"These aren't pirates, they're just a bunch of black people," that had me rolling on the floor laughing
Its true though 😂
Another one of my favorite & hilarious episodes
Cartman being confused between the pirates and it backfiring is hilarious.
Definitely one of the very few episodes where Butters is openly going through with it.
I actually felt kind of bad for the pirates when they got massacred at the end. I know what they did was wrong, but like that one kid said, most of them only chose piracy as a last resort.
That line cut off your cock and feed it to a croc isn’t an exaggeration, they do horrible shit to people. I feel like no matter how tragic your backstory, once you start savagely slaughtering innocent people you kinda lose any bit of sympathy I had for you.
They are all pretty much violent killers in real life
@@Bitten420I mean, they still have the same reasons given in the show.
@@dodiswatchbobobo do they though?
@@ryman1933 Yeah. Unless the entire country of Somalia is just a hologram like Wakanda, I’m pretty sure they do.
11:25 fun little note, when Cartman says "Hard to Port!" Followed by "just make the boat go that way kinda" he was actually pointing Starboard (Port=Left, Starboard=Right)
I use the fact that port and left are both 4 letter words to remember which is which.
Also Port is Portuguese fortified wine, and Sherry is Spanish fortified wine. The nation and product both begin with the same letter.
@@ObsidianBehemoth I love your addition and agree completely :) I personally use the 4 letter Port as a quick shorthand, though didn't know the P/S regarding Portugal and Spain.
I just started working at a liquor store, so that may actually be a fun trivia after I double check it
He was actually correct. "Hard to" means to go the in opposite direction. I remember in "Titanic" they said "hard to starboard," but were trying to dodge the iceberg to the left.
UNLESS of course the movie got nautical lingo wrong...
🤓
@@frankjuggaloheathen1035 I've been looking into this, and it's more interesting and complicated than it would first appear. First off, not quite regarding "hard to __" what that meant was to max out the rudder in the stated direction.
On the Titanic, there were Two orders given, both Hard to Port and Hard to Starboard. The first order is the obvious one to point the ship away from the hazard. The second order in the opposite direction is to try and swing the back half of the ship away from the hazard so it doesn't broadsize them, because a ship that large will Drift when attempting a hard turn at speed.
Another interesting thing is the opposite direction point seems to come from is that Sail ships basically used inverted controls where you turned the helm opposite the direction you wanted to go. Most Steam ships of the time steered like cars, where you turn the wheel the direction you want to go. However, some kept the inverted steering style for a while because the Navy had only officially replaced their sail ships with steamers in 1890, and there was concern of confusion when dealing with people that were trained on sail boats.
TLDR; the movie Titanic did not make a mistake regarding this (unless it was to only show one of the two orders). However, with modern ships, they go where you turn, so Cartman would have been giving wrong directions (but may have been using the correct lingo for a sailing pirate ship)
Hardship and suffering forces you to be strong and resilient. Strength determination and grit come from enduring difficulties and strong men result from such struggles. Matt and Trey are truly aware of this and that’s why this episode is so brilliant.
Gordon Stoltski, the ginger kid who does the morning announcements, makes an appearance at the pirate meeting. Previously, he was one of Cartman's lieutenants in "Ginger Kids", and was later murdered in "Dances with Smurfs".
This episode shows that cartman could easily become a crime boss and also be successful in it.
He just has to not center his business on edible products, otherwise the colonel will not be happy.
@@Dreikoo Rule 2 of trafficking: Dont get high on you own supply
He was a couple of times, in the Tooth and KFC racket in the “The Tooth Fairy's Tats 2000”, and “Medicinal Fried Chicken” episodes. Plus he showed his manipulative side enough with his genocidal ginger separatist cult in the “Ginger Kids” episode.
Ah you cut my fave part
Kevin - “I have to sit middle cause I get motion sickness”
Cartman - “Kevin, god dam it”
He cut my fave part:
“I HATE IT HERE, I WANNA GO HOME!”
Obviously Carmen is ignorant about the world outside of his little bubble, but you'd think he would have at least had the foresight to look on Google and see that Somalia is nowhere near the Caribbean where many of the tales of the Great Age of Piracy take place in fantasy worlds.
Piracy is one of those things that storytelling has glamorized the hell out of. Pretty much nobody became a pirate because they thought that it was going to be an adventure. 😂
Exactly people who wanted adventure back then just became sailors for the military or explorers
Alot of pirates started out as privateers. Commissioned by governments at war to loot enemy vessels and funnel the money to the government.
12:17 so glad you appreciated the peg leg joke as much as I do. Maybe my all time favorite South Park moment. Just the idea of that guy going years on one leg only for Cartman to fix it in less then a minute kills me.
I really like that Cartman has more respect for Ike than for Kyle.
I think it's hilarious that one of the US naval ships requested a copy of this episode (I think before the DVD came out) and Matt and Trey delivered on that and more. It may have been a rumor - this was quite some time ago.
The weird thing to me about this episode is that everybody told Cartman it was a bad idea, Kyle talked about how Somalia is a dump, the one guy talked about how poor he was.... Butters and Ike we sold on emotions from some random dude and start feeling bad and guilty.... but Cartman's first day there he got them a fully stocked cruise ship, walkin around tossing people bags of booty.
The sociopath was literally about to flip Somalia into a successful criminal enterprise just to live out his pirate fantasy..... he was low-key was in the process of keeping his promise to all the kids he brought with them, and potentially could have lifted that entire country out of poverty (by questionable means) ... but Kyle had to stick is nose in it and be all self-righteously bigoted... again... and he got the entire village killed by trying to "help"
It kinda bugs me... ngl.. i feel like they should have let Cartman actually spend some time there and get things moving.
Its because kyle didnt want to involve his little brother in it, bro ike is just 5
@@gunbun1048 yeah, well maybe he should of thought about his brother before he started bragging about how smart he was.
@@Robby_C oh so you’re saying that Kyle should’ve been a psychic.
@@KanekiKen-lm1dl no. I’m saying that if he wasn’t so arrogant all the time then maybe Ike wouldn’t want to leave in the first place.
I also just find it ironic that all the people taking the moral credit at the end did so at the actual expense of the people they were being moral on behalf of.
@@Robby_C I’m pretty sure Kyle had nothing to do with Ike wanting to be a pirate. Also you said that Cartman was on his way to turn Somalia around, and that’s absolutely incorrect. The only people he helped are ruthless pirates who kidnap, rape, kill, and steal. Regular citizens were afraid of them. How can you condemn arrogance that tries to help people (Kyle), while praising arrogance that kills people (Cartman).
Black Beard was actually a hard-core violent pirate. So Cartmen would want to be him.
Cartman is pretty much a violent sociopath as it is. I’m sure he would make Black Beard say, “damn!” when it comes to his own wicked deeds.
Nooo you cut out the song! Cartman's ending always be cracking me up lol "SOMALIAN PIRATES.... weeeee"
10:05
…I only realised now that Cartman accepted Ike in his crew, despite the fact that Ike is Jew as well.
Yes, Ike is believing in Judaism and adapted in Jewish family.
Yet, Cartman is totally cool with Ike in his crew.
i dont remember him ever believing in judaism
I think Cartman takes more of an ethnic stance on Judaism than a religious one. Even if Ike is in a jewish family, as far a Cartman is concerned hes still just a Canadian.
@@Aiveq Jewish camp. But even there Ike makes macaroni picture of Last supper xD

It's funny how often South Park has been a solid decade ahead of its time
Dedication right there
I recommend Tonsil Trouble. It's one of my favorites and I don't think I've seen anyone react to it before.
Good episode. Though watchitwithbae has reacted to it before. Glad she's finally come back
I’d love to see him react to that one!! It’s one of my favorites as well.
Now that you said leprechaun i can only hear pirate cartman as irish. Just makes it more funny :D

@@DisfunktionalTVbro i want you to do the black friday trilogy next its one of my Favourite south Park episode
Cartman: Jews can’t be pirates
Also Cartman: Let’s Ike be a pirate
Ike is a Christian born Canadian, adopted**
Well, he is adopted
Goth Kids 3
YES
Ofc
One of my favorite episodes 😂😂
He needs to do Raisins, ungroundable and goth kids 3 dawn of the posers
UNGROUNDABLE
Wealth, Fame, Power. The man who had acquired everything in this world, the Pirate King, Eric D. Cartman. The final words that were said at his execution sent people to the seas. "My wealth and treasure? If you want it, I’ll let you have it! Look for it! I left it all at that place!”. Men now, chasing their dreams, head towards the Grand Line. The world now enters a Great Age of Pirates!
It’s worth noting in episodes after this, Ike has a pirate hat in his room.
Cartman could easily be a crime boss or politician. Just look at what he does in this episode.
When the realization set in for clyde and he just started balling i bout died.
I wish they used Kevin more as an active role through some episodes, he's such a geek.
The thing with Ike’s note is to do the trip they did it’s roughly 68 hours without interruption. That means no one noticed Ike or the other kids were missing for that long😂
"Why ya'll wanna come out here and be part of the struggle when you got it good" Man just summed up most of America's issue in one sentence.
I think Cartman was saying Kyle has a disability not because he can’t be a pirate but because he’s Jewish 🤣
So glad Tolkien didn’t join Cartman’s pirate crew. I get the feeling it wouldn’t have ended well for him at the end if he did. 😂
OH My god you're so right he'd end up being killed too
@@AlexisStreams Tolkien would’ve sensed danger, then jumped into cover or behind Cartman like the badass he is. Then again, Tolkien is also known as a smart kid like Kyle, knows what a horrible place Somalia is and would NEVER follow Cartman. But didn’t know Cartman would bring some gullible kids to join him.
@@eternus154 that first part is dark lol
as for the second part good point
kyle is so evil
Cartman: has kids parents killed and feed em to him, give kyle aids, everything else xD
@@arcadius3257is it evil to rid the world of evil?
Cartman has been shown to have an evil almost demonic side (Tsst), has actively been involved in killing innocent people for petty vengeance over a few dollars (Scott Tenerman must die), has tried to reempower the Third Reich (Passion of the Jew), and been recognized as so twisted and horrible nightmarish monsters would be afraid to meet him (Imagination Land)
Butters sunk a whole Cruise ship, about 3000 kill count in one Golf shot.
woah woah Cartman is a victim of circumstance

i❤️ your videos.
9:23. Kyle finally got revenge on Eric Cartman, that serves Eric right after All he ever done to Kyle before! But little did he know Kyle's (adopted) brother join Eric's Crew unfortunately so that's a backfired.
9:23 Too be fair, in Kyle's defense, this is Cartman. I'm surprised the amount of evil things that Cartman has gotten away with. Evil things that should've expelled him from school and tossed into prison. Plus, it wouldn't matter if Kyle had a hand in it. Cartman would've done it anyway.
Well, kids dont usually go to prison.
Always remember cartman got two people killed then fed their bodies to their son. Would you want that in your friend circle?
I love a ton of southpark episodes but this is easily my favorite one. It's just so smart and constantly funny from beginning to end. The pirate song was great too. And it had that touching moment too. Just perfect.
I’m pretty sure Cartman was talking about Kyle’s jewishness when he talked about ‘disability’
10,000,000 Euro equals

16:35 Good job Tolkien didn't go with them on this one. lol.
Love this episode, and another banger of a review.
If you haven't already, can you please review season 16's Going Native?
Great buddy episode with the unlikely pairing of Butters and Kenny, with Butters lashing out at Cartman and the others.
After Cartman leaves
Kyle: “Things are finally gonna be normal around here”
Not a chance 😂
The reason they ran away cause they are French. It’s joke that French people just surrender 😂
Watching this with my Somali family was way too funny even tho it was terrible 😂😂😂😂😂
I don't know which is more out of character for Cartman: That he spelled "ginger" correctly or that he doesn't speak Somali.
11:20, since i cant find anyone in the comments who explained it. the reason they were so quick to surrender is cause theyre french 😂 thats what theyre known for
The lesson that Cartman will never learn is that to appreciate what you got and not take it for granted and pirates isn't about adventure and don't throw away your good life for a pirate life.
1:45 "yo my man said Kyle not being able to be a pirate is a disability."
That wasn't what Cartman meant when he said Kyle acknowledged "his disability". 😅
Pretty sure you got it tho, I rock with the reactions! Keep it up!
I just thought of it, but wasnt ike supposed to be kicked of the crew, he's as jewish as kyle
MYSTERY OF THE URINAL TURD
I definitely recommend the episode “Dances with Smurfs”
Great episode yet no one reacts to it
Jews couldn’t become pirates but yet Cartman didn’t notice or care about Ike.
Maybe he doesn't consider Ike to be truly Jewish since he isn't blood related.
This is the first time watching this that I realized that given Cartman's conditions of who couldn't be pirates, why didn't he throw out Ike for being Jewish like he did with the ginger kid?
Bro didn't know what he got into
season 19 arguably the best season awaits soon. This is one of the few episodes where the beep censor makes the episode funnier, especially when Cartman says "What the"
i wouldnt say its the best dude honestly it gets better late season tho

I recommend Dances with Smurfs. It's an episode from the same season as this one and it centers on a Wendy vs Cartman conflict.
This one's for the algorithm, sir! I've been binging your SP reaction videos (even at work LOL) as a new subscriber & I'm pretty stoked to see you've reacted to Dave Chappelle too ^_^
I love watching these episodes again w/ you daz all! Keep 'em coming n' cheers from Manila 👋
It would have been super hilarious after they were rescued if Butter’s dad was on the ship with very angry parents and telling them all that they were grounded and Cartman ends the show with TF.
DUDE! Dances with Smurfs has GOT TO B your next SP video!! its the PERFECT follow up to this episode!!
3:27 Not to mention, Ike comes from a Jewish family (albeit by adoption).
I guess Cartman runs by Lady Tremaine logic, i.e. if they're not blood related, they're not family.
He’s Christian born Canadian doesn’t count 😂
Cartman's Silly Hate Crime 2000. I've only suggested it 20 times lol.
I just realised:
Ginger is an anagram of another particularly unmentionable word.
With what I seen it seems like cartmens best jobs would be a drug dealer terrorist or pirate
I think Cartman's saying being _Jewish_ is the disability. Could be wrong, but that's how I interpreted it.
Correct
Thanks for shortening the intro, love it!
Where do u whatch those vids please tell?
Cartman trying to find the one piece before Luffy
Ike is a fellow Canadian. He’s my favourite by far.

Season 16'Going Native' and 'Raising the bar'
As an Hispanic American, I'll never join Eric's Crew anyway cause he's little B. 😒
Pirates may actually be a fun idea for the 3rd game.
If i remember correctly this was at the height of the Somali pirates and after The Maersk Alabama take over.
