Venesaur is one of my favorite decks. I love the moments where you have just venesaur out, tanking everything ao you cant be sabrinaed and then you heal for up to 120hp in one turn with Erica, potion, potion, Giant Bloom. Feels good man
Mog have you considered making discussion (or "yapping") videos as well? For example "Why Misty is bad design" or "Top 10 Cards Most In Need Of Buffs/Nerfs". I think it would be interesting and entertaining to hear your thoughts on these things, especially if you took the time to really flesh out each concept before recording. Love your work hermano, keep doing your thing! ✌️

I still have trouble being convinced that Lilligant is good. It's so easy for it to get knocked out before getting an energy back, which feels like a big commitment in a deck that is trying to get a 4 energy attack online
Hi! I feel you, but consider that Lili is also sponging a considerable amount of damage and chipping away at enemies' health while you build up your venesaur. The idea is not to use Lili to ramp faster, but to be abble to have some presence in the match while building your Veno and without slowing it down.
Isn't Exeggutor (non EX) better at that? Or is lilligant better because of the retreat cost? I guess that is the part I'm struggling to understand because it seems people agree that Lilligant is better. I just don't fully grasp why

Bit of a bummer not to see any Mythical Island cards put in this OG deck. Wonder if there are any interesting changes or additions that can be considered? I suppose Chatot could replace Caterpie and you may be able to fit a single Mew in there for bad matchups like Charizard.
He talked about this on stream. Basically trying to turn the tables on Charizard will make the deck less consistent. Just accept you're going to have counterplay.
Love the vid! Honestly though, the games posted in the video are pretty much all super lucky. Either the opponent doesn't draw into their combo at all, or they super low roll on Celebi. When I play this deck on ladder Celebi destroys my entire lineup before I draw into Venusaur
How come for moltres's energy ramp it auto allocates the energy if you only have 1 fire pokemon, but for lilligant you still have to click which mon to give the grass energy? Small indie company I guess
I still think Exeggutor is best partner for Venosaur. Also run a copy of Mew EX in my version. Leaf makes Exeggutor just mobile enough to not be a complete brick
@@DragonCollector01 Yeah main issue with Lilligant is that it requires 2 energy and a xspeed if you are preserving it's hp. Greedy card that only only works if opponent has a bad hand.

Its probably terrible, and I could totally try it myself, but would be interesting to see how well drudigon, and poliwrath synergize. You can easily run two energies, since poli has only 1 water cost, and get some nice return damage. I dont know what would be a good addition to make it work though. What you think?
Probably wouldn't be that good given two stage 2 lines, even with caterpie finding your pieces, you have nothing on the front tanking and dealing damage like liligant in the early game
It's almost sad to compare Venusaur to Golem. Golem hits harder, not only heals for the same but preemptively heals... Guard press at full health still works. Venusaur gets 30 extra health and a weaker attack, but costs 2 points. Really Golem is just really good!

I liked how they gave a niche option so Caterpie wouldn't be a forgotten Pokémon.
Being able to search for non basics is subtle difference but very powerful in practice, especially when using pokeballs and other draw.
1 Caterpillar definitely a MVP when it happens.

Venus' full art goes hard AF!! I honestly prefer the full art cards to the other high rarity cards, the background colors make them look so cool IMO
