You can't really talk about things like weather when you're only there for a month, the summer is unbearable. No, it's not like going to some summer vacation and sweating, it's unbearable. It's safe, yes, but it's getting worse. Scammers, beggars, theft is rising. It is still much safer than in the west, but the influx of more and more people made it noticeably worse over the past few years. Prices are okay-ish, but it's not cheaper than any major European city anymore. If you want to live in nicer parts that aren't remote, 600-700 pounds a month is completely unattainable. Zero chance. Plus public transportation is almost non existent in 80% of the city, so you NEED a car - while parking is terrible, traffic is terrible. Business is going downhill here, talent is leaving and wages are declining more and more because of the influx from India. The only thing I agree with is convenience with apps like careem - but that comes at the cost of human rights and super cheap labor. I would only advise people to move here half of the year and only if you have a very successful business and lots of money in the bank. It is not a country to build up from 0 or come as an employee from the west. For vacation in winter its the best place on the planet though. This is coming from a person that has been living there for a few years now, with moving my company there from Germany.
Hi. There are so many networking opportunities in the UAE. I live 3 hours away in Tel Aviv. Just understand, the region is not full of jobs and new businesses. Plus, people are not hard to met and find new friends. As far as material and bling: not everyone is like this. There is are plenty of non-material people. But, yes. People here travel and work hard. They also party hard. Not everyone drinks. (I am one of them who does not.) But, I have no problem with those who do. Good luck.
Naa running at 5oC fog, as I just did in the UK is awesome, perfect weather to not overheat. However, I am popping into dubai on that way to thailand in a couple of weeks lol
The Middle East, not just the UAE, is hot in July and August. However, in the winter, it does not get that cold, expect at night. However, I like hot weather. So, the heat does not bother me.
"What people think about your personal brand" lol, oh you poor sweet child. Seriously who gives AF what people think about you. Your "personal brand" looool. Life's too short bro, do what you feel.
coz my personal brand is part of my business my friend. I agree with your sentiment but I thought it was worth mentioning as a lot of people rely on their brand for their income

How did you actually meet people/network?
Great place to live part of the year (winters) and pay maximum 9% corp tax.
for sure
Talk to me about the weather in the middle of August.
truee

The dumb thing Dubai did was copy the US way of planning cities, car centric, human hostile, no walking, bad public transport. Very very stupid.
Yeah the walkability and traffic are awful.
agreed

Good for "grinding" just means there's nothing to do lol. You could do the same in a cave with a starlink and live for free lol.
