This is going to be the new Hot Ones, but instead of celebrities melting their own faces while being thrown interview questions by a delightful host, we're going to get celebrities walking adorable dogs... while being thrown interview questions by a delightful host. I loved every second of this.
This format has as much potential as Hot Ones for getting unconventional answers in interviews, but with wholesomeness instead of shared pain. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Adam is one of my favorite people in the entire world. Although I never met or talked to him, I have a deep feeling of gratitude to the universe for be able to share time alive with him. He's such a good soul. Kind, energetic, super intelligent and a great communicator. Thank you for having him on the show.
I feel the same way. In existing on this planet, sharing space with people from sweet to jerky, it is nice to know there are properly cool people out there who are nice, smart, and respectable. I'm not this cool for sure😂
I used to think that way. Adam is a great maker, but a overrated”educator, science communicator” . I have been thru phases, idolising, doubting, envying, indifference, withdrawal, back to respect as a normal human
@@twitte0king I get you. We certainly shouldn't be over-obsessed with people. The thing is, most of the people I've me in my life were not as kind and respectful as Adam. And on top of that we have celebraties that are absolutely insane humans. It is nice to have a famous person who is genuine and kind for once. I am enjoying the time he exists on this planet. Many people just aren't like this, but mean and rude.
You consistently keep getting better. I look forward every day to your content. From "they're good dogs, Brent" to the 15/10s, the LGBTQ+ allies, to the dogs you showcase on Fridays, to your year end collections and now this. I love the peace and love you bring to the world. Thank you.
Finally able to sit down with a coffee and enjoy this video. As someone who said goodbye to their furry friend last year, it was so cathartic to hear the relationship between human and dog put into words in this interview. I certainly hope you are able to make more, and Maggie and Adam were the perfect start. Thank you!
Who knew this is exactly what I needed. A slow walk, conversation about dogs, and the background music was perfect. To watch someone wax poetic about their pet, and give a voice to them is fantastic. Giving a celebrity a chance to talk about something other than themselves, especially someone that is in their life 24/7.... so therapeutic. No wonder Adam enjoyed himself so immensely. I look forward to more! Subbed!
My son grew up on Mythbusters. He knew early on what he wanted to do. Coding, automation, building stuff that measures scientific experiments. (We joked when he was a child that I was 'Empirical Girl' and he was 'Question Everything Boy.' ) This past year, at 17, he started at the local university, beating out 20 other candidates, to start his 2 year apprenticeship and he has an enthusiastic mentor he admires and enjoys spending time with. He works with professors and post graduate students to maintain and create new equipment for classrooms and experimental labs. (Metrologist technical assistant) He's been so inspired by the professors and his mentor that he is now making plans to get a MSc. Thank you, Adam. And to keep it dog related, when my son was little he once declared, 'There are two universal truths. When a baby smiles at you, you smile back and when a dog stops on the street and asks for a pat, you greet it and pat it.' I don't think he was wrong.
How did I not know WeRateDogs has a channel?! This was so lovely to watch. It felt like two old friends going for a long walk and sharing deep personal stories. Thank you for this.
I have to say, Adam hit this right on the head with his description of making. Around 30 years ago I found out that the Commerce Department regarded physical encyclopaedias as manufacturing, but when the same information went out on a CD-ROM that was classified as a service. I thought that was idiocy of supreme degree and came up with my own primary economic sectors based on their relationship to entropy. 1. Making - when you're done, there's more "stuff." This is housing, manufacturing, artwork, software, all of it. 2. Fixing - car repairs, lawn mowing, anything that defeats entropy to preserve the "stuff" made by making. Preserves wealth. 3. Doing - the real service sector: walking the dog, serving food, distributing goods. This doesn't create or preserve "stuff," but it gives makers and fixers time to make and fix and distributes the wealth created by makers to doers. I'm working to start my own channel to talk about things like this, but thank you Adam for presenting "Making" so well!
I rang Adam up once back in the day when I worked retail, he was so nice, a real mensch and Maggie is so cute, Hi Maggie! I think Chris Evans and Dodger would be a good get, if you ever see his Buzzfeed interview, it's clear how deeply he loves dogs
I've always been a big fan of Adam Savage, and seeing this walking interview with him and Maggie, it was fantastic! You did a great job, questions were really good. Can't wait to see who's next? Norman Reedus, perhaps? ;)
I loved this video. I'm a huge WeRateDogs fan and a huge Adam Savage fan. What a great first episode. My suggestion for another episode: Will and Anne Wheaton and their dog Marlowe.
Adam and Maggie have the same facial hair and its adorable 🥰 That is 100% a compliment! I love finding similarities between humans and their pets, especially physical traits. Maggie is so stinkin' cute! I spent many years working at a grooming shop and became enamored with wire-coated breeds- they were fun to work on, as they dry quicker and they look cute scruffy or trimmed tight. I also noticed it was usually the wirey ones who seemed to have an attitude on the grooming table. 🤣
What a lovely show. Came across the video because it was shared via Tested. I certainly hope it continues and you can find other people to be a part of it. I'd recommend reaching out to Wil Wheaton. He and his wife are dog lovers as well.
Adam savage is one of my maker icons and its so great to see him interviewed this way and to get to see maggie. Just reaffirmed how much i like him as a person.
What a great idea! Seinfeld has his cars and coffee shops and you have dogs and important people. You know, this is the exact dog I always pictured tis guy having lol
What a terrific idea for a show... Matt and We Rate Dogs have done it again! You gave us a nice relaxed intimacy or peek into a celeb's personal life but you kept it light and funny! I love Adam Savage and his work from Myth Busters and how you threaded excerpts of his creative work into this episode. Great job!
Oh my, I love this new Dog Rates WeWalkDogs already. The last thing I do before bed - & to purge the ugliness of experiencing Twitter - is to read the most recent Dog Rates. It truly feeds my soul. I go to sleep smiling. WeWalkDogs clearly provides the same sweetness and wholesomeness. 🥰
I am so proud of you for doing this. What an amazing opportunity and success for you and your brand!!! I’d love to see more!! Dr. Mine has Bear (a Newfie) in New York and Zach from the TryGuys has a dog (Bowie, Aussie) but also has health issues!
TIL that when dogs roll onto their backs, they feel totally at ease with whomever they roll over in front of. As an animal shelter volunteer who occasionally has the dogs showing her their bellies, that's incredibly gratifying. Awesome presentation! Thanks so much!
I have a 90 pound female Anatolian Shepherd mix that we rescued and nursed back to health 3 months ago; she'll lean up against complete strangers, slowly slide to the ground, pinning their feet down, and roll onto her back in hopes of getting a belly rub. Unusually long-limbed and tall, she is the fastest dog at the dog park; people ask what she's crossed with, and I reply "cheetah, or antelope". I don't think she's made of flesh and bone, more like Slinkies and Flubber. Meanwhile, our large old male Anatolian (shown here) plods around in slo-mo like a lion, and only deigns to grace you with his presence if you have dog treats, or pizza....
This was raw and honest and beautiful and I loved it and Maggie looks JUST like my beautiful girl I lost at 14 a few years ago. DON'T YOU EVER GET SO BIG YOU CUT THE POOPING HAHA!!!!
That was a beautiful commentary and revelation, its why we love Adam and why we love dogs! Your conversation was awesome, so natural and insightful. Thank you 😊
I had no idea this existed until I saw it pop up on my feed, and now it may be one of my favorite things ever. Adam is just such a warm and well spoken and wholesome human, and seeing him wax poetic about dogs and his wonderful dog Maggie. Thank you, this is just delightful! And I agree, it is rude that bears are so friend-shaped but can't be our friends...
Loved this interview and have subscribed in the hopes of seeing more. Also, my dog Ketchup is not often a "watching the dog in the screen" dog, but he stopped and stared at Maggie every time she had a close up on screen. All relaxed body language, so I think he liked her. Very cute.
The sound of Adam Savage puttering around his shop helped keep me sane during the solitary months of Covid lockdown. Obviously Maggie is the bestest girl. #alldogsarebestdogs
This is the absolutely best content I've seen in a long time. I can so relate to the dog telling me it's nearing bedtime as my fur baby does the same. Thank you so much for this!!!
What a delightful interview & what a chill interview format. Adam appreciating the skill of the crew made me smile. He seems like a genuinely nice person. Loved it.
Wow. I have always enjoyed Adam's look on life. I bought the Maker mag he was featured in and realized that he, You Adam are a smrt guy. I have had dogs and cats all of my 56 yrs and have spent the last bunch with a border collie german shepherd Jezebel and then a red dobie Lucinda. I was gifted both dogs and after Jezebel past in 22, I had Lucy. Our dogs make us better humans. Who doesn't need unconditional love. Thank you for the source of joy we all need and cheers. Wooof
THIS IS FANTASTIC! I can’t wait for more episodes. I think you had a wonderful balance of focus between the interviewee and the dog. Don’t change a thing. 😍🤩
Just wow. really great job. I guess your channel showed up on my feed because I am a big fan of Adam, now I'm a big fan of Matt too! Can't wait to have a look at the rest of your content.
Adam LOVED this interview, and he's a HUGE FAN of We Rate Dogs (and now We Walk Dogs)! Thank you so much for including him!
it was our pleasure! he and Maggie were amazing 🤗
We have a new little golden and I love Adam's insight. This was a delight. Thanks all.
What a delightful 20 minutes well spent!
Adam and Maggie have the same facial hair. So stinking cute.
Do you know (or can you find out) what brand jacket Adam was wearing during this interview? I've been looking for a jacket like that. : )
This is going to be the new Hot Ones, but instead of celebrities melting their own faces while being thrown interview questions by a delightful host, we're going to get celebrities walking adorable dogs... while being thrown interview questions by a delightful host. I loved every second of this.
Yes! I love that idea. This certainly has that potential.
I just came to say this! Here’s why. Because just like suffering from spicy food is a universal state, so is walking a dog.
funny. That was my thoughts exactly, came to comments to read if someone said it. And someone did!
And it's surprisingly comforting
I want this to happen so much
This format has as much potential as Hot Ones for getting unconventional answers in interviews, but with wholesomeness instead of shared pain. I look forward to seeing more of your work!
I absolutely love that Adam made no fus of picking up Maggie's poop and was visibly surprised that someone would take it for him.
Adam was truly surprised and with the first poop, disposed of the bag himself.
This has potential to be the greatest series ever
This is the collab I didn't know I needed till now
Adam is one of my favorite people in the entire world.
Although I never met or talked to him, I have a deep feeling of gratitude to the universe for be able to share time alive with him.
He's such a good soul. Kind, energetic, super intelligent and a great communicator. Thank you for having him on the show.
You probably will if you go to a con
I feel the same way. In existing on this planet, sharing space with people from sweet to jerky, it is nice to know there are properly cool people out there who are nice, smart, and respectable. I'm not this cool for sure😂

I know for a fact that Chris Evans LOVES his dog Dodger and would have an amazing time spending the day talking about him.
Sometimes the Algorithm drops gold in my lap. First was Hot Ones series, now this. Instant subscribe and I sincerely hope this takes off

Please watch your language 🤗
I came for Adam, stayed for Maggie. I really hope this becomes a full series, very well done.
How did I not know WeRateDogs has a channel?!
This was so lovely to watch. It felt like two old friends going for a long walk and sharing deep personal stories.
Thank you for this.
MAKE THIS A FULL SERIES! Ingenious idea.
Adam Savage is a saint.
All dogs are maybe not equally intelligent but they are definitely 100% all equally good boys and good girls ❤
Brilliant - I may cry a little for each new video - if the rest of the owners love their dogs as much as Adam

Dogs are just the kindest thing in the world.
Adam is a profoundly loving man he’s always making his wife gifts and talking about how much he loves hos dog, family friends etc
Had a blast working on this

Does Norman have a dog? I thought he had cats.
Mike Rowe.
Walk Dinero with Sir Patrick Stewart!
This was beautiful. Thank you.
Adam Savage is someone I'd love to sit next to on a long overseas flight.
I love and admire Adam since I was a kid. What a great idea to start this with him and the beautiful Maggie
I love this idea

Adam Savage is one of my favorite creators on this earth, and this is now my favorite thing he’s done.
Bears are very friend shaped and I want to hug so bad 😩
I’m firmly convinced that Adam savage is our generations “Mr Rogers” or “Bob Ross”. A national treasure that I hope lasts for a long time to come
PLEASE continue with more of these. It is so amazing and beautiful and we all could use more happiness like this in our lives
Thank you for thanking him on behalf of all of us who grew up on mythbusters!!

not only did i not expect this show to be THAT good. i did not expect crying several time during this. absolutely amazing!

How is this getting me teary eyed this Monday morning 😭 dogs are just the best
Mike Rowe and Freddy next!
I absolutely love his view on dogs. I agree. I’m down to one dog out of three. I don’t know what I’ll do without her

That's a subscribe, with alerts, from me. Looking forward to future dog walks!
Love this! You should definitely walk with Simone Giertz and her dog Scraps

Great definition of "making". Love it.
That's a great point about bears being friend-shaped
Loved it! I know Whitney Cummings, Amanda Seyfried & Keisten Chenowith all have dogs they adore.
Wel that was super cute and very enjoyable to watch. Cant wait for the next episode
This episode had me equally smiling and tearing up. Wonderful interview! ❤

I love how you guys are just ambling along and Maggie is perfectly content at this pace. Definitely the opposite of a walk with my 3 year old cocker 😂
