Have a 2011 MBP 15. Upgraded to SSD a few years ago and was working great. The original battery swelled up and I got a replacement on Amazon. For some reason, the computer just was running super slow.
I tried many things, even completely wiping the hard drive. Someone suggested that maybe theres something incompatible with the battery because MacOS just shows that kernel_task is always taking up 100% of CPU.
Was about to recycle this, but gave the battery one last shot and long and behold, this machine is running like new! If youre looking to replace a battery on a 2011 Macbook Pro 15, this one works perfectly!
This a1382 battery works well and hasn't given me any problems so far. Runs for a good bit too before needing to recharge it. After clearing SMC and rebooting the battery came 80% charged, much longer than my aged original battery. Very happy so far!
I have had my mbp for almost 9 years now. It has the original battery that was not holding a charge at all. So I always had it plugged in. I replaced the original battery with this product and now, I have about 2 hour of use time.
I use it for normal surfing, e.g. youtube, listening to music, and word documents. It has worked very well and I have not experienced any sudden power loss or anything like it.
Installation was much easier too.
Pleased with the product. The battery fit perfectly. I was delighted to discover that it shipped with the tools to install.

It will fit a late 2011 MacBook pro. There is however, one corner that is slightly off so you'll need to put slight pressure on it to get it to fit.
I loved how this battery had the required screwdrivers included in the package to make the replacement process a breeze! The battery was packaged nicely in an anti-static seal bag and was very easy to install!
The charge is holding so well and my 2012 Macbook Pro now feels like newer+better with the ram and battery upgrade! I can now enjoy walking around the house with my laptop unplugged from the wall-charger.

This is a good quality battery that I purchased on the basis of its strong ratings. The package did not include any installation instructions or literature at all.
I didn’t need instructions as I have done this job before, but it could be a problem for others, but there was also no contact information for the company should I have a problem or warranty issue.
