Some other people claimed to see the plates and then later changed their story. Just Google it there's lots of shady stuff about it

A couple months ago, I was in a charismatic church, and the female pastor yelled really loud, "Oooooohhh! There's such a special announcing in here for healing! If you need healing in your body, come forward for your healing!" Then the same people who go forward every week flocked to the front. A few weeks later I sent a message to her asking who all got healing that Sunday. She did not respond and I got kicked out of the church for that and for asking other questions, being accused of causing division. It's a house of cards!

The Bethel delusion is extremely strong. I personally know people in Northern California who have been victimized by Bethel's powerless decrees and false prophecies, yet they remain firmly within the Bethelite camp. It's heart-wrenching.

How many others no one can say for certain, but Bethel never apologizes for their vain and blasphemous decrees, and they never repent, either.
Amen to that. My sister and her husband are in Roseville, CA and attend the offshoot of Bethel, Jesus Culture and they swallow the bologna whole. I tried to explain that the bethel schtick is pretty much witchcraft. All I got was an angry rant. So all I do now is pray for them.

Not useless! I invited different persons to come to church to witness Gods unusual work. One neighbor came and was given two gold teeth! She couldn’t believe it and went to her dentist to confirm. Another pastor saw the gold dust and wanted no part of it. Later I saw him at a pastors retreat. He had many others listening to his stories. When he went home he began to see supernatural healings in his church. My neighbor became a Christian. Because of those gold teeth. My sister Also a pastor would not believe it. We study the word, live holy lives, give generously to the poor and experience a supernatural God. My sister now claims God can do anything (within his character) he wants. I am wondering about Bethel Not producing feathers? Why not? When the miracles become the focus you are out of balance. Our devotion is to the Lord NOT THE MIRACLES. My wife saw feathers dropping in a small group of about 12. I have not seen that. This kind of supernatural occurrence is happening in many places. I know of at least one heresy bethel teaches but have found them to be orthodox in the key doctrines of Christianity.

It is sickening indeed and as I was reading what you had to say, a couple of particular passages came to me:
1. In Matthew 24:11, we're warned by our Lord Himself that many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
2. In the first few verses of 2 Peter 2, the apostle Peter declares that false prophets rose up among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them and bringing on themselves swift destruction and many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the Way of Truth will be blasphemed and in their greed, they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle and their destruction is not asleep.
Thank you Justin for having the courage to speak out. To a lost world on its way to hell. These people, who are many,make us all look WEIRD. I have first-hand experience in this. I attend a word of faith, Church in Grandville Michigan. There’s a lot of weirdness and a lot of emotion going on. here’s one example the pastor teaches everyone can be healed in this lifetime if they have enough faith. Three years ago, he fell off his bicycle and broke his ankle. Ever since then he’s been using a chair for all services. but he made it very clear to everyone. It had nothing to do with his ankle. The thing about charismatics is they don’t care. You can show them proof after proof after proof that they are involved in a false movement and they literally don’t care.
I was one for twenty years.
It literally took the Spirit of God to open my eyes as I was just sitting in a Sunday service one morning hearing a message I had heard numerous times before but this time I suddenly had the thought, “this is a false teaching”.
From there an avalanche of false teachings and practices came tumbling down.

I had a similar experience back in the early 80's and then really started noticing really weird stuff in the 90's. So I just prayed one day and ask the Lord to show me the truth. I'm so grateful for what the Lord has done and the opening of my eyes. I was saved in a Pentecostal church in the 70's.
I was saved in the Baptist Church in 1966 what eventually became a charismatic and was taught how to pray in tongues and I gave thousands of dollars to all the Ministries before UA-cam even started

Hubby really doesn't like to watch your content with me, he has never been in a strict church and you are a little much for him, though I keep you in the periphery so he hears and will one day be ready to accept that he is a sinner and needs God. Not sure there isn't a middle ground between extreme charasmania and 'strict'. I go to a church where we don't do any of this Bethel stuff but equally we aren't dressed in suits and we do believe Jesus does miracles today. And tbh I imagine Justin's church is loving and friendly also.

Please provide the scriptures which directly confirm your claim. Please understand that I am not saying youre claim is right or wrong.
However I know that Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are 3 separate/different entities whereby Christ specifically said Matthew 24:36 that ONLY His Father knows the day and hour of His return. Therefore Christ does not know the same things as the Father and therefore is not the same entity/person as God the Father

My sister and her husband love Bethel. They used to be alcoholics and now they're into Bethel for the "high" they get in the services. . They are looking to "feel" the Spirit. It's sad. God even gave her husband a dream and told him "everything you believe is a lie" and yet they continue to go to Redding. I hold my tongue when she tells me what a wonderful time she had. Our Church leadership went to Bethel for their Counselling Course and for meetings i guess.. I don't know as I did not pay attention, I was just mad knowing they were going.
I have a family member that went to Bethel...it's no use trying to talk to them. It has really caused a divide between us. All we can do is pray that GOD will open their eyes.
Bethel is fun. It is wild. Absurd behaviors are acceptable. Personally saw males necking, french kissing each others ears during worship. Heard stories of healing of decapitated persons. It was the exact story I heard in the mid 70’s at Melodyland Christian Center by Jim and Tammy Baker. Now the claim is their daughter did this healing. I remember at Vineyard Christian in Anaheim, Ca under John Wimber claim they would never die because they had ascended to higher levels of spirituality. Everyone of them have died and are buried.
People are overwhelmed by information, academia without finding joy. New age does not work. Positive thinking does not work. Being engulfed in a supportive community that will force joyful behaviors, allow any behaviors as long as your heart has peace can be energizing. It is fulfilling and fun. Problem is, there is no substance and it will not last unless one stays immersed in the deception.
Nothing new about this tactic. Saw it with any cults - Waco Texas, Children of God etc. Not much new about their false teachings. Their so-called brilliant ideas have been around for over a 100 years. People want a place vent, experience intense catharsis. A place to experiment with new behaviors, have a place where the can just let it all hang out without criticism.
There is something to be said about not being criticised. That is strongly lacking in conservative churches. We are all walking, tripping, stumbling through life. We all have traumas, disappointments. We all have pent up strong emotional feelings that pop up in out brhaviors. Sometimes we just have to ride the wave as we are being transformed. That I liked about Bethel. Sometimes we need to be reeled in. That is not happening at Bethel.
Met a middle aged very angry man. He and his family attended Bethel. They went for counseling. The male pastor/leader/counselor kept insisting to met with his wife alone. He did not like that but let it go. End result was wife filed for a divorce, married that pastor/counselor. His child was turned against him. His family is gone. He was not physically abusive nor unfaithful. Did provide at a modest level for his family. I have seen that pastor talk about the bio dad in a very unfavorful way FROM THE PULPIT. He degrades the bio dad but glorified himself on being a fabulous stepfather. This troubles me.

I have a friend. Who is an older man. He spends the majority of his time, when he isn't at, work just in prayer by himself, with his wife, or as a family. Or reading the word.
A few years ago when he was praying he looked down and there was this small feather in front of him. He didn't understand it. But out it in a bag and moved on. He now has many many that just randomly appear, when he is praying for things, etc. IDK what bethel has. But these are small very small. And various shapes and sizes. They are about the size of a finger or less.
They have no pets and are quite clean people. 😅 It just kind of happens to them. They don't make a crazy deal about it. But do keep them.
So I guess it kind of depends on what you believe or don't believe. I've held them before they were definitely feathers. The nature of them? Not sure.
Just fyi I have no clue about bethel. I just wrote it to say I have heard and seen, touched, and examined things like that.

oh, nothing new. Patricia King sold charismatic rest cushions with emerald green angel feathers she was personally given by an angel in her bedroom. I think it has been, lets see, 90-120 bucks each. Those people are pretty much....without a home right now. Whyever parts are appearing being crossed out, they arent when saved. So I truly think: NAR is the mess, aye? Dont throw the baby out with the water. There are sincere Christians who do not follow anything of Bill's, Kris' or Elijah List teachings, nevertheless experiencing conversions being GUIDED. Me, for example. So...dont declare Jesus being unexperiental because some dudes party in California running a Lightworker- New Age- oriented business concept.

Many years ago I was involved in a charismatic church that practiced slaying in the spirit, tongues, and holy laughter. I thought because I couldn’t do these things that something was wrong with me. I’m glad to say that since then, I found Justin Peters who showed me it’s false. I’m now part of a doctrinally sound church.
I have never seen anything in the bible about being slain in the spirit. I have said this to other pentecostals. Holy laughter is a new one to me. Tongues is in the bible. But it is a gift of the Spirit and not all receive the same gifts.

Been to Bethel. Felt it very strange that for the two weeks training nothing special happened. No healings. No miracles. Nothing. High quality musicianship. Clever teachings. That’s about it.
I believe in miracles, the gifts of the spirit and I don't believe any of that has ceased. But I have yet to come across a "charismatic" church that practices the gifts in a biblical manner, if they have any at all (which is usually not the case), and does not amend them with fake stuff. In my 40 years as a christian I have heard a few (2-3) prophecies that I deemed authentic, and none of them came from some bigshot on stage. Why would God visit churches that trample all across His word and turn His house into a den of thieves? It seems to me that modern "charismatics" are further away from true charismata than anyone else.

It’s not saying that there’s a rule saying gifts have ceased (though a few try to argue this) but that as we see in history, no one can honestly say “here’s a period of real biblical signs and wonders long after the apostles”. Usually we hear about actual miracles and sign gifts in individual stories usually to do with missionaries…which cessationists accept as possible btw. I have a feeling that once charismatics like you and cessationists actually make comparisons, you’ll eventually blend together because it really is the same belief but phrased differently.

Hey, Justin! I got a little zip lock bag of these feathers that seemingly appeared at my own church in Texas years ago in some services. They are nothing more than tiny dove feathers. Sometimes the lies that come from Bethel Church end up seeming repeated at other churches. Our pastor and members of the deliverance team seem to be huge fans of Bill Johnson, our pastor going to their church on occasion since his daughter lives close to Redding, CA.
Funny how the "gold dust", the "gem stones", and the "angel feathers" all have their origin in deception. People want a sign from God. They want something tangible. And these churches that continue to lie to provide this "proof" that God is working.

But I trust Jesus even more. He will call out those who seek him wholeheartily. He is faithful even when we are not. I confess that, and I believe it. I only would wish their awakening to the truth wouldnt be so harmful, devasasting and excrucial. Theres nothing more destructive to the heart than the recognition that you have been betrayed while your heart was upright. May God's mercy descend on those he long has chosen to hear his call.

unfortunately if you read Jude or 2 Peter you’ll find that it was prophesied that this would not be the case. Even Jesus said false prophets would come in his name and lead MANY astray. Even if you don’t believe, hopefully it gives you pause that not only has the warning come true but the specifics about future bad actors coming out of the church and taking advantage of the poor, claiming miracles, believing in really wacky stuff due to the futility of their minds, and being greedy and lustful have ALSO all come true.

Great video! Too bad they never replied to any questions. Seeing footage of these people talk about it is really eerie and concerning. If you're a kid or teen attending and have been indoctrinated into this world, I can see how younger ones might fall for it. But, the adults - they should know better. It's hard when you get sucked into this type of environment. There is cognitive dissonance. People need to grow stronger in their faith in the Word of God in order to see this for what it is. I was involved in a church like this as a teen and I am now very passionate about raising awareness of these things. Thank you for creating this type of content. It's not easy.
People know about this, but choose to ignore it and push it under the rug because Bethel has impacted their life in a major, positive way. They say things like yeah, there's a few people at bethel I dont agree with and continue on praising Bethel like its Heaven on earth. I've honestly never seen anything like it. I've recently become more charismatic, but nothing like bethel. More like a John Piper charasmatic, but what ive seen from Bethel reminds me of cult like behavior.

I left churches for singing those songs. Find a traditional church that sings hymns and preaches the Bible in an expository way, Scripture by Scripture in context. I have found such a church and love it.

A.) Angels are visiting Bethel Church, and because they are significantly larger than the average pigeon, they have become stuck in the ventilation shafts (no idea why, there is a functioning front door).

Our church gathering isn't very large, by some standards, but our building does have an HVAC system on the roof. And our music can sometimes be quite loud, including subwoofers that rattle things loose in the venting, from time to time. As such we too have experienced feathers falling from above. We don't keep ours either. Who would collect pigeon feathers after all?
