In certain cases, it's even wiser to speak with a smartvestor to determine options best meant for you, I personally did this, and it works pretty well.

Hi. You gave examples of m&m, torrent pharma and calculated their returns from bottom to top.
But while at bottom, they would have had a negative alpha. There would have been no means at that time to check if they are going to have high alpha in next cycle.

Hello mam, while setting the beta, you had selected -0 to positive beta. Is this correct setting? Because this will give us the stocks which are having positive beta. Meaning they are highly volatile & risky right? we need stocks which are having less beta and high alpha. Could you please respond am I correct or not?

Basically we are focusing on selecting high Alpha stocks. When you get the high alpha stock in the screener you should check what is its Beta. If it is low you can add it to the watchlist. Usually if you check the negative beta stocks (usually rare stocks) their alpha will also be less which is of no use to us. They will be rangebound most of the times..

Here's a small finding: in Alpha, after entering 20 value, if you select High it will take the default value of 58.68. Is this okay for filtering?
