Never thought I’d ever see the Cross Bronx so empty during daytime. I fondly remember taking 35 minutes to drive from exit 63 on the LIE then take 40 minutes at times to get from the Throggs Neck bridge to Jerome Ave!
This highway could look a whole lot different soon if the proposed capping projects get built. It would build parks over the highway, turning it into a big tunnel.

Was this trip during the pandemic? The Cross Bronx is never that empty. Normally a horror show.
Yup in April 2020
Obviously, since the radio was talking about testing, remote learning, etc
No. It was during the zombie apocalypse. Thankfully that’s over now. Stores were sold out of flamethrowers and shotguns, but that’s over now.
Free driving for free citizens!
take 30 mins to drive the Cross Bronx Expressway. and this from someone who can't drive
Horrible signage that is not per current MUTCD.
