Definitively. For a bike Ill be using only in summer or in the crudest winter it is an absurd price point. Specialized has their heads in their asses...Again! Surly? Whats that?
SALSA BUCKSAW 2: DROP SEAT -- $500; NITE RIDER PRO 3500 LUMENS, $400; 45NORTH DILLINGER 5in. AND STUDDED 5 IN. DILLINGERS $800; TWIST GRIPS: TOTAL PACKAGE TO THE BEST X-COUNTRY /ALL WEATHER AND CONDITIONS FAT BIKE!!! $7,000.
I seriously hope when you said 4200 that is the model number and doesn't mean dollars because there is NO bicycle on Earth worth anywhere near $4K (grand), I don't care what it's made of!!!
It's the sad truth, but a $4,000 bike is the middle of the pack these days. Like the "That Swag Shy Guy" stated, there are mountain bikes selling for $10 & $12k all day long.
Great bike , rides smooth ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing
free dive I love my reid Hercules. 800 . Great trail, snow. Love it for getting across rough stuff so easy. I road it across a tiled farm field never touched the ground.
$299 Canadian for a 30 lb aluminum framed, quality component fatbike, the Northrock XC00, at Costco right now. Notice how he spoke the price really fast, didn't really dwell on the words, lol.
Nice frames and great looking fatties overall, but looks can be deceiving. Specialized fat bikes have 135mm front hubs that use spacers to fit a 150 front end and strange 190mm rear hubs. I'm a huge Specialized fan and own a few of their models, but disagree with their choice of fat bike hubs. A true fat bike, such as the 9zero7 models have the standard 150x197mm hubs making them a true fat bike. along with the Rocky Mountain models. Stiff and trail compliant 150x107 hubs are true fat bike setups that deliver a true fat bike experience. A few of my riding friends decided to purchase a Specialized fat bike and they're all now regretting this purchase given this misstep by Specialized. I personally passed on purchasing a Specialized fat bike due to this hub configuration and purchased a 2016 Rocky Mountain -50 over all other models. The Rocky's 68.5 degree steering angle is aggressive and delivers a stiffer and more complete fat bike experience. Specialized make nice looking fat bikes, no questions, but the hubs they're using is a fatal mistake that will no doubt come back to haunt them due to lacking sales.
+Mike Spottiswood Great feedback. Since we don't sell products and just report on them, feedback like this is very important and respected. Thanks for watching SkiGearTV.
It was my pleasure to relay my personal feelings and reasonable beliefs when it comes to fat bike configurations. Many bike companies are jumping on the bandwagon, but they're not producing true fat bikes. They're producing affordable facsimiles of fat bikes, which are also fun to ride, but lack a true fat bike feel overall.
@@brudgerfrudger2174 is not for Idiots because is awesome to Ride even ein Extreme conditions as mood ,snow, Sand. Obviously for this brand is not cheap but as all the common bikes it has TechSpecs and components perfectly Engineered
