cardinalracing... NOW LETS TALK ABOUT THIS CAR! Its INCREDIBLE, RIGHT?! I cant believe that I was able to lift the motor plate & cradle right out so easily.. making it super convinient to work on the Lehner 3080 Sensored Brushless Motor I got from MGM Controllers here:

This motor and ESC combo is RATED for 15S Lipo!! This is an incredible amount of power for this awesome setup.. and there is no way (at the moment) I have plans to use 15S until I learn how to control that much power with a new car. MAXIMUM will be 12.. but I will start at 8s...

The XS5 MAX is designed with a 1:1 scale realism of a mid-engine supercar. We developed the XS5 Max with advanced modelling techniques. Sophistication and refinement were the main inspiration keywords while creating the body. Sculpted twisting lateral surfaces gliding from the front to the back both vertically and horizontally creating a dynamic design language. Styling features such as wide muscular fenders, low roof-line and vertical head lamps help forming a powerful stance. I had the same issue with the secondary motor mount on my build. ended not using it either. no issues. I highly recommend using the mechanical brakes due to the weight of the car. using the mechanical brakes will save you some heat and main battery power. I've setup mine to still be able to reverse (to get out of any tough spots). fyi if you go with the hydrax disc brake system, you'll need to get the updated battery tray to mount the disc brake servos. cant wait to watch your ESC tuning video!
I agree on the brakes. I build a losi 5B with 8S setup (not as nice as your electronics though) but also kept the mechanical brake (in the center) for prolonged battery life and less heat. I still melted a body once with the esc to motor wires… so you might have to do something about the heat coming of esc and motor. Maybe cut out some cooling slots in the body ? I just drilled holes in my body in a nice pattern to get rid of some of the heat 😅

The color came out amazing, truly a beautiful car. I can't get into racing in full size cars cuz I broke my back in an auto accident, & am fused from T10 through S1 with hardware, so I love the fact that there's a hobby like this.

Could you not remove the rear window, mount the esc so it sits under where the window was and use it as intended for cooling that would look very cool in my opinion!
If you do that then you have to take it off every time to grease that driveshaft or do any maintenance on the diff I bet.

I love the color play. The dark metallic grey pops both the red & teal.. as a McLaren it would of just been volcano red with not much color play to bring out the body lines. There’s only one dude that I seen on YT with an mgm in a 1/5 street, the red Porsche one… God I can’t wait 😎😎😎
