- I spent a night in a self-made survival shelter in 50 cm of snow!
After hiking through a blizzard, I found the perfect spot in the forest under some spruce and birch trees. I made a natural shelter from spruce boughs, built a campfire and cooked a delicious rice meal in the evening and some ready-to-eat porridge in the morning.
The video was filmed with GoPro Hero 9.

Wow...most beautiful ! The way the shelter and the snow wall was built is very inventive and effective ! Thank you for presenting this video.
Thank you!
This is one of the better bushcraft overnight shelter builds! Small , cozy and SIMPLE! And he stopped to find shelter BEFORE the storm hit! ( I always slap my forehead when a guy waits to build a shelter in the middle of a storm, and looks for firewood after it gets dark!) 😮
Thank you!
I love your cozy little camp.

This was a great shelter - it looked very warm! Great job- keep it up!😃
I really enjoyed this video😍😍😍
I have no idea how warm it was in the little shelter, but it certainly looked cozy. Nice build and you looked like you totally enjoyed the experience. Thumbs Up!
Thank you! I appreciate it!
You do this, to show yourself you can be a survivalist.....
Partly, yes. And partly because the forest calls. And when it does you must answer. To feel a little more alive once more.
So beautiful 😊🎉
🥰🥰❤❤😍😍

We get it, it’s deep lol
I was just amazed that it was so consistently deep everywhere. Even in the forest.
I love watching your video's but there's no way in hell i'd walk over ice of a lake again.. lol fell through once...lol keep doing whats your doing bro
Thanks 👍
Great video. But, are you really using the sharp side of the blade too start fire?
Thank you! Yes, I was using the sharp side. The other side is a bit too blunt for that. Afterwards I just sharpen the knife again, and it’s as good as new.
curious, do you take any bear spray or a gun with you?
the thought of being caught defenseless terrifies me when i hike
I had a means of protecting myself, yes. I believe it is always necessary when going into the wild. You can never really know what you might encounter. Or what might encounter you.
Bears are all hibernating in winter. Now wolves and mountain lions are another story!
Since just about everyone knows how to use an axe and a saw, I always wondered why so much time in these videos is taken up cutting firewood?
I know it seems odd, but the reason behind that is just that - it really does take a lot of time cutting the logs and preparing firewood for the night. It must be shown so that people know that preparing firewood, alongside building stuff, IS a significant aspect of survival. Definitely not something that should be overlooked. I have, however, invested in a 50cm/ 19.7in long foldable saw - that should make things much easier - and faster, too.
Pourquoi tu massacre les petits arbres ? C'est pas bien
Pero destruye arboles jovenes. !!?
Wow, this guy is a true wilderness expert! I'm in awe of his survival skills and knowledge. Definitely someone to learn from if you ever find yourself in the great outdoors. 🦾
Thanks! I’m glad it’s been useful!
