I liked this album a lot. Honestly ghostface always been my favorite and he rarely disappoints but funny you mention that bustah album cuz when I saw all the features I was worried for a minute this one might lean that way. While I did like the first half better in general, I rock with the second part too. I like how he approached the project and I feel like this ones gonna get a lot of replay value for me ( I still play that ghostdini album too for what its worth💯)
That Ghostdeini had some joints on there. Maybe some of the second half will grow on me..but I do know it didn’t sound as bad as the Busta or that Lobby Boyz project when they tried to do it lol.
This is was a solid project. I give it a strong 4. Not a classic but a dope album. It's like a combination between Ghostdini the Wizard of Poetry and the Pretty Toney album. I think the direction was intentional because he wanted to do something that catered to his old fans, todays hip hop fans and his female fan base; which he's had since day one.
This is a good analogy. it does have a little bit of that pretty tony vibe mixed with the ghostdini. I'm with a solid 4 mics all day. Nothing earth shattering but plenty on here that I'll be banging for the foreseeable future
Great review as always G. I’m a huge Ghost fan and I agree the first half is definitely miles better than the second part. Which is a little bit of a disappointment since I usually like his R&B type joints a lot, but a lot of those type of joints he had on the second half of the album weren’t really that great vibe we usually get from him on those type of records. Though I will say a few of those ones did lean more into a pop and/or radio type sound that I wasn’t really feeling. My favorite tracks are the same except that I would swipe Scar Tissue for YUPP! I can’t stand that one, but love Scar Tissue a lot. Which I’m surprised you didn’t like the instrumental for and I’m going to say you are nitpicking at cause it has that perfect triumphantly cinematic feel of that fits their verse’s like a 🧤 That joint with Meth is really dope and I agree he was definitely the MVP of. He had a great feature on Conway’s album too. Which I’m assuming we are going to get a review on soon too, right?
Yeah, I love R&B. But those tracks aren't R&B. They're lacking soul, they're pop. Spice 1's new album on the other hand, that had some actual R&B, hip-hop soul. Check it out if you haven't already!
Thanks G. I don’t know I still can’t really get into that beat, but I will say it grew on me more when listening to it on the album than it did as a single.
My brother completely agrees on the instrumental to the Nas collaboration. I like it but I get you both. A track with those two should've had a harder beat.
Album was OK. My issue with the R&B songs which make a large portion of the 2nd half of the album... These songs sound dated like the type of radio songs you'd hear in the late 00's early 10's... that Akon, T Pain era.
Yeah. They're not even R&B. They're pop. 2010s didn't know what R&B was. If these had been actual R&B songs, hip-hop soul, I think we'd all love it. I Ain't Mad At Ya comes to mind. Or more recent, Yesterday from the new Spice 1 album. Soulful.
I think that was the best review I've ever seen from you. I see it almost the same 99%, great job. The track with Nas is one of the strongest for me, the one with Kanye, for me it doesn't fit the beat. I was posetive surprised by the lines of Joey Crack!!!!📾
Thumbs Down for me...Disappointing for Ghostface Standards...Production was LACKING...Auto-tune was Never my cup of tea either...I like 6 outta the 16 songs on here...Sorry but I give this album the Middle Finger!!!
3 mics is really fair G. Yeah I wasn’t trying to hate on the concept for the second part but some of those joints weren’t it lol. That AZ track was a good r&b joint though.
Thx for the heads up .. dl after the review.. just shock he don’t have his own label. I see supreme as his most polished album , like nas it was written, I think ghost has it lyrically to make a classic album still yet I don’t think a supreme 2 will rival the first . Just like if it was a it was written 2 . I think he should just leave it alone like nas did and just make great albums after supreme
But Nas made a sequel to illmatic and multiple follow ups in both the King's Disease and Magic series and the vast majority of those albums are all great.
This is what we have to understand this is more of a mixtape but it sounded great to me you know yeah I could have done without some of the low budget r&b guys and a production wasn't all that good I like the production from ghostface Killers CD what I like this but I believe this is just like a mixtape he was just experimenting which is okay but I believe supreme clientele is going to be the return of the production we all are looking for at least I hope so cuz I know lyrically it's going to be top-notch it's just the production and and the concept I like to r&b stuff but I can do with just two r&b tracks and the rest ghostface grimy tracks
I like the album I know lot hardcore fans might cuz the rose side of the album all r&b joints but them joints is good all they can be played on the radio

Nas shouldn’t have let this one fly on Mass Appeal. Just drop that Supreme Clientele. This album was weak. Period. Only a few good tracks. Ghost sounded like he lost his voice a bit on some tracks, seemed rushed like it was made after he got off stage.
I enjoyed the album. I won't crack my top 5 by him but it was decent and fun. I'm really looking forward to Supreme Clientele 2. This album is an appetizer to hold me over until then.
This album is okay his lyrics never fell off it’s just those beats I don’t get it with Nas neither the flows are always razor sharp it’s just those beats they need to holler at PROJECT STRUM he’s literally the closest to that early WU 36 chambers style word up
Man, it started so well, those first two tracks were disgustingly dope, but there was a trio of trash tracks towards the end. Touch You, Shots and Trap Phone. That shit isn't R&B, that's pop. And it really killed the album for me. It's an okay album overall but y'all need to listen to the new Spice 1. Much better.
@@TheMicklachey I'll say this....The second half wasn't what i really wanted to hear from Ghost in 2024, but I've heard worse when Busta rhymes tried it...also I know there are some R&B heads who might like it. I just know some of it wasn't for me. lol

Good review bro. Ghost is in my top 5 of all time. He hasn’t lost it at all pause and still sounds hungry. All the Wu cats been sounding hungry especially ghost and meth. I think the first half is dope. The second half is cool but he should have saved that for a separate r&b project like ghostdini. If the second half continued in the same fashion and was cohesive with the first half it would have been a lot better. But all around a great return to form album for Tony Starks. Looking forward to see what he’s cooking with SC 2 and Purple Tape 3 with the chef. You heard the new Conway? You gonna review it? I think it’s dope.
It’s not the gutter type of sound we had heard on Wu Remedy, and this isn’t the type of Supreme Clientele 2 type of energy I was expecting but I did catch a nice vibe to the Roses side of the album. GFK can really do his thing as a dart master pushing gangsta love letters
I’m a big Ghost fan, when I initially saw the track titles and all the features I knew I wouldn’t dig this album. I was right this album is trash in my opinion. The soundscapes on this record are not that good. I understand that Ghost went out and recruited some unknown cats to do some of the production, but this was a miss for me. Weak production mixed with tons of unnecessary features.
@@TheMicklachey Right! I respect Ghost for trying to bring some spotlight to some of these up and coming producers, but these cats he choose are not it, well at least with these type of beats.
You're not a Ghost fan. You're a fan of Ghost with Wu Tang Production. You probably like Cuban Linx, Iron Man and Supreme Clientele. You don't like when he does his R&B shit. Ghost has established himself outside of that Rza sound.

This is album reminds of me of Ghostdini a lot. He always wanted to do music like that he said because of his love of R&B music.
