The role of journalists is present the facts of a story without a sense of bias.
They seem to have lost that memo, because they’ve been sowing doubt, bias, misinformation and lies for decades and it has become more and more apparent in recent years. And now our country is in danger of losing its democracy. Thank the media for this.
No, part of journalism is giving context, sometimes historical, sometimes global, and communicating why the events happening matter. Just giving the facts is not enough.
Journalists are bought off by the lobbyists and sponsors these days

"Holding those in power to account is the essence of democracy", which means to require a person to explain or to accept responsibility for his or her actions, and those who hold power must be accountable to those who put them into such positions of power.

However, I think you know that the msm is indeed biased and it must be very upsetting to see the poll numbers favor a man you absolutely despise.

I'm not optimistic about the mainstream media's coverage of the 2024 presidential election. They're still treating Trump as a regular candidate, the way they did in 2016. Instead, they should call a fascist duck a fascist duck. It's vital for the future of this country.

Marty looks more like Harvey Keitel than Liev Shreiber, but the Washington Post is a reliable light against Trump's endless BS (and one of the few Bezos-related things I like!). We'll need it more than ever in '24!

Barbarahanley; you should read the constitution Sis. Especially Amendment 14, section 3. It states that ‘no person shall be be a Senator…….President, Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States or under any state…who have previously taken an oath….to support the constitution of the United States….shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same or given aid and comfort to the enemies thereof…’
If Trump is indicted on insurrection and his failed attempt to overthrow the government, he won’t be able to hold any official position except for the throne of his toilet. Mr. Lou Czar can rule all of Florida.
Here’s the truly hilarious part of this surreal picture. Trump can run for President bc the qualifications are so few. Be breathing, be a natural born citizen, be 35 and have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years. So, he could run like crazy but be disqualified bc of his coup d’etat. I’d pay good money to see his face/reaction when he wins but ultimately loses. 😂

False. They are award-winning, full of quality journalists who break stories, and when they are wrong, they correct the error. Among the top sources of news in the world.
