The screws on the door capping thread into T nuts that I was able to knock with a drift the nuts and screws can be purchased at the hardware store

Hi Donald, Great thank you, I have similar problem on the MGB I've recently purchased, something I can bear in mind when repairing these door caps, both screws are broken in one of them.
