  • The ferries leave from Hawes Pier (historic town situated to the west of Edinburgh) to the Inchcolm Island, known for its well-preserved medieval abbey and wartime fortifications. The ferry journey typically takes about 30 minutes each way. The service runs seasonally, usually from April to October.
There are remnants of fortifications from both World Wars, adding to the historical intrigue of the journey. You can see what's left behind from these fortifications on the way to the Inchcolm, plus the relaxing seals on buoy, that was a site to see :D
