Therapeutic anticoagulation vs VTE prophylaxis in stroke. In the institution where I work. SubQ clexane is routine within 24hr of stroke for VTEP or 24 hours following tPA (call made by neuro)
My question is whats your take on Low NIH score but debilitating deficit (Lets say arm weakness/ Dysarthria, aphasia etc) will you not treat that patient with TNK?
Had a patient walk in to my urgent care clinic last week with a Broca’s aphasia for one hour. Moved him out quickly.

Jerome Hoffman says tPA not only doesn't work but the harm rate is high and doesn't recommend tPA at all. What are your thoughts?
In this case, you must adhere (stick) to your local/national protocols.
@@drdannegoita That's not my question. My question is your thoughts and reaction to Jerome Hoffman who says tPA is dangerous and not helpful.
I was wondering the same thing.
