Country Inn & Suites, Abingdon, VA - Clean, Safe, Close to Creeper Trail & Downtown, Free Breakfast

We visited Abingdon, Virginia for one night on our way to Chesapeake. It is such a beautiful historic town. Beautiful architecture.
We stayed at Country Inn & Suites and it did not disappoint. It was clean, we felt safe and the location was excellent. They offer a free warm breakfast and the staff at check in and check out were so nice and informative. They were booked solid.
They have an outdoor pool, smoke parking. It was well lit at night.
The only cons that I had with our stay was we were in an adjoining room and it’s like our neighbors were in the room with us. The other con was our view of a transformer. I was like “what” !?! I am so glad we didn’t have a storm!
You could tell the place was older
But they have updated some. The carpet looked new.
