Do you remember back in school doing problems where you had to make the most combinations of 3 items or something similar? The more items you add to it, the exponentially more complex it becomes. The Travelling Salesman problem uses 20 cities as a benchmark. The computer has to calculate every possible route, which goes into the quintillions. The equation is 20 factorial (represented by 20!(The exclamation mark is a math symbol)). I remember learning that back in the 90s, a computer would take over a billion years to process this problem, whereas computers today can do it in just a few thousand years. It's such a huge computational problem that it's perfect to benchmark the power of computers against, since most modern computers can process far too much in a single frame to assess it. This is also why a chatter joked that the Travelling Salesman question could beat Unicron, because he would be stunlocked solving it for years.
Rags saying the coldest place he’s ever been is 6 degrees F made me laugh as someone living in buffalo ny. I remember as a kid one February there wasn’t a day that was above 0 degrees, the entire month was in the negatives. One year it snowed on Easter too

Sometimes the snow doesn't melt completely away from the dense forest areas because the sunlight can't pass the branches and if it doesn't rain that much. 3:24:37 the issue with time travel is the time part. Same as the issue with teleportation is the part about travelling through space. Unless restricted, those are extremely powerful abilities. 90% of the time they aren't restricted and leave a ton of fairly obvious loopholes. Somehow, inventory abilities are more addressed than these are. I've seen cases where infinite storage abilities are used for combat by storing massive amounts of rock and dropping it on an enemy or storing bullets shot at you and then firing them back since their momentum is retained. I only know of Goblin Slayer and Wheel of Time as cases where portals are used as weapons. Only Wheel of Time was consistent on this property. Don't think I know of any cases where unrestricted time travel is treated with the weight it deserves. EDIT: Probably because the coherent time travel shows apply extreme restrictions on time travel. Like the first few episodes of Dark, where on one day every 30 years you can travel exactly 30 years backwards or forwards in time at random, or Continuum, where you have one device that transports a set of people to a specific date and the story revolves around them. When the time travel is highly specific on how it works, you don't need to deal with the wider implications.

It can be used for dramatic effect in a sort of "either die or this", not to be used in a "oh forgot right helmet", unless it was "and im now out here with 20 seconds to safe us all or die, guess ill do it".
I've been thinking about the ultimate battle of destiny, specifically the idea of the second round. I believe the rules stated that the contestants were brought to the infinity forest to fight it out. You also stated that ring outs in round one was considered a defeat for the one who left. To that end it should be considered a ring out if any time/dimensional traveler left the forest. To that end those unwilling to fight and capable of leaving should be considered a forfeit if they leave. To that end if anyone can damage Ultron so he has to flee the dimension to one of the others to exist in, or if the body is destroyed and becomes a ghostly entity, they that should also be considered a defeat. If these two rules are held then you wouldn't have most of the winers just one shotting the round 2 and 3 stages.
they used different rounds. First round is a ring-out. Second round was rather loose. It was unclear whether it was an infinite forest or not. No ring-outs. Third round has no ring-outs. You can leave the multiverse. It might make for an interesting format if the second stage has ring-outs and you can only time travel within that forest during its competition.

Concerning the Price vs Steve. I believe that the two contestants should be equalized as this. If Price were to be imported to Minecraft then he would be the same Player Character that anyone playing the game would be. In essence it would be another Steve. If Steve were moved to Price's world, then Steve would just be an extreme survivalist with a pocket dimension to hold supplies and materials. A Game Theory episode actually proved that Steve is conserved a superhuman in the world of Minecraft.

Hes not quite right about steve intrinsicly having knock back to his attacks. Mauller was right thats its a part of the physics of the universe, almost all hostile mobs have the same knock back effect when hitting steve. So its an aspect of how attacks work in minecraft and not an ability only steve possesses. Therefore if we are taking steve out of the minecraft universe i think we should treat his punches as a normal humans punches
people who think Superman beats Goku really dont understand how stupid DBZ characters are, or even characters from a lot of other fiction. Supermans always put up as the bar to measure others against when he's outclassed by so many other characters, especially in anime. Supermans most powerful feats carry him to the Buu saga, but he loses to several characters there, and once Dragon Ball Super starts Supermans not even in the conversation anymore. Goku in his base form at this point could 1 tap superman.
This debate has been settled by power scalers for a long time now, with only some arguments popping up again when something new is added to either canon. Superman loses to Goku in many incarnations but the main Superman at his max power and max potential beats Goku, no contest. That's just how broken comic book heroes are. There's a lot of nonsensical details in DC comics that make Superman broken in basically every continuity he's in. It's kinda like Link from Legend of Zelda. You can either take one version of him to put against someone else or you have to give him everything because that's what the lore states. There is no in-between and Superman is certainly in that ballpark of power scaling

From my understanding, the DC multiverse vastly dwarfs even the DBZ multiverse in size it's so ridiculously and unfathomably huge. Marvel made their multiverse just as massive as well. There's also the issue of constant retconning and multiverse shenanigans that apparently recent comics have defined all past continuity as vaguely canon. Not only that, but some of prime Superman's feats have shown him dealing with omnipotent beings by simply punching them even in a severely weakened state without a sun to power him up. Goku is far beyond most fictional characters in raw strength and power but he loses to pure, unrestricted hax of other characters from different fiction and overwhelming, power breaking entities like Superman, who's far beyond what can even be written about him because DC can't keep things consistent enough to define power sets. Goku is about growth through perseverance while Superman is perseverance through will. One is unstoppable and one is immovable when pitted against each other at their best. And if that's the case, how long does it take for one to get strong enough to move the immovable? It's why Goku loses in the end against Superman. Is it fair? Probably not but there's a reason why I mentioned that power scalers have tacitly acknowledged who's the true winner in that matchup

Do you remember back in school doing problems where you had to make the most combinations of 3 items or something similar? The more items you add to it, the exponentially more complex it becomes. The Travelling Salesman problem uses 20 cities as a benchmark. The computer has to calculate every possible route, which goes into the quintillions. The equation is 20 factorial (represented by 20!(The exclamation mark is a math symbol)).
I remember learning that back in the 90s, a computer would take over a billion years to process this problem, whereas computers today can do it in just a few thousand years. It's such a huge computational problem that it's perfect to benchmark the power of computers against, since most modern computers can process far too much in a single frame to assess it.
This is also why a chatter joked that the Travelling Salesman question could beat Unicron, because he would be stunlocked solving it for years.

Most pasta doesn't taste different enough to me to care too much about how it's shaped, so I just have a cupboard full of penne. They're big enough that I don't have to chase them on the plate, they're short enough that I don't need to cut or bite them off to eat them and if I want to they've got a hole I can scoop extra sauce into.

Unless restricted, those are extremely powerful abilities. 90% of the time they aren't restricted and leave a ton of fairly obvious loopholes.
Somehow, inventory abilities are more addressed than these are. I've seen cases where infinite storage abilities are used for combat by storing massive amounts of rock and dropping it on an enemy or storing bullets shot at you and then firing them back since their momentum is retained.
I only know of Goblin Slayer and Wheel of Time as cases where portals are used as weapons. Only Wheel of Time was consistent on this property.
Don't think I know of any cases where unrestricted time travel is treated with the weight it deserves.
EDIT: Probably because the coherent time travel shows apply extreme restrictions on time travel. Like the first few episodes of Dark, where on one day every 30 years you can travel exactly 30 years backwards or forwards in time at random, or Continuum, where you have one device that transports a set of people to a specific date and the story revolves around them. When the time travel is highly specific on how it works, you don't need to deal with the wider implications.

I've been thinking about the ultimate battle of destiny, specifically the idea of the second round. I believe the rules stated that the contestants were brought to the infinity forest to fight it out. You also stated that ring outs in round one was considered a defeat for the one who left. To that end it should be considered a ring out if any time/dimensional traveler left the forest. To that end those unwilling to fight and capable of leaving should be considered a forfeit if they leave. To that end if anyone can damage Ultron so he has to flee the dimension to one of the others to exist in, or if the body is destroyed and becomes a ghostly entity, they that should also be considered a defeat. If these two rules are held then you wouldn't have most of the winers just one shotting the round 2 and 3 stages.

Concerning the Price vs Steve. I believe that the two contestants should be equalized as this. If Price were to be imported to Minecraft then he would be the same Player Character that anyone playing the game would be. In essence it would be another Steve. If Steve were moved to Price's world, then Steve would just be an extreme survivalist with a pocket dimension to hold supplies and materials. A Game Theory episode actually proved that Steve is conserved a superhuman in the world of Minecraft.

I think my favorite GTA is still Vice City. Improvements and additions were made to the gameplay in later games, but I just had a ton of fun with that game and the Miami Vice aesthetic.

ngl, the more comic book fans talk about how a character is a living concept, can kill concepts, or pretty much anything about concepts, the more cringe I think comic books are.
It's what happens when what the character represents thematically gets memed so hard it becomes canon, e.g. some hack writer thinking it's hot shit to make Batman the literal God of Knowledge in some fuckass story.

@@An_Actual_Rat Eh depends on how you quantify his luck. I think his luck manages to randomly correct, both low and high "rolls" around him. So like on a D20, a 10 means the outcome is slightly normal, 1-9 the outcome is slightly negative with 11-20 being slightly good outcome.

Hes not quite right about steve intrinsicly having knock back to his attacks. Mauller was right thats its a part of the physics of the universe, almost all hostile mobs have the same knock back effect when hitting steve. So its an aspect of how attacks work in minecraft and not an ability only steve possesses. Therefore if we are taking steve out of the minecraft universe i think we should treat his punches as a normal humans punches

people who think Superman beats Goku really dont understand how stupid DBZ characters are, or even characters from a lot of other fiction. Supermans always put up as the bar to measure others against when he's outclassed by so many other characters, especially in anime.
Supermans most powerful feats carry him to the Buu saga, but he loses to several characters there, and once Dragon Ball Super starts Supermans not even in the conversation anymore. Goku in his base form at this point could 1 tap superman.
This debate has been settled by power scalers for a long time now, with only some arguments popping up again when something new is added to either canon. Superman loses to Goku in many incarnations but the main Superman at his max power and max potential beats Goku, no contest. That's just how broken comic book heroes are. There's a lot of nonsensical details in DC comics that make Superman broken in basically every continuity he's in. It's kinda like Link from Legend of Zelda. You can either take one version of him to put against someone else or you have to give him everything because that's what the lore states. There is no in-between and Superman is certainly in that ballpark of power scaling

Most of supermans strongest feats either listed by comic fans or found on lists of his strongest feats posted online are ironically not done by the main superman, but even those put Supes no where close to Goku. As I said its a simple matter of people not understanding how stupid busted Dragon ball is. I mean most people dont realize the DBZ universe is at least 5.5 universes in size, so dont realize any universal feat in dragon ball is actually multiversal.
Superbuu tore a hole between dimensions by shouting, Gahon Buu was tearing the fabric of reality apart by yelling and would have destroyed the universe had Vegito not stopped him, remember now thats a multiversal feat. Goku powering up to SSj3 could be felt multiple universes of distance away in a realm outside the living world.
Buu Saga DBZ characters are multiversal. Goku has powerd up 10's of millions of times since then.
funny enough Goku could be argued to be outerversal since after the Omni king deleted Future Trunks universe Goku was just hanging out in literal non existence uneffected.
@@redbearington3345 So the issue with all that comes from how screwed up the DC comic universe is. From my understanding, the DC multiverse vastly dwarfs even the DBZ multiverse in size it's so ridiculously and unfathomably huge. Marvel made their multiverse just as massive as well. There's also the issue of constant retconning and multiverse shenanigans that apparently recent comics have defined all past continuity as vaguely canon. Not only that, but some of prime Superman's feats have shown him dealing with omnipotent beings by simply punching them even in a severely weakened state without a sun to power him up. Goku is far beyond most fictional characters in raw strength and power but he loses to pure, unrestricted hax of other characters from different fiction and overwhelming, power breaking entities like Superman, who's far beyond what can even be written about him because DC can't keep things consistent enough to define power sets. He's just that broken

Goku is about growth through perseverance while Superman is perseverance through will. One is unstoppable and one is immovable when pitted against each other at their best. And if that's the case, how long does it take for one to get strong enough to move the immovable? It's why Goku loses in the end against Superman. Is it fair? Probably not but there's a reason why I mentioned that power scalers have tacitly acknowledged who's the true winner in that matchup
