Claire Walton found footage showing her 13-year-old daughter Hollie being grabbed by her hair and thrown around as she walked home from school on Friday afternoon. She posted it on social media in order to shame the bullies and has since removed Hollie from her school. But will sharing the video have the effect she hopes for?

As someone who was bullied through nearly all the way through the school life I absolutely blame the teachers for not doing anything. I remember when I actually informed my form tutor about myself being bullied all she said was "go away I can't deal with you right now". Looking back I really wish I'd spoke to the principal.

So right. The teachers always gas light the victim so they either don't have to deal with it, (or they can't) or because they don't want any agro from the bully themselves. Pointless having anti bullying policies when teachers are bullies themselves. Two types of evil. They see it, don't do anything. "You should tell a teacher" is their scapegoat line. Most teachers are narcs...they don't realize how it affects us in our adult lives....

Pure jealousy. That's what this is because this girl is so beautiful. Her hair is amazing. This bully is completely jealous of her. It's pathetic how much bullying happens every day.

What a terrible school, I’d blame them entirely.

I wonder what more the school can do in this situation. A lot of times, these kids are smart. And they know how to torment someone secretly and still portray themselves as an angel to their parents and teachers.
Imagine it’s hard for the teacher or administrator to do anything if they don’t catch them in the act.
Unfortunately getting this on video is probably the only thing that would have stopped this bully.

It starts in the home. Your child should be taught how to protect defend and etc themselves not rely on others too all the time because there will not always be someone to come save them sadly.

@@user-dr3vf6bp3z or the real world. All kids aren’t nice and don’t come from loving homes teaching your kid this and how to protect themselves in situations like this are vital. Expecting the whole world to be full of nice ppl and heroes who will save the day isn’t the wisest.

No. Schools are at fault for not taking bullying seriously, the adults let it escalate.
