Indeed. They've had one job - for years. Let's see if they're even interested in breaking their stupid streak.
They must combine the characteristics of 3 & 4. They must choose the best maps from those games and create 4-5 new maps. That's all! Why it's so difficult to realise that and make it happen. OMG!!!
Imagine if they completely revamped every great map from 2, 3, 4. Left stupid Battle Royale out and just brought in a new extensive list of guns, new maps, and good graphics. Not over saturated Red and Blue colors like 2042. If they don’t do it this time I’m done with Battlefield totally. It’s not that hard!
Turn everyone into chicks and make it gay.
I think for me, as a BF vet starting with BC2. What attracted me to the franchise was the game's atmosphere and how it always brought an immersive "real-ish military warfare sim" vibe to it. I *loved* BF3 & 4 for that. The BF3 Fault Line gameplay trailer in Iraq is the best example of that.
Now it's all about skins, dressing as Santa during Christmas, Jack The Ripper in October, having a gold or neon pink gun. It's stupid, the game has lost it's "seriousness" as a military sim and I will never forgive EA for it, trying to copy and mirror Fortnite's success. If I *had* to compromise and find a middle ground here. If they did still do a live-service model for the next Battlefield, but 100% brought back that all-serious military sim feeling like BF3/4. I'd play the f*** out of it and probably love it.
But something tells me it'll still be the same old 2042 playful / fortnite / non-serious vibes it now carries 😔

I had a dream last night where Battlefield VI came out and it was set in WW2 and it was one of the coolest games I'd ever played. It had the vibes of BF1 but more cinematic and apocalyptic, with us fighting through ruined, burning cities with massive teams. The map looked like a mix of Devastation and Verdun Heights, with next gen graphics that made it feel like hell on earth. And then I woke up sad, knowing a game like that could never exist.
Yaasssss!!! WW2 is my favorite setting of any FPS time period. That would be killer. Thanks for watching!

You could be right homie, that dude loved makin videos though, you could hear it in his voice. . I’ve talked to allot of people in the content creation realm, when games go south in a major way. . I have no confidence that dice even can remaster 4, 3 or bc2. Rememeber the dice now is not the dice of old, most of the ppl who made 3 and 4 are gone now and for sure everyone who made bc2 (the best bf imo) are long gone. Do u really think the moden dice can remake the old games again? Cause I sure dont, nor do u really want them to do. All they will do is put a stain on those old legendary games.

They really don't have to reinvent the wheel for the next BF game. Take the formula for BF 3 & 4, mix it with the visuals of BF I & V; and update it to add more modern features and more customization and you'd be good to go. Add a more detailed gun customization and character customization and bring back the classic destructive maps and all-out-war feel with a good balance of open areas, CQB, and detailed rooms/buildings. Get rid of the unnecessary weather events like tornadoes, no specialists; no wingsuits, no grappling hooks or gun skins with poka-dots on it; no futuristic nonsense. Just an average joe recruited in a modern war that you can customize the way you want them to look like (as in, how any soldier would look like in a life or death war, not running around as Nicki Manaj or a head that is a skull with flames coming out of it.)
BF I & V were/are stunning games visually, the movement in the game was great; I like how the characters would stumble on certain slopes and your guns and clothes would get muddy or snowy or sandy depending on the map; it made it more immersive and had a great atmosphere and felt like a war game. Add that to the foundation of their best selling BF games and it will be a hit.
Battlefield 3 was great, I hadn’t kept up with BF since the WW1 game but man it’s truly a shame what it’s become.

For a franchise like BF to have a comeback, the publishers and shareholders need to do two things:
1) Lay the fck off of the devs and let them do their magic.
2) Get rid of the woke people and money mongers to have an excuse to hire them based on pulse and not on talent.
Only then there MIGHT be a chance for such a title to redeem itself, and the same goes for the rest of the AAA/AAAA. Otherwise, it's selling the IP to a different company.
A good game doesn't need to be Battle Royal and have live service to succeed, even in today's standards. A good old-fashioned game can succeed if they put an effort in actually make it a game and not look at it like a piggy bank.

Either just a BF3/BF4 remaster or the first big BF Vietnam, with the same passion and atmosphere of BF1.
With all the cheaters and shit lobbies I have been dealing with in MW3/Warzone I jumped back over to 2042 and actually find it very refreshing. I feel like the gameplay feels more fluid and the new Frontlines mode has an awesome push/pull feel and each game is super unique. Its honestly better than I expected. I wouldn't sleep on it.

I go to next title with no expectations. If it actually delivers, i'll buy it. But i won't be the first ones this time. 2042 had extremely high potential in my opinion but it was bland, cringe and had laser guns. The futuristic setting gave the game freedom. They wasted it. I think that setting was actually better than modern one.

Bro… you’re worried about a game studio that only puts out incomplete games and then takes years to fix said game. Just in time for the next incomplete game to come out. Just look at what EA did to Command and Conquer and you'll understand what they are doing to Battlefield. Battlefield 1 was (and probably will be) the last good game of the franchise.

I would love them to go back to the WW1 eras. For me, they were the best Battlefield games. They were not just good gameplay but graphics and visuals were beautiful. Even the HUD looked better, I did not like the HUD neon colouring in 2042

Yesterday, a new BF2042 roadmap came out; no more new seasons but new events will continue, along with bug fixes and QoL updates
Also next entry should be a remaster of BF2, a Bad Company duology remaster, or BF3 remaster

The series need to go back to BFBC2 or even BF2 roots. Slow down and establish some kind of squad play. But this won't happen, people will get chaotic COD-like experience with heavy emphasis on movement.
And by the way if people think that Dice will listen to the recent survey and won't make a free to play battle royal or extraction mode, they will. And main modes will suffer because of it.

Honestly they did a better job at making modern based games like Bf3 and and Bf4. Just give us a modern based game with a decent campaign and multiplayer. Or just remaster Bf3 and Bf4.

Bro they just lost the feel of the game. BC2, BF3 had unreal gameplay. It flowed, it felt immersive, it felt realistic. i did enjoy BF4, it was still great, but thats where the crack slightly began. A lot of people loved battlefield 1 and 5, and the concept was good, but everything became watered down with the gameplay, feeling suspiciously more like call of duty.
They want the Arcady shooter CoD feel even more now because like you said, it's money. And the sad thing is i can't even argue with it, because they are a company and their aim is making cash 😂 we'll see, but as gutted as it sounds, i think battlefield will never go back to a great experience
Understand completely where you are coming from, and you may be right. I hope for both our sakes, and the communities sake, they deliver a solid game next year. I love BF4. . But I’m not sure I can play these old games another 3 years lol like for realz

@SteviusGaming just came back to it from the sale on steam and the ea app . I can never get tired of this game . Then you add the fact that I get to play it at its ultra settings on pc and it's high fps. I'm good on new fps's tbh🤣
