Nice, you get the best of both worlds. It’s basically a single flow exhaust now but that’s the direction you were going any way. And the dual exhaust DEFINITELY looks better. Way better.
@@InlineSixAuto yes, but not to the point where you can't talk to the person next to you, and it's a single exit not dual so that helps. I don't know about you but most of the time my radio is off, and I just listen to the exhaust Cuz I like the sound.
Man the car is clean AF, mine is all black, 16s bmw 360 wheels painted black, and a muffler delete. I don’t quite get what you’re doing the drone is not bad IMO and I’ll be soon deleting the resonator and replacing it with a bottle resonator, buuut IDK! I’m partial to the laptorr exhaust
Thanks! And It’s cause the dual exhaust 335i style set up I have has very bad drone. When I just had the single exit muffler and resonator delete, the drone wasn’t bad and it sounded perfect imo. I still might go back to that set up. Deleting your resonator will make it sound very aggressive
@@jozefvelez8458 I'm not exactly sure but it was adding the second pipe for the second exit that directly caused the drone to increase significantly and become unbearable at times. I guess since the sound waves were moving differently in some way in the the added space. But I ended up installing a magnaflow muffler after this video and that helped alot with decreasing the drone. But the car doesnt sound as a aggressive. I also put the stock resonator back on to help more with the drone. I don't care about this car being loud anymore. I just want a nice rumble and little drone which it has now.
@@InlineSixAuto 👌 awesome, I'm an engineering student and am very interested in that idea, so I'll try and do some looking into it and figure out why it drones and figure a solution! If I can get the aggressive tone, no drone, and some nice rasp in the high end aswell I'm happy
Ended up fitting a magnaflow muffler with single in, dual out set up where the Y pipe was so now both exits are functioning and the drone is not as bad.

I have a 2010 325i E90 with stock exhaust. I am thinking of deleting only the muffler, and doing this dual exhaust conversion. Will the latter cause droning? (Btw I've been watching a couple of your videos and they've been really good. Thanks very much!)

This is probably the best set up if you want to do the dual conversion and not have significant drone. A muffler delete will still have pretty bad drone. Having some sort of muffler helps a lot with the drone.

I honestly don't see how you could secure just a tip there. But you could always ask since the people at the shop usually have a lot of experience with all sorts of modifications!
If you do find a way to do that feel free to let us know! pretty sure a lot of people would interested to know if that's possible, instead of doing what I did.
I actually tried that first but I was told there is not enough room for two tips on the far right side because the battery space is blocking it. And it makes sense when you look at the spot. I don't know how some people have found a way to do it.
Well back when I still had single exit before this conversion, I had a muffler and resonator delete. I had them done at different times. Muffler delete was $160 at one shop and resonator delete was $200 at a different shop so $360 in total for me. If you get them Both done at the same time, it’ll probably be like around $200-$250 depending on the shop you take yours to and their labor rates.
I think it may vary depending on your specific BMW. Some have loud drone, some don't. But I would assume youd have loud drone. If don't want your car loud, I wouldn't do it.

I spoke with someone who did the dual conversion on his E92 and he said it wasnt bad at all compared to how i described it in my videos. So it may not be as bad. If its bad you could do what I did in this video to quiet it a bit

I decided to make my 530i louder so i got muffler, resonator, and secondary cat delete. not the smartest option but aye, it sounds good to me lol.

I almost feel that a quarter wave resonator would help aswell

Change the boot floor for a 335 so u can fit a back box and have both exhaust functioning

A J-Pipe mod would help a lot too! I did it on my 335i helped a lot!
