! 😁
Hi! Thanks for the video it's very helpful. There's hardly any info from M.Arch students in NUS so this is super appreciated. Had a question--when do early deadline and regular deadline results come out? Im a bit lost on that. And if you don't mind, may i know how much the printing services cost in NUS and if they have A2, A1 and A0 printing? Thanks in advance!!
Hey there, results should come out in March. In terms of printing cost I only know A1 ranges from $5-15 I think. I will be posting out a new video in a few days showcasing my work at NUS, so check it out if your interested 😁
Thank you for sharing nice information regarding your experience and Portfolio. Can you please guide me from where I should start learning architecture. I have Bachelors in telecommunication engineering from UET Taxila, Pakistan and now I want to learn architecture because its my dream profession
Hey, you could apply for bachelors of architecture as well. You could also try to apply small architecture firms to hopefully get a small position for some experience.

Hey John so they will schedule a time for your interview and they will ask you to present one of your projects to them, and then ask you some questions like “do u have work experience?” , “why NUS” etc , it will only take around 10-15mins
All your projects and portfolio works are great!!! I want to ask if you made this in A4 size or A3 size. Which paper size is normally required for portfolios for universities?
Hello Harry, very nice videos. Please would like to know how you do your renders, that is which softwares. I will like to create something similar. Thank you
Hey so what I wrote for my work experience is basically just the types of projects I was involved in, eg I did a residential renovation which I talked about how I worked closely with the builders to achieve project satisfaction. I also talked about how I was involved in commercial type of projects and explained it a bit. Hope this helps
What do u think UCL looks for in a portfolio? I’m currently studying in USYD too and wish to apply UCL for masters, but doubting if I should work after completing bachelors. Do you recommend taking a year of work experience before applying for their masters?
Hey Harry. Thanks for making this video to help students like us. I had a question , actually few questions. Can you list down the 10 questions that are generally asked in these type of interviews? And Do you have your letter of recommendation template that you can share? Do these universities require statement of purpose? last but not the least, what is the song that you used in your video at the end?
Hey, a few questions may be “why did you apply for this uni?, which architect inspires you?, do you have any working experience? , why do you like architecture? ….yes I had a few letter of recommendation which my referrals wrote themselves without following a template. Some uni requires statement of purpose. I remember Sydney Uni and UCL needed, but can’t remember if NUS needed.
Just wondering, for the projects that you worked on during your gap year. Are these independent or something that you worked on at work? If they are independent, how did you get feedback for improvements on them?
Hey, they were projects that I did when I worked at an Archi firm. But I mainly took in charge of the projects, so I often would get feedback from the client. we would meet up every so often to discuss changes and development. Etc , hope this helps !
Hi Harry, thanks for this video! I just have a question about the bachelors degree you took at Sydney before applying at the NUS. Was it a 4 yr degree? Because here at the university of Auckland, the b.arch degree is only 3 years, while NUS seems to require a 4 year degree to get into M.Arch
@@harrylam6559 Thank you both for asking and answering! I'm also from Sydney Uni too, waiting for my graduated certificate and I'm trying to start applying to NUS.
hi, did you have to come up with a portfolio for undergraduate admission into NUS architecture? (e.g. to bring for interview) if yes, do you have tips on what to include in the portfolio?
Hi, I did my bachelors degree at USYD, but I know that undergraduate in NUS doesn’t require a portfolio, however having one will greatly increase your chances of getting accepted. You can put anything design related, like your drawings, photography, design skills etc
