It's interesting how sometimes life teaches you that you can manage without having so many things that you once thought you couldn't live without. To every single thing there is an alternative.
I can wear a shirt for 12-15 to 20 years (except for wearing slightly more smart casual shirts and shoes when going out with my family), a pair of shoes for 5-6 years, I have perfume bottles that will last another 10 years for sure. I used some remaining baby shampoo (about 2/3 or a bottle) to wash my hair for two years. I`m having my own hair cut cause I am tired to school stupid barbers where I come from in advance about different stages in the process, including placing a mirror at the end behind my head, they seem not to know that, no wonder so many countries would gladly shit on the one I come from). In terms of food I am less frugal, though - I only need a little non-alcoholic beer and an alcoholic beer, a glass of wine and some icecream at least every three days. You can cut down on many, many things... but for sex and, only to a certain extent, on "spices" (wine, sweets). I mean, you can live merrily with few things, but not quite like a hermit, unfortunately I am too weak too avoid all pleasure and live in wilderness (also due to the confort I`ve got used to so far) and... to fornication desires. I don`t wanna hide behind the curtain. Anyhow, unfortunately casual sex often requires iving or showing off something which is the very opposite of minimalism, otherwise those partners may avoid you, thinking you are some "hobo"/"bushman"/"tramp".
I have a vacuum cleaner and an iron with board that rarely get used. Learn to use the broom and mop and to fold clothes . I find it very relaxing without the noise 😊
During the different seasons of my life, I have used a variety of kitchen gadgets and appliances. Some I have decluttered and will never need again, some I have bought recently. For example, when my children were little, a crock pot was indispensable. Now that there are 5 adults (and another one moving in next year) living in my home who have various work and eating schedules, I use my instant pot several times a week. I love your channel, because they hold no judgment and make me happy.😊
Ana- No one could argue with your current skin care practice. Your skin is beautiful and radiant! We have lived without a TV for 10 years now and we have never missed it. Except when basketball season rolls around, then my husband goes to a sports bar to watch. But he has never wanted to go back to owning one because our lives are richer without it.
I love this video! My kitchen is tiny, I am happy to have a stove and microwave. People always judge me for not owning a rice cooker, an air fryer, an insta pot. I have the bare minimum in my kitchen and still cook and bake every day! Have a great week Ana!
Love your balanced sensible approach to stuff. I have in the past comforted myself by buying things. Very slowly my old habits are passing. I value what I have got now and realise I have plenty and have donated lots to charity. I have a few useful treasures like my glass tea pot that strains the leaves. A wool blanket which is the deepest burgundy colour which is so warm which makes me feel comforted just by looking at it.
I don't have a kettle. I was looking around for a very long time for one that I liked and then saw an electric kettle. I came to my senses and realized that I truly do not need one when I have been heating my tea water in a ceramic saucepan for a few years now while waiting to find the correct kettle. I saved myself from blowing money on something that will do what I am already doing. I also clean my floors in the same way. I believe it's a very therapeutic and intentional way to show love to your space. Taking the time to clean helps me to appreciate my home even more. I even make my own floor cleaner.
Where I am from, you would be in trouble with your neighbours for shaking out your rugs from inside the building as aerodynamics make sure all the dust will land on your neighbours windows / balconies or what ever is underneath you… 😉😂
I think it’s so interesting to see, the things you can live without are not the things I could live without with a couple exceptions. I think lifestyle plays a huge role such a pets and kids and that can change everything drastically. I love your channel because it opens a new window to another life and I find it fascinating!
You can definitely do with out all of those things and be happy. However at my age, I’m prioritizing comfort and convenience when I can. For me, that means keeping my vacuum. I just microwave my water for 1 minute so I probably don’t need my kettle either 😊
Very interesting video. Sometimes we think that we can't live without certain things, but end up realizing that there is a substitute for some things. Love the mug on your thumbnail 😁
Hello, Ana, Thank you for sharing these ideas, on what I call just simplifying my life! I too have made a decision to cook everything with one large and one small pan, and a medium saucepan for boiling pasta and such. No need for gadgets, such as air fryers, instant pots, woks, griddles, etc., on and on! Where to store it all?! The thrift stores in the US are filled with expensive appliances and gadgets that no one really wants or needs. If I receive one as a gift, I simply and nicely return it to the giver as "thank you so much for your generosity, but it is not needed." I cook most meals at home, and enjoy the simplicity of using my same items every day. Be well and happy.
This is my favorite type of video you do. I love this discussion. Living in my car in the desert has been an exercise in minimal living. I found all the things you mentioned (that I have or used) are not necessary. I can get by just fine without my instant pot, although it is perhaps more necessary in Arizona summers when the outside temperature is 112 degrees and you don’t want to run the oven. But I think a better solution is changing the things you eat in the summer. Right now I have a single cooking pan and a single collapsible bowl, one set of cutlery, and I’m managing just fine. I leave here to go back to my home base in 2 days. Very sad to leave, but I have doctor appointments to keep, and it’s getting hot out here. Really enjoyed this video Anna. Love to you and Brian.
How very interesting: as a disabled person I need my electric tea kettle. I own a blow dryer, but have only used it maybe 2x in the last 5 years. I adore my tracking bracelet as it literally helps me keep track of the many things I need to do so my health doesn't rapidly decline. After this: I'll give away my iron board, but not my toaster. You look very relaxed in this video and hive a sense of inner peace. It is so lovely to see. A burst of flowers blooming to You as inspiration and joy, instead of a greeting. But as always lotsaluv from Texas❤🌼☘
Hey, Ana, I really appreciate your take on things, I feel SEEN! LOL! I do have a vacuum cleaner, as my space is quite large, also the stairs collect a massive amount of dust and cat hair, but nothing beats the good ol' getting down on the knees and making the floors squeeky clean, it is also a form of movement meditation for me. What resonates most is what you said about pots and pans, as all my friends wonder how I manage to cook with such a minimal amount of utensils, but they just take up space, and having few of them makes the proccess more efficient! I rarely find the time to comment on your videos, but you have a regular watcher, and you're a huge inspiration! 🥰
The only one of these items I own is an ironing board. 90% of what I wear are cotton dresses, and they look awful not ironed. I've tried ironing them on the table, but that did not work. So, I will keep my old wooden ironing board. I loved this video. You're an inspiration.
I'm with you. I have an iron but no board. I've been using the kitchen table for years. I am a sucker for kitchen appliances, but I have narrowed it down over the years. Each one has to have several applications. No one note wonders. Lol! But as I get older I find these things help me to process my food in ways I can no longer do manually. I don't have the strength and my hands hurt. So these things are extremely helpful to me.
I'm trying to prepare to get rid of the biggest thing I own, my car. These daysI rarely drive anywhere. I have a wonderful e-bike that has a lot of cargo capacity, and is perfect for most of the errands I do. I think when things feel burdensome rather than useful it's time to give them up, but it does take some courage.
I would like to encourage you! It is really possible to have a rich life without a car. Imagine a world where every second person would let go the car. What a relief! In so many ways! And if there is sometimes the situation where you really need a ride, take a cab or get things delivered. It is always far cheaper and far more pleasant than having a private car.
I have an e bike too that I would love to use for errands but where I live no matter how many locks you put on your bike it will be stolen .So for now I use it for exercise only can’t let it out of my sight
This is a great way to be intentional! I'm a student, and moving soon (just to another floor in the same residence building) and realizing that there are things I brought with me have not used in the entire 8 months that I've lived here! My criteria at this time in my life is that everything needs to fit into my honda civic, which means I have to downsize a little before I graduate.
Yes I too don’t have most of the items you mentioned. It’s challenging but satisfying to be inventive in how to use the items we already own in a slightly different way. Another great video. Wishing you both a lovely week ❤
Hi Ana So true! I lived without a kettle for a long time and only have one now because I was gifted a second-hand one. I do have a hairdryer, but it is something I rarely use, so I could probably manage without that too! Sending you good wishes for a happy week x
I've been trying to think like you do for some time now. The thought of "it's ok without it" has been helping me to let go of useless purchases and to actually use my money on things that I actually need. Your channel is very inspiring in many ways to my life, and I'm sure it is to many others too. Wish you the best❤
My vacuum cleaner, kettle, and toaster are my most used and precious appliances (the toaster is not an electronic one, I use it on the stove, but anyway). All the other things you mentioned I don't own either, and most of them I had never owned. I love your insights and perspective on this topic. Much love from Argentina 🇦🇷 ❤️
I actually got my vacuum when I became a mum,and I think that if I didn't have children, I would just clean the old way, I really enjoy cleaning, but right now I need to prioritize my time and energy for my kids.
I love hoovering! We bought one that is a little more expensive but is made to be serviced yourself and all the parts are fully replaceable so the idea is there is no designed obselecance (can't spell it)
Blenderless happiness :) We share many things with neighbours, living in an eco community. Tools and lawnmower, cars, washing machines, guestrooms. All such things can be shared and cared for together.
I am the same with ironing, some towels work fine and don't have an ironing board. I have a blender but it's stored in the back of a cabinet! I've considered getting an instant pot but doubt I would use it enough like the blender! I am recently without a car so have to walk back and forth to work and that's my exercise! I do own a hair dryer and tea kettle but would still survive without them. I have been trying to save money for the future so am also trying to only buy what I need. Really gets you thinking on how simply you can live.. It was interesting listening to you Ana and you still remind me of actress Rooney Mara 😊
Hello Ana, I haven’t visited your site for a while, but it is so nice to be back! You look well and happy and content, you are a lovely girl, and I like your clothes and style. God bless you and Brian. xx
Hi Ana! I was surprised to hear you have problematic skin because I was going to comment on how good your skin looks. Your skin looks very smooth and glowing.
I ditched the ironing board several years ago as I rarely iron, we went to a funeral recently and I ironed my husbands black linen jacket - same as you, with a towel on the floor.
Another thought-stimulating video, Ana! I had a hair dryer once but ended up giving it away. I didn't like that noisy thing near my head. I think it's very worthwhile to step aside from habit and convention regarding home appliances.
What a wonderful video! I found it so comforting and calming, and you just captured how sometimes simplifying can actually such a good thing, in making us pay more attention to what we do, what we need, etc... Keep up the great work! 😊
I have all of these now but there were times I didn't have any of them. Having your own place for long time living would make big difference in what items you own and use :)
My hoover (vacuum cleaner in uk) is essential to me with a labrador and two cats lol, I hoover my bed everyday when I get up as well as the rest of the house, buying a cordless vacuum was one of the best choices I ever made 😂 interesting to learn what everyone sees as useful for their life ❤
Because of the constant noise, that all these machines produce and which bother me very, very much, I rearranged my household 40 years ago - also only small washable rugs and all surfaces easy to wash. I remember once a vacuum cleaner-salesman at our door and I almost cried out loud, that I didn't switch to a "washable" household to now buy a vacuum cleaner! Since we had 7 kids, all our cushions and sofas needed a washable cover, though. But I never regretted my decision. Additionally those disposable dust-bags cost a fortune!
I like to hear how other people do household things. I used to have a handheld electric beater I enjoyed using but when it eventually fell on the floor and part of the plastic body broke off I use usually a whisk. It happened that a few months later I stopped using that because that was only to make pancakes and I have quit doing that for now. So it goes during life that circumstances change and it's nice not to buy extra things, especially if you don't know where you might be moving to next year or so. Thank you for your lovely videos.
One of the things I like about kitchen appliances is that they use significantly less energy than heating up the element on the stove. I understand that when space is really small and circumstances uncertain, that it is always a weigh and balance.
I'm retired and live alone in a large house. I don't buy all the "new and improved" stuff. If something breaks or wears out, I think long and hard before I replace it. I have a small stick vacuum but usually just use a broom and a mop for floor cleaning. I have a big kettle but rarely use it anymore. I prefer a small pan/lid which heats much faster for my hot beverages. I don't own an instapot. After my second Keurig broke within a few years, I decided not to replace it as it was wasteful and didn't make good coffee. I went to a pour over device which only cost a few dollars and makes great coffee. When my 15 year old blender broke, I waited a year before replacing it. I missed my fruit smoothies and a new blender was fairly inexpensive. So my approach is if it works well and suits my needs, I'll buy it. But there are few items I cannot do without! So if an item is expensive and doesn't work well or suit my needs, I don't buy it. I'd also advise anyone looking to replace household items to check out local thrift shops. They usually have good usable items at a fraction of what they cost new! 🤗👍🍭
right now we have sold our house and are moving across the country. We have known this for 2 yrs. We've been downsizing and now we have almost nothing left except what we absolutely need. We don't know where we will be living so we don't know what we will need. It's kinda scary, but freeing as well. We move in 14 days!!!
Hi Anastasia, thank you for this video. I'm glad that in the end you elaborated why you don't own certain things anymore as at the beginning I was not getting it (example: the kettle. I couldn't understand why you got rid of a kettle for boiling water on the hob, which is more energy consuming). It now makes all sense and I see that it's not you getting rid of stuff but just not buying stuff given the current situation. Thanks 💕
For people drinking tea or so regularly a kettle is the much better option than the stovetop, because it saves energy. Not having a kettle as a regular tea consumer and heating small portions of water on the stovetop is the opposite of frugal for me.
As usual, you have given us a very interesting and thought-provoking video. I have really loved hearing about the things that you no longer have and your reasons why. I have been minimising my life to make it simpler and so that I can spend my time and money on things that I value most. At first I was getting rid of unwanted items but now I am delving deeper to see whether it is possible to do without items that I enjoy using. Some of the items I am considering donating are on your list. I am doing it slowly so that I will have fewer regrets. My husband and I are reducing what we own so that we can move from our large home to a small apartment where our precious time will not need to be spent cleaning lots of rooms and organising belongings. By the way, your skin is positively glowing these days. Thank you.
I have a stick blender for making purées and pastes, and for whipping cream. I also occasionally make butter, which is very hard to do completely by hand. I'm not sure what an instant pot is, but I have a Remoska oven which I love because I can cook a small meal like a casserole for two people and it uses way less energy than a regular oven.
Hi Anna, you are looking good. Thanks for sharing this video. It resonated with me. During 2008 - beginning of 2011 I lived off the grid, with minimal "stuff". I loved it! 2011 I returned to the city to take care of my elderly parents. I live in a cottage with more stuff than when I was off grid (most of it gifted by friends) but I also don't use most of the things that you listed and I don't miss them. The only things on your list that I never own before are the fitness bracelet and the facial treatment gadget. I am all for working with what you have and we definitely don't need all of the gadgets available in the stores. Thanks for sharing your life with us. I am looking forward to your next video. Regards, from South Africa.
Hi Ana! Great video! I work in energy, and if the environment is important to you, you might consider reintroducing a toaster and electric tea kettle. They're more energy efficient than using the stove top. You could find used ones that don't require the production of new ones. No judgment either way! Just something to consider, depending on your values/priorities.
I agree a lot. I have been moving a lot and thus abstained from buying certain things. Lately I thought, finally I might stay at one place. But it turns out I will move again soon. Now I have a hoover and certain kitchen machines. I love them, but I know that they will add costs to my move. It is so true that when you are on a budget and you move a lot you think twice before you buy something and you learn that you are just fine without certain things.
I recently discover your channel Ana and loving it. I think you’re so genuine and real. I’ve been a minimalist for about 6 years and frugal for about 4. It has changed my life so much for the better. I must admit though, I still worry “a little bit” about how people see me, since I’m so different from how I used to be. So thanks for your videos and encouragement to be our real selfs x
Very interesting concept of how these modern tools make our lifes so easy and fast and less mindful and physical intensive! Especially how it relates to the two-income households of nowadays and all those developments and the possible uprise of 4 day workweeks
I do not own ultrasonic face cleaner(I even hear for the first time that something like exists), then fitness bracelet(doesn't make sense for me) and the instant pot(I have just simple pressure cooker). I'd like to add to your list electric teeth brush - I used to have it, but don't have anymore. And I could do without hair dryer although I own it. Have a nice evening Ana.
Thank you so much for sharing, Helena 🌻 Ha, and I actually have and enjoy my electric brush - it's just the best for uneven teeth like mine. again, everything is very personal and unique for everyone!
Im moving into my first bought house and its interesting to see all the things I don't need to buy as so many things are needless. Thank you for this great video.
Hi Ana. No instant pot, toaster or ironing board for me either. I also used to have a large selection of kitchen knives but now own just 2, a paring knife and a a Santoku knife. Those two do everything that a host of knives used to. It feels good to own less. Now if I could only whittle down my craft supplies...
I have just discovered you. I like this video and i am going to follow you. It seems that this channel will inspire me a lot during my journey in alow living and minimalism.
I think it's important to mention that if you DO have these items and decide you can't afford to maintain/aren't bringing intention or patience into your life - Do. Not. Throw. These. Items. In. The. Trash. Instead - sell them on facebook marketplace for cheap, hand to charity/friends/family or find another purpose for this item. Let's not add to the landfill! Forward thinking is very important for our earth's future :)
As I get older, I realise gadgets can be a burden so be wise in buying. Think of the maintenance costs as well as cost per use. I also agree that hand work like scrubbing the floors or utensils can be therapeutic if you have the right attitude. I play music that I love and this keeps me in a positive mood when doing chores.
Hi Ana! I totally agree with you about most of this, particularly the fitness bracelet. I do wonder if it is more economical to use an electric kettle rather than the stove to heat water, or the Instant Pot, but I understand your motive. Not cluttering your space with "timesaving" gadgets is a great idea.❤
Just found your channel, this is the first video I have watched...totally agree, husband and I downsized our house from five bedrooms to two ,many years ago, and found great freedom in giving so much away and embracing minimalism...apart from my craft supplies. But even they are pared down. Love your jumper by the way, did you knit it? Will now and go watch some of your other videos.
Very wise decisions. I have A.D.D. among other issues and really want to get rid of so many items, but I find it so overwhelming. I am going to keep trying. Please offer some prayers . Thank you.
I always struggle with washing the floor with mop and bucket to the point where the other day I just went over it with water and rags to get the worst of it off. It was so much nicer for my brain to deal with. Hate the noise from the vaccume and currently in downsizing mode however house is too big to not have one at this stage. I also like having the stove kettle (the ones that whistle when ready) that my friend has though I still have my electric kettle. I never use my ironing board and rarely the iron so that's going. I had to throw out my toaster and have been making do with the grill that's in the oven on the rare occasions I have toast. I can't even remember the last time I used my hair dryer (since I've had it really short last 3-4 years). Have a blender and used it for like the first two weeks and it's just stayed in my cupboard since then. The way society is built and growing is not really suitable for humans and mental health. There are fantastic inventions that help people with disabilities yet most of them are designed for "saving time" so people can be slaves at work 24/7 instead of enjoying the humanness of looking after our abodes and basic needs.
Hi Ana, thank you for your video. I think you will enjoy reading the book Honey from a Weed by Patience Gray. Have a good week, until next time. Gale x
I don't own a hair dryer, toaster, kettle, ultrasonic face cleaner (I didn't know it existed 😁) , instant pot (I don't know what that is), or fitness bracelet either.
I don't have a toaster, either. I realized I wasn't using it enough and it got really dirty inside and you can't reach in to clean them or take them apart so I got rid of it. I would like to get a rice cooker though because I think I would use it a lot.
You are a bag lady, HA! I love love love bags! Maybe not love, but like ALOT! I own no vacuum, no kettle, no toaster, no iron no board, my clothes are wrinkle free, no blender, I do KCup/. Blow dryer is necessary, I have naturally curly hair that will kink up.
I am down sizing as well for things I don’t use anymore. 7- yrs not using my food processor, extras spatulas, watermelon tool, coconut tool. Feels good I sold them. Right now I feel I am at a good space with all the things I have. Got my husband to weed out garage- man cave damn the stuff we collect. He was not happy but why do you need 15- jackets you haven’t worn in 8- yrs! Broken coat stand he tried to glue stop it - it is garbage. I have tightened up a lot book to sold them I do not plan to use. I continue to weed as I see stuff that doesn’t serve me. I just can’t take all the fatness of all that meaningless. You have to look at your stuff!
It's interesting how sometimes life teaches you that you can manage without having so many things that you once thought you couldn't live without. To every single thing there is an alternative.
That is the no. 1 lesson in my opinion. Most things we don't need except for the basics, and human relationships
I can wear a shirt for 12-15 to 20 years (except for wearing slightly more smart casual shirts and shoes when going out with my family), a pair of shoes for 5-6 years, I have perfume bottles that will last another 10 years for sure. It's so nice to see you settled in so well and with your husband after all you went through the past year or so.
What happened
Ana- No one could argue with your current skin care practice. Your skin is beautiful and radiant!
We have lived without a TV for 10 years now and we have never missed it. Except when basketball season rolls around, then my husband goes to a sports bar to watch. But he has never wanted to go back to owning one because our lives are richer without it.
I love this video! My kitchen is tiny, I am happy to have a stove and microwave. People always judge me for not owning a rice cooker, an air fryer, an insta pot. I have the bare minimum in my kitchen and still cook and bake every day! Have a great week Ana!

Great video as usual. Love your hair, it looks great.
Love to watch your videos.
Interesting subjects and your voice makes me feel very relaxed and calm ❤
Very enjoyable. It was like visiting with a friend 🥰💐
I don't have a kettle. I was looking around for a very long time for one that I liked and then saw an electric kettle. I came to my senses and realized that I truly do not need one when I have been heating my tea water in a ceramic saucepan for a few years now while waiting to find the correct kettle. I have a vacuum cleaner but often sweep the floors instead. It's quieter and meditative, and does a good-enough job.
Where I am from, you would be in trouble with your neighbours for shaking out your rugs from inside the building as aerodynamics make sure all the dust will land on your neighbours windows / balconies or what ever is underneath you… 😉😂

I got rid of my toaster like 20 yrs ago and I don't miss it at all. I don't eat a lot of bread and when I do I do like you and use a pan.
You can definitely do with out all of those things and be happy. However at my age, I’m prioritizing comfort and convenience when I can. For me, that means keeping my vacuum. I just microwave my water for 1 minute so I probably don’t need my kettle either 😊

It's so sweet of you to say this, Ksenija! Thank you for your kind words and sharing 💜 as for washing the floor, movement meditation it is, exactly!
The only one of these items I own is an ironing board. 90% of what I wear are cotton dresses, and they look awful not ironed. I've tried ironing them on the table, but that did not work. So, I will keep my old wooden ironing board. I loved this video. You're an inspiration.
having an old wooden ironing board sounds lovely (rather than a mass produced metal one ) 🙂
This is a great video. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing
I agree Ted, courage it takes... Good luck with getting rid of your car! An e-bike sounds like a wonderful alternative ☘️
I'm English so a kettle is essential!
Thanks for a fabulous video Ana!x
In the end, we need so little. I had to laugh when you showed your frying pan as the toaster. I do the same! 😊
Haha, so lovely to know you make the toasts the same "pan" way! 😊
Great video Ana have a fantastic day
Thank you, Liam! You too, have a beautiful day 🌿
@@anagoldberg thanks ana
Yes I too don’t have most of the items you mentioned. It’s challenging but satisfying to be inventive in how to use the items we already own in a slightly different way. Another great video. Wishing you both a lovely week ❤
Thank you, Sharon! You too, have a beautiful week🌷
Hi Ana
So true! I lived without a kettle for a long time and only have one now because I was gifted a second-hand one.
I do have a hairdryer, but it is something I rarely use, so I could probably manage without that too!
Sending you good wishes for a happy week x
Hi Claire! You too, have a beautiful week ahead 💜
I love your videos, they give me a feeling of calm in a fast-paced world. I also love your outros, they are art! 🌸
Hello Ariana 🌷 It's so great that you find much use and value in your items! Thank you for being here 💙 Love to Argentina
I love hoovering! We bought one that is a little more expensive but is made to be serviced yourself and all the parts are fully replaceable so the idea is there is no designed obselecance (can't spell it)
@@KatieM786 which brand?
@@konoppel6824 The brand is Lupe. It's a company set up by two people who used to work for Dyson
A beautiful video, as always dear Ana! I would be super interested in your skin care and oil cleansing routine, your skin looks great!
Me too re skin care routine!
I don’t use kettles either… and I live in England 😂
Hello Ana, I haven’t visited your site for a while, but it is so nice to be back! You look well and happy and content, you are a lovely girl, and I like your clothes and style. God bless you and Brian. xx
Hi Ana! I was surprised to hear you have problematic skin because I was going to comment on how good your skin looks. Your skin looks very smooth and glowing.
Hi Ann! Thank you for your kind compliment 🌷 I used to have adult acne and still struggle with blemishes, and I'm 40 already 😊
My hoover (vacuum cleaner in uk) is essential to me with a labrador and two cats lol, I hoover my bed everyday when I get up as well as the rest of the house, buying a cordless vacuum was one of the best choices I ever made 😂 interesting to learn what everyone sees as useful for their life ❤
I'm Aussie, I need my kettle and toaster! Also, with 5 cats, a vacuum cleaner is a must!! 🐱🐱
Well… thanks! I’m getting rid of my iron board right now! I always iron on the table anyway and the board takes up valuable space!! Thanks!!
The fitness bracelet really spoke to me
One of the things I like about kitchen appliances is that they use significantly less energy than heating up the element on the stove.
I aprpreciate you and your Videos so much Ana💚
Thank you.
Yes I iron on towels on top of the washer!

I don't use any of those objects but ironing board and kettle!
Hi Ana! Great video! I work in energy, and if the environment is important to you, you might consider reintroducing a toaster and electric tea kettle. They're more energy efficient than using the stove top. You could find used ones that don't require the production of new ones. No judgment either way! Just something to consider, depending on your values/priorities.
I don’t have a toaster either lol ❤
I'm so glad to meet you here, Maribel! 😊
Curious what you do for exercise and would love to see your evening self care routine!
Very interesting concept of how these modern tools make our lifes so easy and fast and less mindful and physical intensive! Especially how it relates to the two-income households of nowadays and all those developments and the possible uprise of 4 day workweeks
The sweater you wear in this video is so cute! It looks soft and such a relaxed fit, and the colors are perfect for you. Did you knit it yourself?
Thank you for your kind words, Shayna 🌹 Yes, I knitted it myself.
Your really talented🎉❤from Australia 🎉
I do not own ultrasonic face cleaner(I even hear for the first time that something like exists), then fitness bracelet(doesn't make sense for me) and the instant pot(I have just simple pressure cooker). I'd like to add to your list electric teeth brush - I used to have it, but don't have anymore. And I could do without hair dryer although I own it. Have a nice evening Ana.
Thank you so much for sharing, Helena 🌻 Ha, and I actually have and enjoy my electric brush - it's just the best for uneven teeth like mine. again, everything is very personal and unique for everyone!
@@anagoldberg Absolutely! 🌻
Im moving into my first bought house and its interesting to see all the things I don't need to buy as so many things are needless. Thank you for this great video.
You’re looking well Ana! It is amazing what we can do without when our choices are limited…😊
Thank you, Terry 🌺
I love this channel is really inspiring ❤
Hi Ana. No instant pot, toaster or ironing board for me either.
I also used to have a large selection of kitchen knives but now own just 2, a paring knife and a a Santoku knife. Those two do everything that a host of knives used to.
It feels good to own less. Now if I could only whittle down my craft supplies...
Minimum desires minimum dreams. Love natures & to go simple lifestyle
I have just discovered you. I like this video and i am going to follow you. It seems that this channel will inspire me a lot during my journey in alow living and minimalism.
i didnt even consider the noise from gadgets until just now. wow, something else to think about gladly on my extreme minimalism journey.
Hello Ana
We don’t have any of these items in our home 😀
I love these!!! ❤😊😊😊 I’m all for it! 🎉
Couldn’t do without my vacuum cleaner.I have tiled floors but I still use it a lot.
I would love to get rid of the kettle though.
Very wise decisions. I have A.D.D. among other issues and really want to get rid of so many items, but I find it so overwhelming. I am going to keep trying. Please offer some prayers . Thank you.
You can do it Linda baby steps

Gale x
Thank you for this recommendation, Gale!
Get brooms to sweep the floor. But it depends on the home size
I don’t have a dryer or kettle either lol
I don't own a hair dryer, toaster, kettle, ultrasonic face cleaner (I didn't know it existed 😁) , instant pot (I don't know what that is), or fitness bracelet either.
I like to broom&mop our floors, but since having small Kids I really use the vacuum almost every day.
I don't have a toaster, either. I realized I wasn't using it enough and it got really dirty inside and you can't reach in to clean them or take them apart so I got rid of it. I would like to get a rice cooker though because I think I would use it a lot.
Hi Ana, have we any chance to see a video abaut your minimalist skin care? The self massage especialy interest me! Have a nice day !
You are a bag lady, HA! I love love love bags! Maybe not love, but like ALOT!

You are not alone same problem with hubby lots and lots of stuff minimalist fell in love with a hoarder
