    for info, fruit season in borneo starts end of october until month of december. A lot of tropical fruits can be found including terap, durian, rambutan, mango, kuini, pruntan, buah mawang, langsat...

    The mamey sapote must be scratched lightly around the area surrounding the stem. If the scratch revels a deep red color it’s good. If it’s a light orange it’s not ready to pick. It’s simple.

    I’ve had mamey sapote! It’s so good!
    I’m sure you probably aren’t familiar with sweet potato pie (I’m from USA; it’s very popular in the south and in African-American culture), but it tastes just like sweet potato pie, without the crust, of course.
    Edited to add: I have a couple in my ‘fridge right now!

    personally I prefer orange yellow durio graveolen than red one, its much more tastier. I agree with you this is the best durian.

    Thank you for showing fruits that I and many are not familiar with. In the Philippines where I’m from though it’s tropical you can’t find some of these exotic fruits I hope they can be grown there. Someone should introduce and plant them.

      If I’m not wrong, what they were referring to is the texture rather than taste.........smooth, thick and on the dry side yet still unmistakably a durian😋😊

    Wow how I wish I could have some of those fruits 😋😋😋😋I love fruits I missed the tropical fruits.....here in US it's all the same fruits every time you go to supermarket. Apple,oranges,banana,pineapple,etc but hardly you will find a tropical fruits in the market. I love you guys Videos.

    if it is ripe, it has cracked outside. and very smelly. go to DAVAO..you will find the Durian capital of the Philippines. The best durian here in Philippines.have fun guys. i love what you are doing.

    What was the fruit second to last, right before the mango-sounded like you said “anonney?”
    Also, what kind of durian was the red one? I can’t find durian graviola online-just comes up as regular graviola (soursop) when I type in “durian graviola.”

    That brown fruit we called it CHICO. it isn't rotten. its ripe already. and we are eating that with that kind of texture.
    Here in Philippines...it is also seasonal. you can go to Seaside Market, near Mall Of Asia.
    You go to Mahogany in Tagaytay, plenty of Fruits.

    You two keep reminding me of scenes from the movie Into the Wild. The couple on the Colorado river and the part where he is eating the apple with deep appreciation. I'm on quest to learn herbs and food lately and my exploration brought me here where I learn about durian for first time so thank you!

    The red meat durian is growing wild in jungle only, one of the best durian, and only can find in sabah, Malaysia.

    Oh my gosh I've been waiting for you guys to upload about Borneo!!! That one fruit sounds really interesting! I have no idea how to spell it Mame Zapate?? The way it was described sounds really cool! I keep thinking oh this fruit is the coolest one I've seen yet and then I see a new one and I'm like NO this is definitely the coolest! The Tarak(?) am I correct takes the cake! The way you can just peel it open with your fingers like that is so awesome! It looks all smushie and sticky I love it! Good luck with your travels and hmmm I wonder where you could be going next???

Had them multiple times....and they taste like a cooked sweet potatoe with brown sugar and roasted marshmallows on top!☺ I actually just got a mamey sapote tree from ( fast-growing-trees.com ) and can't wait for it to produce!! If your ever in s florida you should REALLY try it! Or go to miamifruit.org and ship it to your front door in 2 days! (They have NEVER sent me bad fruit)

    Red fresh durian is tasteless,but still good..stir fried red durian with a pinch of salt is heaven.. i promise..you guys should give it a try 😘

      Boarbot games 78 from what I understand, buying certain tropical fruits outside of their native regions is a bad idea. We had dragon fruit for the first time not long ago and concluded that we needed to be in SE Asia to truly enjoy it. 🤷‍♀️
