I'm really not being facetious here, when I say that a relationship like this takes a lot more than maturity; I mean I can think of several ways this relationship could be handled, but none are really great. So instead of looking at someone or someons who is visibly "different" from them" as thinking and feeling humans like you are doing, these surface thinkers focus only on themselves and things that they'll never get answers to. It doesn't occur to them that these women are still women, and just because they choose to share their story in the hopes that it will help others, doesn't mean they shouldn't be respected. I'm not a conjoined twin, and I will never claim to know what others are feeling and how they experience life. So I'm used to a lot of very personal and super invasive questions, to which my answer calmly is: "That's for me to know and for you to never find out. It's highly inappropriate for you to ask about my dating life when you don't know me. If you wouldn't ask someone who isn't visibly different invasive questions, don't ask me." The more interesting things to me about people include learning about their life experiences and different perspectives. I could care less how marriage works between them because just like everyone else, those aspects of their lives that they choose not to share details of aren't anyone esles's damn business. I would instead love to talk to them about education and their experiences and views as educators--I'm an educator myself. anyway, the idea of thoughtful conversation is mostly lost on the Internet. Sadly.

The open, honest and direct conversations and ongoing communications that these people must have is humbling. I genuinely do not think it's awkward at all most likely. We might think it's awkward because we've only ever experienced living in our own body, but these twins have shared a body since conception. They share everything from the waist down. They poop together, they pee together, and I'm sure they've had "urges" just like the rest of us, and they've had to navigate that together, probably far before they met this guy. It's only awkward to us because we've never experienced this, but I doubt that it's awkward for them.

Having watched various programs about them over the years, its amazing how “normal” their lives have actually been. So instead of looking at someone or someons who is visibly "different" from them" as thinking and feeling humans like you are doing, these surface thinkers focus only on themselves and things that they'll never get answers to. It doesn't occur to them that these women are still women, and just because they choose to share their story in the hopes that it will help others, doesn't mean they shouldn't be respected.
I'm not a conjoined twin, and I will never claim to know what others are feeling and how they experience life. But difference isn't foreign to me; I'm blind and in my case, that is obvious when someone meets me because my eyes don't track. So I'm used to a lot of very personal and super invasive questions, to which my answer calmly is: "That's for me to know and for you to never find out. It's highly inappropriate for you to ask about my dating life when you don't know me. If you wouldn't ask someone who isn't visibly different invasive questions, don't ask me."
The more interesting things to me about people include learning about their life experiences and different perspectives. I could care less how marriage works between them because just like everyone else, those aspects of their lives that they choose not to share details of aren't anyone esles's damn business. I would instead love to talk to them about education and their experiences and views as educators--I'm an educator myself.

Having watched various programs about them over the years, its amazing how “normal” their lives have actually been. Probably helps that they grew up in a small town and went to a school where everyone knew them and their family from Day One, so they weren’t a constant sideshow in their day-to-day lives. You should watch some of the videos of them from years past and you will change your outlook. At first I couldn’t believe my eyes or imagine their lives but now I really see them as two people with incredible personalities and the most positive take on life and living imaginable. They like their fate. There are aspects to their lives that are even enviable. Honestly, take a look.
I think it’s beautiful 😍 they deserve to be loved, get married and maybe someday have kids of their own. The men who are brave enough will already know what to expect from the beginning in their relationship. The sisters share the same love, values and commitment within the body.
